We had experienced TQD instruction under another master when we lived out of state, and by comparison, Master Chon is truly exceptional. He has a gift for teaching. My son is 7-years-old now and he started TKD in September of 2018. We tried a few different team sports, but nothing really seemed to spark his interest. He’s very competitive, but we found him becoming a bit discouraged overall. After researching martial arts and the incredible skill & discipline involved, we fortunately met Master Chon and attended a trial class at Tiger Sanford. My son was sold on it from the beginning and absolutely loves it. Since a student’s progress in TKD is mainly self-driven, he’s learning independence in that his advancement to the next belt is ultimately up to how hard he works...and how he treats others - especially his parents! I cannot even begin to express our gratitude to Master Chon for not only passing on his expertise in TKD, but for also instilling independence, discipline, courage, and respect in our kids!

I gained a great deal of self-confidence while attending Master Chons school. My flexibility and strength also have increased ten fold. I strongly encourage women in particular to consider learning taekwondo under Master Chons expert instruction.

Adults and children learn great techniques and traditional Taekwando philosophy from Master Chon that is great for both physical and mental training.

A neat Dojang w/ matted floors (in case you fall), and its for people of all age groups. Theres a lot of students in their teens now, but a few adults as well (like myself). Got my black belt from another place and recently started TKD again here 3 mnths ago after 5yrs of not exercising and I think Im finally getting back in shape! Master Chon is very approachable and committed to teaching. He not only teaches martial arts but also his culture of respect and discipline (would be a great place to send your revolutionizing teens to!) Highly recommended!

My older son has been taking Tae Kwon Do with Master Chon for over 3 years both lessons and summer camp. It has been such a wonderful experience that I have now signed up my second oldest son and they both now attend. Master Chon relates well to children of varying personality types and abilities (as well as their parents!). Our preschooler has recently started attending Master Chons class. I am glad that I found Master Chon when moving to Lake Mary from Orlando. Learning from a Master who is not only a native Korean martial artist but also has a University degree in Taekwondo does make a major different. Everything I have learned so far from Master Chon is all about the details and the correctness of true authentic Taekwondo and Hapkido techniques, not just some made-up works. And now with the new program to include Judo, it is just a best school to be at for learning, mixing, and discovering different practical self-defense techniques for a far distance all the way to a complete close distance. Besides learning the martial arts skills, I also have a chance to experience and learn from Master Chon the Korean culture, believes, philosophies, and the real TKD learning system. Since I have been studying under Master Chon, I find myself everyday coming to work with happiness and open-minded attitudes. I think what I have learned in the class physically and mentally has just become part of me now without me knowing about it. I am a father myself too and I can’t wait until my kids get to an appropriate age to have them attend the school and have the chance to learn the same great things from Master Chon. I have been training Taekwondo since i was in korea.and when I came to states I never met real taekwondo master before I meet Master Chon,he is very professional and keep the way of very original style. Master Chon will share not only his martial arts skills and ability to teach, but also Korean culture with his students. Master Chon is always approachable and his teaching style is diverse and well-rounded, whether teaching the group as a whole or working with individual students. Master Chon also works very well with students with special needs, and is very accommodating to students on the autism spectrum.Again, there are a lot of places to go learn how to punch and kick, and even learn discipline. My son has studied with Master Chon for since 2006. Master Chon is a World Taekwondo Federation Certified Master; a W.T.F. Certified Referee, he is a W.T.F. Certified 5th Degree Black Belt, a Mae Duk Kwan 6th Degree Black Belt, and a Hapkido 4th Degree Black Belt.I studied Taekwondo several years ago and realize that mastering this martial art requires excellence, devotion and resolve. As a teacher for over 25 years I know that many people are not natural educators. I have observed his teaching style extensively, he is an extraordinary educator who is able to inspire his students to reach their peak performance. He instills in each of them a sense of self worth and a belief in their full potential. He gently but firmly allows each student to develop at their own pace while emphasizing each student’s strengths and constructively point out weaknesses. He understands it is crucial that the teacher makes the student understand that improvement is ongoing. My son has been inspired by Master Chon, He is a wonderful role model and my son has learned self confidence, to persevere and to work hard.
