As bad as the reviews are, this school is more of a last chance school. If youre planning to bring your child here thinking its a normal school - DONT, if your child doesnt act normally theyll be treated like an inmate and if your child doesnt act up they may be treated like they would in a public school depending on what grade and what teacher they have. I was a student in this school for a long time and I actually think its a great school.

This school could take a BIG L its not a good place to stay the staffs dont care about you and they will always lie on you to get in trouble and they feed you nasty food from plastic bags. I will prefer to go to jail than rather be in here. DONT EVER COME TO THIS PLACE

I have worked at Journeys Academy. Family like work environment. Students really can focus and get back on track if they the student focus on the their school work.

This school is honestly trash. The staff seem nice at first but then theyre mean and give 0 reason for the actions they do to you. This is supposed to be a place that gives you a second chance once expelled but they treat you like youre one of the worst kids in America.

I dont like this school, kids are sent there as punishment for what ever they did wrong. Regardless if their actions were extremely bad, or a 1st time mistake. ... they ALL are punished the same. I dont agree with placingg a A/B student who has never been in trouble, but following friends, she made a mistake. But shes being punished the same as a student who was expelled, plus she has a disability which played a role in her mistake. SMH n the lunch is very little, n questionable as to the expiration date. Their academics there arent as strong as public schools. Staff at orientation admitted that when a child transitions back to her regular school, it will b intense cause shes used to beinh given less class & homework, than the regular school. Ive gone in person to see her counselor because my calls werent returned, but when I get to journeys im told I have to call even if im at the same location o_0 I can go on but im so disgusted, im done >:[
