Team Alves is more than a Jiu Jitsu academy. We are a family. As Professor Manny says Jiu Jitsu is for everybody. Whether you are looking to train for self defense, fitness, or be a competitive athlete Manny can help you with your goal.We have a laid back atmosphere, and a great group of people. If you are younger and want to go hard we have people who can help you with that. If youre older and a little beat up like me we have people who can help you as well. Manny has done a great job of cultivating a school where everyone keeps their ego in check.If you have kids we have a kids program. If you cant find someone to watch your kids and you want to train he allows you to bring your kids as long as they arent disturbing class theyre welcome to come.I have been with Manny for over 10 years now. I bring my kids to open mats. Sometimes we BBQ after training. A couple of times a year Manny hosts an event at the beach where we bring the mats and we all train at the beach and have a bbq. He always invites the other schools in the area to come the beach.Manny offers multiple class times to fit your busy schedule. His instruction and technique is excellent.Come on by and try it out. Professor Manny’s in-class instruction is effective and memorable and he is great with customer service. He teaches competition gi and nogi Jiu-jitsu as well as self-defense jiu-jitsu classes. I have been training with him for several months now and just competed and won my first competition. I can not recommend this gym enough, it has totally transformed me for the better, mentally and physically.
