My son chose Hwa Rang Do when he was four years old. His mother and I told him that if he was still interested in it when he was five we would let him join. On his Fifth birthday he told us he wanted to sign up. He is now almost ten and has been diligently working towards his second degree black belt. Master Yum and Michael do much more than teach a martial art. They teach children, character and commitment. They teach children the values of Family, Country and Teachers. My son lives these values not only because they are important to my wife and I but they are the reinforced in each and every class. We have made great friends through Hwa Rang Do and hope that Nico stays with it forever.

Yum’s Hwarangdo is more than just your basic martial arts training center. At Yum’s karate you are welcomed into an atmosphere where you feel like family. It is a place where virtues, inner values, and discipline are paramount. For me personally, it was a perfect environment of camaraderie, discipline, and growth. Not your typical run of the mill karate place. Its a brilliant mixture of self defense, mind and body discipline, art and culture. My children have been going for years and I have nothing but the highest compliments for this institution. The owner and employees have been the same ever since and the same students as well. Which shows that theyre helping and changing lives. I got my son involved because he was having trouble focusing in school. this began improving within weeks and he hasnt stopped improving since. I am 54 years old and I am a physician.I joined Yums Karate two years ago as I was invited to practice with my sons for a short trial and I have stayed. Hwa Rang Do has been the best thing Ive done for my focus, discipline, skill, endurance, strength, and both physically and mentally. Grand Master Ki Tae Yum and his instructors are great examples of how martial arts can improve every ones life. They care and show respect for each individual and their enthusiasm makes demanding workouts and lessons a joy. I look forward to going to the Dojang every chance I get.

Florida Hwa Rang Do is a great place to learn a traditional martial art. Grand Master Ki Tae Yum and the instructors do a fantastic job of teaching how to kick, punch, and defend yourself but they also stress the importance of having discipline, focus, and endurance as the students train so they can further improve themselves. They do a great job of correlating how these characteristics will not only help them in the dojang but also throughout their whole lives. I always enjoy going there to train because of the welcoming atmosphere as well as knowing i am about to do an intense and fun class of Hwa Rang Do. Grand Master Ki Tae Yum and all of the people at Florida Hwa Rang Do are supportive and kind, Florida Hwa Rang Do cannot be matched.
