Hello all, I would like to say that American Intercontinental University has been a great choice for me. I am from India and I wanted to study at a US Business School so that one day I can look for jobs in the USA. Since I am working full time as an engineer, I can only study in my evening times and during weekends. It has been quite easy for me to balance my work and studies. The curriculum of Technology Management is really good. I am constantly learning new things and also applying some of them at my current job, experience so far has been great. #AIU #Talentedge

I joined AIU MBA in Human Resource Management though talentedge in June. It’s the best thing that I have done for my development to date. I was recently introduced to my mentor who is an extremely experienced HR professional. My mentor has taken a keen interest in my development and I feel so lucky to have received this opportunity to be guided by such a professional. I am a current student. Im not having too many problems with my classes or the website, but since my Student Advisor and Financial Advvisor changed it has been a whole different experience. My last student advisor called me every week, and my newest one has only called me once or twice in the past 2 months. My last financial advisor would help me with calls to previous lenders, my new financial advisor called to tell me that I had to contact another previous lender about a letter that is needed from them. Although the new financial advisor did provide me with the contact information for the lender, he did not offer to help me with the call even after I told him that my previous advisor always helped me with those calls.I will definitely change schools when I am ready to complete my Masters degree.

I graduated from AIU Online with honors in 2007. I earned an Associate of Arts degree in Business Administration. I took out a loan of close to $25,000, all through several different lenders which was not even close to being explained to me. As of 2021, I still owe money from my original loan. During the whole 13 months I was enrolled at AIU I was making monthly payments of $100. Attending this school is by far my biggest regret in life. I was told I would have job placement and assistance finding a job after I graduated. I didnt receive either. This for-profit school gave me false hope of a career and a ton of high interest rate debt. Shame on you AIU!!!

I’m only giving 5 stars so my comment is seen, otherwise I would’ve given a -5. The whole experience with this school was terrible from the beginning. The “advisor” I had was rude and very passive to any questions or concerns I had. He lied to me on the phone call about enrollment and the paperwork given. I had to call so many different departments to try and get ahold of someone who could help me because the advisor was worthless. I decided I didn’t want to continue with going here because of how all the issues I had and the advisor wanted to argue with me to the point I had to threaten legal action which I was more than willing to proceed with. Absolutely terrible.

When I talked to Quai or Kawaii or whatever her name is and told her how upset it was about the repeated calls while I was trying to sleep, and that information could have been sent via email, she repeatedly cut me off, said she would remove my number and disconnected the call. And its all on a recorded line. Hope she is fired. Hope you lose your accreditations. I never studied online before and due to COVID19, I had to opt for an online MBA since I didn’t want to waste the downtime. Luckily I joined American Intercontinental University through the selection process by Talentedge. My experience has been very good indeed. Online learning is different from on-campus learning and I do miss the classroom setting but AIU faculty does its best to create a nice and easy online learning environment. I think where AIU shines is the self-paced platform which allows me to pace myself in my own way. Besides this, I feel that Talentedge offers a low tuition fee and still brings highly experienced professors from everywhere in the world to teach which I have not seen before. All in all, I feel happy to choose an MBA in Human Resource Management.

I recommend American Intercontinental University to everyone since it is a very affordable and high-quality institution that is trying to provide the best education to its students. Because of COVID, I lost my job but I still wanted to study and use the time available as much as possible. I am pursuing my MBA with a specialization in Healthcare Management from AIU and I am happy with the format since it allows me a lot of flexibility in how I choose to study. I like the way the assignments are provided and the focus on practical aspects of decision-making and critical thinking. I was not looking for a program where they only teach theory and this program has been great that way. Some courses are theoretical but for those courses, it is required to know a lot of theory so I guess that is fine. The best part was that I did my test through intellipath and was amazed at the feedback I received. Kudos, AIU, Thank you Talentedge for assisting through the admission!

AIU online is the WORST online university ever!!! They resort to predatory business practices in recruiting students. Its extremely costly as they make you take loans if you cant pay up front. As a result, I am stuck with over $100K in student loans both federal and private. The degrees obtained a BBA in HR Management has not resulted in getting a job in the field. I subsequently, after 10+ years in Customer Service finally found a job in HR.I was academically dismissed from the university and denied appeals to finish the MBA program. Ive tried over the years other universities to enroll in a graduate program, but told they WILL NOT accept any of my credits because AIU converted the MBA into a degree and its not transferable. Therefore, I have to start over. Its costly to start over and with six figure loan debt, finding the most cost effective ways possible proves difficult.AIU was not a great experience and I wish I knew as a union member and city employee, I could have went to college low cost or for free!!!! Im now stuck thinking the degree would advance my career, but it did the opposite. I sent another revocation of appeal as a last-ditch effort to finish the one or two courses needed for the MBA if the answer is no, Ill have to figure out options to do so as low cost as possible.

I spoke to a representative for about half an hour and he seemed extremely upset when I declined to finish my enrollment process. It was just a really comfortable experience for me they also reached out to me again after the initial conversation and when I said I was no longer interested they asked me “ well then what did you request information for“. As someone who worked for this establishment for almost a year the bad reviews do not do it justice. The school is an absolute scam to prey on lower income individuals to put them in debt to the school. As an admissions advisor I learned very fast that this school does not have morals they just want your money. My best advice if the school contacts you just say you are currently attending school on a scholarship they will leave you alone then. Do not let them talk you into applying. Doing this Will lead to them billing you. A degree from this school also does not carry a lot of weight. I was turned down from numerous interviews just because I worked at AIU. Another way to avoid calls give them a fake number. If you are requesting information and nothing else be very firm, do not let the advisors take control of the call. Just keep demanding the information be sent to your email and hang up.

I have received numerous requests to speak on their behalf as an Alumni over the years via mail at my old address and my new one (been at current address for 11 years)but up until today I have never and I repeat never received a notification that I had an outstanding balance due to them for my schooling. Today, I received a bill from a debt collection agency stating that I owed $2,242.09 but they would settle for $560.52. There is also a disclaimer on the notice that states This debt is too old for you to be sued on it in court as the statue of limitations has expired, and you cant be required to pay it through a lawsuit. I withdrew before my next semester even started, I paid my out-of-pocket expenses to that date so I dont how I owed anything. Not to mention, its been 11 years, 7 months since I attended your school. Im positive if this was accurate if you were an upstanding, creditable institution it would not have taking this long to be contacted or billed. Ridiculous is all I can say. I worked here for a month and was disgusted from their cold call marketing. They literally work like they’re selling a product not education. The degree itself is terrible you won’t find a job anywhere. Just a waist of money, it’s disappointing how our education system is 100% about the money even though there’s no value whatsoever to the degree itself. Don’t fall for it guys.

Don’t attend here waist of time. I used my GI Bill here and decided to take a break from school for awhile. I talked to them and the va they called me back saying I owe money. I called the va and called them multiple times to reach my financial aid advisor. She never picked up the phone or called me back... all she had to do was tell the va I was in school and they would have gotten their money. I received multiple calls from other people working with them to pay but they can’t help nor talk to the va. This school was a waste of time truly wish I went somewhere else.

Like everyone else, stay away. Not only is it 5X more expensive than just going local online school, but they clearly screw people out of money. They are trying to bill me for a withdraw fee after I completed my course. All of my student loans have been paid off for 2 years and now they wont let me get my transcript saying I owe them money. Never made aware, never given details on how or why, never given any reason. Ombudsman clearly doesnt know his role. The worst. RUN, pay for college elsewhere and save the headaches! As I told them, it is cheaper for me to retake the classes than to pay this false bill to get my transcript. Waste of my time and energy. Anyone else ready for a class action lawsuit as Im filing mine to Jeffrey Ayers and Gail Rago.

DO NOT ENROLL HERE!!!! THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY AND RACK UP DEBITI attended this school 15 years ago for less than a semester because their website was terrible and they offered very little, if any, help with submitting work. I am still paying on the student loan which they took 100% of. Today I received a bill from collections for $900 stating that I can settle for $200!! There is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY I OWE THEM ANYTHING!! like I said, I was there LESS THAN a semester!! The student loan was for at least $6,000! And after 15 years this is the first Ive heard about having an outstanding balance. SCAM!!

I have been trying to retrieve my transcript from AIU to be sent over to another school and I have been having a hard time. I have been requesting this for going on 7 weeks now and the excuse they give is that there is a hold on my account for a baccalaureate transcript. Never heard of this and when I inquired they stated they dont have proof from Clayton State that I received my bachelors degree. My response was so you guys allowed me to enroll and take classes in a graduated program before confirming I had obtained a bachelors. I again requested my transcript from Clayton State and I got confirmation of the date and time the transcript was received but AIU however, they claim they dont have it or they cant find it. The sad part is that if I never had to request transcripts, they would have never informed me. This process has been very devastating and I am supposed to start classes in two weeks and I am stuck because AIU is not holding up o their part. I have spoken to several of their staff regarding this matter and they all have told me something different.

Was a student there from 2011 to this year. I dont know what the heck happened between when I started and now, but it was a complete 180. When I first joined as an online student, it felt like an actual school with people on hand to answer your questions, and even professional courtesies to let you know when a class was ending, when the new one started, and when to expect student loan refunds. Flash forward this year, every department is an absolute mess. They mishandled my student loans, and ended up refunding me my money 4 months after I was supposed to receive it, and when you are struggling, that little bit helps. Each department sounds outsourced (I worked customer service so I know when someone is reading a script to me), there are no updates via email, and when you do call in to one of the departments you get the go-around. I recommended this school to my sister, but she never got to finish her program.. she felt the same way about AIU starting out and then what it became at the end. And when I saw commercials for it on TV, my heart sank, as thats like one of the first signs you might be going to a crappy school. In any case, the platform has changed too much, the attitude has changed too much, and now everything just feels automated and sterile and unfeeling. I do not recommend going to this school, because the only thing real about it is the student loans youll be paying back for going to this clown school.Just awful. Do. Not. Go. Here.

I received my MBA through AIU a few years ago. Im seeing a lot of negative reviews but I have to say it was a very positive experience for me. I was able to apply my learnings in my job and the degree helped me move into higher level positions that would not have been available to me otherwise. The courses were well-designed and the pace was challenging but attainable if you apply yourself.

Choosing this school was the worst, most expensive mistake I have ever made. The classes were horrible, poor curriculum. The enrollment office made a mistake which cost me a lot in scholarships. Once I graduated and declined to advance further in my degree...they did not follow through on anything I was told in the beginning. DO NOT GO HERE.

Current student in the Criminal Justice Online Program. DO NOT GO HERE! This is my first college ever so I wasn’t really sure about what to look for in a school. I definitely know what to watch out for now.Classes are NOT flexible. They claim to be Military friendly, but aren’t really. Only received 4.5 credits for my military service which translates to only 3 credits because the school uses quarter credits. And I had to take these required elective classes (like 3 or 4) about self development that we’re a huge waste of time. I have credits they could have used from my military transcript because I’ve done over 80 hours of self development training.I have had some good instructors and I have had a lot of bad ones. The instructors do not provide clear instructions on assignments and are never available when you have questions. I am active duty so the only real time I have for school work is on the weekends. If I run in to confusion on assignments I have to wait til at least Monday for a response and the deadlines are always Tuesday at midnight.Instructors will provide grading rubrics that they do not stick to so good luck getting the grade you deserve. Most instructors have a god complex and want you to kiss their feet. I emailed an instructor because of the way she graded my paper. She took off point for saying that I didn’t mention key points in my assignment that I DID MENTION. When I pointed this out to her she said she was justified and not changing my grade. She also took 10% off of my final grade for an essay and for discussion assignments that I had submitted late because I didn’t provide proof that my father-in law had passed away. She never asked for proof.Another instructor did not provide clear instructions on an assignment. I messaged her multiple times asking for clarification and if I could re do the assignment and just turn it in as late last Friday and she didn’t respond to any of my messages. I ended up redoing the assignment and emailing her when I submit it and she just said that she can’t accept it and she trusts that I understand. She wouldn’t even LOOK at it.I have also ended up having to pay out of pocket for classes because my academic advisor did not call me back within the add drop window so I had to be withdrawn from the class and my grant wouldn’t cover it.They also use a HORRIBLE software called Intellipath which is basically a system to do lessons on and answer questions and it is worth roughly 1/3 of your total grade. The intellipath has SO many errors and typos and information that is completely wrong or contradicts itself. I have complained to instructors, technical support, and my academic advisor and they all said that there was nothing that could be done because it’s a third-party system. My military financial aid advisor dropped off the face of the earth for MONTHS (since January) and was unavailable to help me or answer any questions about anything. I finally heard from her on Monday and it was only because they had not received confirmation that I applied for tuition assistance for an upcoming class. I didn’t apply because I’m not taking that class due to my stress level and being 7 months pregnant. This school doesn’t even deserve 1 star. I’m finishing out my last 4 classes and never looking back. I can’t believe this place is accredited.

Then called back the next day and they said it would be sent to their supervisor and handled Monday. it is not Thursday and Ive heard nothing back to verify I am not enrolled here. I call and call and no one answers any of the lines. half the options I choose just disconnect the call. the direct line I had to my advisor rings once and goes to voicemail. what kind of business are you running here?

Its becoming borderline harassment and I am filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau the next time I have access to a PC for harassment.I have literally told them 4 times now to stop contacting me yet they keep trying to get me to sign up. Better check into this for profit university before getting any student loans and actually trying to get a degree. Go and Google Rip-off Report and type in this school. There are many, many complaints. They ruined my sons credit with worthless classes that do not transfer anywhere. We will be seeking legal help to get the collectors off my sons back. This university is owned by Career Education Corporation. And is NOT nationally accredited (only regionally accredited). You should Google that also. BEWARE of this place.

Wow, I didnt encounter any problems while attending AIU. I finished my Masters degree, a two year program, in one year. I didnt let be a drag out program. My professors were awesome, and would let me know when my grades were slipping. Online courses are for people who can work alone with no guidance. I didnt need any of that, just give me my assignments. We did one group assignment in each class, and that was the hardest thing contacting people to complete assignments. Outside of that the school was pretty good.

Unprofessional. If i could id leave zero stars. The supervisor was mouthy unprofessional and rude. Also how hard is proper grammar ? Transferring between chicago and atlanta office before getting a very unprofessional supervisor. Be aware that the option 4 for feedback and improvements does not work. A admission application also enrolls and registers you for classes without your permission. A literal quote “What is more important a roof over your head or college?” That is beyond not professional to say. When the applicant says I’m not wanting to attend college at this moment due to financial reasons, i am simply seeing what my options are. If you call the Chicago number be prepared for your call to go to Atlanta. Be prepared for unprofessionalism. DO NOT APPLY HERE! If this is how they act during the application process and trying to unregister for classes. Imagine the rest of the experience you would have, and if their office staff act this way i am fearful of how their professors act.

Im about to graduate in 5 months and get my BA in Entrepreneurship. AIU is the best decision I ever made. Brandy Barth was my advisor most of my attendance at AIU, she was amazing and really showed interest and care. I have no complaints with this school. Its a huge blessing because I learn and work at the time most convenient for me. And the instructors are all very experienced in the subject they teach. With that being said, Im confused as to why so many have complaints while my experience as been a stellar one.
