My 3 children have been going here pretty much since birth. While we have had a few issues, we are overall happy with the school. The problems we did have were addressed quickly, and I always felt I was being heard. My kids come home happy, and are happy to go most days (some mornings are harder then others). There was a period of time where they seemed to cycle through teachers in their 2s class when my daughter was in there, but the teachers they have in there now are awesome!

My daughter goes here, and she absolutely loves all the teachers! She talks about them at home, and almost every day she comes home with a new song or a new idea. They truly do a great job of providing day care, teaching, and helping your little one grow. Shes learning social skills as well, which is great, because we moved here from Iowa 2 years ago, so we dont have family here. I would (and have) definitely recommend First Steps to anyone shopping for daycare. I trust them 100% with my little girl, and I have built a great relationship with them as well. They are always welcoming, and always greet you with a smile!

I just took my daughter out today cause they feel the need to call me from my job every other day because she has “diarrhea”. Best decision I’ve made. They need to learn what diarrhea really looks like. Seeing how they all have PhD’s. The director or what she is should learn how to deal with people and their children much better than she does. I had time today, but to not to waste on the ignorant.

My 2 & 4 year olds attend First Steps and they are so loved and cared for here. My older child has Down syndrome and has been welcomed and included from day one. I highly recommend this preschool to anyone!

The director, Marcie, is unbelievably combative and unprofessional. I have toured a great deal of day care facilities, and this one will never ever have my business. I do not see how this place stays in business with such a rude person leading. When I asked questions she snapped at me. When I brought up a concern I was seeing right there during the tour, she became hostile and defensive.If you look at some of the reviews on Google, for example, you will see a repeated pattern in the negative reviews. Meeting Marcie in person confirmed 100% that the negative reviews out there are valid. This person is a snake. I will never ever entrust my baby with an organization led by such an angry and emotionally unstable person as Marcie. Run far away and dont look back!! There are dozens of reasonable day care facilities in the area. Keep looking!!!

My 3 year old has been enrolled here for the past year, and we are happy. There arent a ton of bells and whistles, but my daughter is excited to go everyday. They dont have any screen-time, and they are always doing different activities when i drop off and pick up. Breakfast always smells AMAZING in the morning, and their menu always has different things I would never expect her to eat... but she does! Her new favorite is Sweet Peppers with Ranch. Their parking lot is difficult to manage at times, but its usually only for a few minutes and then spots open up. We look forward to next year in Miss Lindys Pre-K!

My daughter has been here for 2 years and I just love all the teachers! They all welcome her when she arrive and she is always made to feel special. I have read other reviews talking about yelling and poor business practices, but am glad to say I have never encountered any of those issues. I would highly recommend this school! I would have given it 5 stars but my only concern is the proximity to a main road.

My son has been going here for about 6 months and we couldnt be happier. His language has developed so much since he has started attending. He comes home singing little songs and is so excited to show us his art work. We found the school through the Quality First program which made the wife feel more comfortable with leaving our little one with someone else. I love how they have home cooked meals much bettter than the last daycare we where at. We even have made friends with other parents and most of the parents love this center. In my opinion the negative reviews seem to be from parents that didnt read the contract and tried to skip out on payments.

My 4 year old has been here for about 3.5 years, and we wouldnt still be here If we didnt love it. He started in the ones, and has been through every classroom. The staff turnover was high for a few months in the 2s class, but since that issue there has been consistency. He is learning with Ms. Lindy, and Im sure hell be ready for Kindergarten next year. Their playground is awesome! The only thing that sucks is their parking.

Both my kids have attended First Steps since they were about 2 years old (give or take). My daughter is now 5 and in Kindergarten but when we drop off her younger brother here everyday, she likes to stop and talk to her old teachers and say hi and give hugs. She had gone here since she was 18 months old and had always enjoyed being dropped off here everyday. She would come home with cute little art projects every week and talking about something new she learned. The staff was super helpful during the potty training period and I honestly believe it was because they helped keep up with the training at school that my daughter was potty trained so fast. Their Kindergarten prep was awesome as well and I was actually able to enroll my daughter in kindergarten early because she was so prepared already (thank you Miss Lindy!). My daughter and our family has also made some amazing friends through the school and we still see them regularly.They have also been amazingly helpful and patient with my 3 year old son. He has been attending since he turned 2. Shortly after the time of enrollment and his birthday, we found out that he had probably not been hearing from age 1 to 2, due to massive fluid build up in his ears. Since there were no signs or symptoms other than speech delay it wasnt caught sooner. But First Steps has been amazing with our son. Because of the speech delay he would act out occasionally and really struggled with not being able to communicate. The have been so patient and have helped us with him by providing information and recommendations for additional outside help so we could get him on track. He has made amazing strides this past year and I know we couldnt have done it without their help during school as well.I think my only criticism would be that it seemed for a while that there was a kind of high turn over rate for teachers in the 2s classroom. But what was weird about it, was that they always seemed to hire the most amazing teachers to replace those who left. But, honestly, I dont think I could be a teacher of 2 year olds for very long so I doubt its probably all that strange in the daycare business. :)Overall, my children and my family adore First Steps and all the staff there. My kids were/are always happy to be there and love their teachers. I am so glad to have found them for my kids and I am thankful everyday that I have a place to take my kids where they are happy, fulfilled and well taken care of.

This place is awful.There are a lot of much better daycares out there. Don’t risk getting sued by First Steps if they decide to text you one day saying you owe them money after they give your child’s spot away. Most people would expect an invoice for something like that, but that’s “not how First Steps conducts business”. They don’t reach out to you like professionals and invoice you, they simply sue you. Complete scumbag move. But thanks to Marcy being a money hungry grub, we found a much better, cleaner, happier daycare where my son actually learns and isn’t sick on a weekly basis.First Steps is terrible. This is the absolute worst daycare i have ever seen. They had a huge lice infestation one friday afternoon. Like most parents i feel they should have noticed it sooner. I did not want my child to get it so i moved him to another daycare monday morning. They still tried to charge me for two weeks for not giving notice. I am a single mother and do not have a lot of money. I only had enough for one daycare but i felt i made the best decision for my child. I never recieved anything in the mail but i later moved to chandler. Now this week i foind out they are garnishing my wadges almost 300 a pay check to reach $800.

We currently have a child enrolled here. They charge for days they are closed. They also refused to take our child for being 20 minutes late. Yet they still charge us for the day! We have had multiple issues with Dr. appointments and late drop offs.The staff is friendly, but the business structure needs work.

Very unprofessional!!!!! They took my application and all my personal information then never called me back. I followed up two weeks later (4th attempt) and then was told they selected someone else but they had my app on file. Then I asked for my app back they said they didnt think they have it there, it might be at home, thats how they do business... shady staff and shady place.

I was in the lobby waiting to tour. While waiting the teachers were literally screaming at the kids. Threatening to throw a way all the food and they wont eat NOT a place my child will attend.
