Aikido practice at Emerald City Aikido (ECA), even in this time of remote training, has enabled me to engage my mind, body, and spirit in healthy and productive ways. This practice is meditative and physical; it is a beautiful art that allows me to connect with my body and my energy with the group of kind, compassionate, like-minded individuals at ECA. Aikido at ECA offers community, which is especially important in these times of separation. While we cannot physically connect with one another right now, we are able to gain a deeper understanding of our own bodies and to support and learn from one another in this pursuit. Aikido practice at ECA has remained a bright spot in my day; it is a much needed time to decompress and rechannel the negative energy that accumulates throughout the day in these difficult times.

A great place for beginners and experienced students. One of the most welcoming dojos I have ever visited.

This is a small and friendly dojo with a great atmosphere. Slightly on the informal side (which I loved), and the instruction is top-notch. Its great for people of all levels of aikido, including total beginners. I highly recommend this dojo.
