Morningside was a game changer for our family. Our daughter was 2 grade levels behind and on an IEP by the time she reached middle school so we moved her to Morningside. There, she built a solid foundation to address the challenges she was facing with Dyslexia. She is now a graduate of Morningside, attending public high school and getting solid grades. She is now on a more positive path and we are excited about her future.

It would not be exaggerating to say that Morningside Academy changed my daughters life. When she started in fourth grade, she was reading at a first grade level and was performing in all other subjects at about a second grade level. She completed five years at Morningside and it completely changed her view of herself. Instead of seeing herself as incapable of learning or stupid, she learned how to set goals, achieve them, track her own development, and advocate for her own learning needs. She went on to High School, and with continued support for her learning disabilities, achieved a 3.8 grade point average. She is now in her first year at Washington State University where she is receiving all As and Bs in her courses. Choosing Morningside Academy for my daughter was the best decision we could have made for her at a pivotal time in her life.

My daughter was still hardly able to read in 3rd grade. After she started Morningside, she quickly caught up and stared to love learning. Today she is doing so well and is looking forward to collage now.

Our experience for summer camp was good but when our son enrolled in school I found there electronic policy ridiculous. It wasn’t a good experience for us.

I highly recommend Morningside Academy. I cant even tell you how much of a difference this school made to my daughters academic life. After struggling on IEPs in public school for years, she made a decision-- herself--to attend Morningsides 4-week summer school in 2016...after two weeks in the summer program she asked if she could go there for real. She spent the next two years (8th/9th grades) making fantastic progress...she gained 4 levels of math (her most challenging subject) in 2 years at Morningside and she now also reads/writes above grade level (several grades above grade level)! For her, Morningside was life-changing. She reported that it was the first time that she felt cared about at school (which was sad considering she had been in the public school system since Kindergarten). Morningside teachers are confident, well-trained, and know how to push kids to work hard at their just-right level. Homework is minimal/none which also dramatically decreased family struggles on school-nights. The instructors taught organization skills and my daughter loved their Transactional Analysis class (and still uses strategies from it). She gained confidence and made some wonderful friends. The school felt like a community, or maybe more like a family, to us. It was hard for my daughter, and for all of us, to leave it behind upon graduation. She wouldve stayed if they had offered a high school program (she even says she wouldve stayed for college, too!). If you have a child who learns differently or needs to catch up in a subject or two, please look into this school...I truly cannot recommend them highly enough.
