It’s a great place for fencing. My daughter started with a summer camp and getting interested in fencing. The coaches are very nice and we’ll continue to learn from here. I’ll definitely refer this club if you or your kids like fencing.

Enrolled my teenage daughter, who loves this program. The instructors are great and personable (one of the reasons my daughter really likes it), the times work out well, and the classes are small - which allows for lots of practice and one-on-one time if needed. Younger kids are finishing up when we arrive, and it always looks like those kids are having a blast too. Michael is always quick to respond anytime we have questions about the program, scheduling, or equipment. I highly recommend Emerald City Fencing Club!

Emerald City Fencing Club has been amazing for my daughter! She started in the beginner series at age 10 and has loved it ever since. Michael is great as are the other coaches. The location is easy to access. Our family is so thankful for Emerald City Fencing Club and looking forward to seeing its growth over the next few years!

My kiddo has been attending fencing classes here for almost two years. Michael and Andrew provide excellent coaching and foster hard-working attitudes and good sportsmanship among their students. Students learn skills but also gain poise and confidence in these classes. Highly recommend for kids or adults looking for a new sport and/or a fun challenge.

I have 2 boys in this Club. Both Coach Michael and Coach Andrew are very responsible and professional. They are very nice and flexible for our schedule which makes us easy to handle conflicts sometime. Both boys love to be coached by Michael and Andrew. Thanks a lot!

I started fencing here a year ago and Im glad I did. I had never fenced before but Coach Michael was very patient and very good at going over things time and time again if needed. Our son has been going to ECFC since the club first opened a couple of years ago. Because of his time at ECFC he is evolving into a more proficient and dynamic fencer. It has been both satisfying and inspirational to witness the club grow into a professional and supportive environment in such a short time. Michael and his staff have done an excellent job of challenging my 15-year old to get in shape and hooked on foil fencing.

Ive had a lot of fun coming here and learning to fence. The coach here is patient, pays attention to people, and puts in the effort to be inclusive of a range of experience, age, size, etc. Another key ingredient is the people who show up here. As a shy person I sometimes have to push myself to leave my cave, but everyone Ive met here so far makes it easy to forget my shyness so I can learn to stab them better. Looking forward to what the future brings as this club grows!

This is a great club with some really friendly and great coaches.

You should spend your money here instead of at a movie theatre. Youll have way more fun, its way healthier for your body, and youll support a local business. Plus, theres no more cost for the 3D experience ;)

My son is in the youth summer camp offered by Emerald City Fencing club and hes loving it. The instructor works well with the kids and my son is excited to sign up for the regular youth program this fall. Registration was easy and the communication has been great. Definitely recommend!Update: My son has been attending classes at ECFC for a while now. The club has been great about dealing with COVID-19. The instructors are excellent and my son loves fencing! Fencing is a great sport for providing a boost to physical activity and confidence.

Coach Michael was exceptional good in explaining everything. I highly recommend this place if you are in to fencing.

I got a Groupon for four 1:1 fencing lessons and really enjoyed it! Coach Michael is super patient and helpful, working with me at my own pace and going over (repeatedly as needed, haha) techniques and form.

Michael, the owner and head coach at Emerald City Fencing Club, is an internationally accredited fencing coach and referee. His students have won national medals and fenced in the NCAA. And hes great with kids

Michael runs a good class and is obviously passionate about the sport of fencing. He’s built a great inclusive program for fencing in Seattle.
