Staff tries to constantly get involved in my life and is making my anxiety ten times worse due to their actions. Specifically the staff made this school awful for me. Some teachers were super cool but most were agitating.

Its an ok school. There are some good teachers but the majority of them are awful. In sixth grade my math teacher scared me so bad, he threw my binder across the room. In seventh grade I was failing most of my classes because the teachers didnt help me very much, and thought of my anxiety as an excuse in not wanting to participate. 8th grade is god so far. One of my teachers is way to immature and sarcastic though. He fits in with the rest of the seventh and eight graders. Not in a good way though.

I dont feel safe at this school, the music program is ok for band, but orchestra is terrible, la is ok, science is a laughing stock, eh is off topic, and math is good. They really need to use the money they get to actually clean the floors, and also to invest in better teachers. This school needs some serious TLC.

I think that Whitman Middle School is the worst school that I have ever been to. Coming from private schools I know what good education is and Whitman is the complete opposite of good education. I only went there for one year and was always uncomfortable and complaining about the small dingy spaces. I am not saying that all of the teachers were terrible some of them were very good teachers, and helped me actually learn something at that terrible school.Not to mention, about a quarter way through my school year my science teacher suddenly gets fired, but instead of telling us that, the school gave my class a letter saying that she was sick. But she wasnt she had gotten fired for keeping dead animals in her classrooms. So for about three months we had off and on substitutes for science and personally I was getting really bad grades because I had no idea what the heck was going on.If I were you I would never ever send your child to Whitman Middle School. It will do nothing but set them back a few years in life.

It was pretty great, i was talking about the street. Whitman itself is not the greatest expeience. If your getting bullied good luck cause half the teachers dont care. The teachers vary some are very nice others just like watching kids get upset. The music programs pretty decent. La is alright. LANGUAGE TEACHERS ARE NOT GREAT. I felt dumber whenever i exited the room. Math program is pretty good and teaches you a lot and ensures a good math education. Security is not the greatest, and i would not feel safe during a lockdown. Fire drills are too overused. The atmosphere makes you feel like you are in the local county prison. There are lots of cameras. When you walk in it feels like the building was made in the b.cs. The field is pretty good. There is no airconditioning. Everybody always misses in the kids bathrooms. Sports are pretty good. The blacktop looks like a magnitude 7 earthquake recently hit. Kids get tetnis from touching the fence. The luchroom is a riot that the staff can not control. Hall parents basically are only there to get kids in trouble who didnt do anything in the first place. The principal has told students to go to Robert Eagle Staff to recieve better education. 15% of the student body has either tried or regularly uses drugs.

Corrupt administration with no school spirit... Some good teachers, but overall a not so good experience.

I dont even want to give one star to this school but have to to even write this review - Whitman has to be one of the most horrible experiences for both my daughter and family. Lots of bullying, communication is poor, teachers do not give out any homework and the principal shows no presence in the school. If you can avoid ever attending this school, I would. My children are both moving to Robert Eagle Staff and Ive learned more about their new school in one summer than a whole year at Whitman.

If I could make a half star, I would. Or even a quarter star. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE. YOU WILL RUIN THEIR LIFE.

Good school and great teachers. Most kids just annoy me though.

6th grade was the worst thing to ever happen in mi entiar life, 7th grade pretty good so far

The school was ok for the small part but honestly Ive moved to shoreline because things were getting awful there, for example: The teachers werent that great but there was maybe two that I really liked the rest just annoyed me and one just acted like school was military drill training, got into A LOT of fights so dont know if your into that, but a side from that the teachers were pretty helpful in a few ways but I still wouldnt recommend going but thats just my opinion.

Music program is the best.

It is not a good experience and the stalls in the boys locker room has no door
