This pre-school is awesome! Everyone is very friendly and organized. Every parent is assigned a school job, works as a parent helper one day a week, and is encouraged to take part in their childs learning. The co-op is very helpful for newcomers to make parent friends and integrate into the community, with event involvement and monthly meetings.The preschool program is from 12:15pm-3:15pm, Tuesday - Thursday (Fridays are available for those going into K next year). There are other programs other than just preschool, which are infants, twos, and toddlers.

Weve really enjoyed our time at the Ballard Preschool Co-Op. Ive had two children attend the school and both have had wonderful experiences here. The teachers are amazing, and our family has also really enjoyed & benefited from the co-op structure. Theres a focus on parental education & support here which has been very beneficial. Its a wonderful community!

My 2 1/2 year old and I have both enjoyed participating in the Ballard Preschool co-op. He is making new friends and is learning a little more each time about how to play and share with others. I am learning how to be a better parent (through parent-ed sessions and talking to other parents) and am becoming a part of community (we were new to Seattle).

We decided to join the co-op when my daughter was 1, and are in the toddlers class this year. The experience we have had this year has far exceeded my expectations of how much we would get from joining a co-op preschool! We have found our village! As parents we get support from other parents, our daughters teacher and the parent ed instructor. If I have questions about parenting or specific issues we are encountering with our daughter there is always someone I can ask for advice and guidance. Being a part of this preschool I have learned so much about various aspects of parenting. For our daughter, she has made friends and and also has built relationships with the other parents in the class. She LOVES going to preschool every week! I honestly cant imagine not being a part of this preschool, and cant say enough good things about it!

Ballard Preschool Co-op is a fantastic program! The teachers are excellent with the kids and really focus on building their emotional and social skills. Its a great way to build a community of life long friends!
