Teachers are very responsive and professional. I really like having an app to be able to communicate and see photos of my child throughout the day.

My son and I are very happy with KinderCare! The staff is great and my son is always so excited to go to daycare. I think their communication is great, Its nice how much they keep us parents updated through out the day using an app that they use. They helped me potty train my son and overall they have just been very helpful to us.

I can not say enough kind words about KinderCare South. My son has gone here since he was two and it was a great experience right from the start!!! The staff members are amazing!!! I had absolute piece of mind when I dropped my son off. My son graduated from the KinderCare Preschool program this August and walked into his first day of Kindergarten CONFIDENT and PREPARED thanks to this program. He was the FIRST one to find his name, have a seat and raise his hand to answer the first question of the day!!!

Im going to try to be detailed and fair here. I am not happy with my experience here and have pulled my child after a month in care here.My kid started at Kindercare during the pandemic- I am an essential worker and our other care was not available. The first day my son was enrolled, Kindercare closed for the week due to a COVID exposure. Fine, this is our new normal.Second week was fine.Third week, on Tuesday, my son was sent home for having a fever and excluded for the remainder of his week. Fine, I thought. A bit frustrating but I knew hed get sick more often in daycare.Fourth week, fine.Fifth week- my son shows up Monday. First temp taken at the door was 99. Second was 99. Third was 100. We get sent home which surprised me. So I called Kindercare Central to ask what their standard was for kids being sent home. The person on the phone didnt know and contacted the directornof this center The director of the center stated that King County specified that kids had a fever at 99.5. That sounded off to me so I checked on the health department website. She was either wrong or had lied- the standard is 100.4. She also told the person on the phone the first time my son was sent home it was for ear discharge as well as for a fever. But nowhere on the slip they sent home with my son was that documented. We took our kid to the doctor after he was sent home the fifth week. The doc said temps of 99 up to 100.4 are normal in kids my sons age and that my son had never had an ear infection. When I attempted to address my concerns with the director when I dropped my son off the day after he was sent home, she again told me the standard was 99.5- despite a literal sign in the lobby saying 100.4 was a fever. She was not very polite- she was clearly not happy I had caught this and seemed surprised I knew the health department standard. She also claimed she retook my childs temp the previous AM because he wiggled. I do not recall that.I dont know what to think, except I cant trust the.director. Shes either a bad communicator, confused, or lying. None are not comforting to me when I leave my child in care with her. I do wonder if my kid, who has a viable disability, was not wanted and we were being pushed out, but I have no proof and no way to know. I cant share any information about teachers as I never was able to meet anyone who worked directly with my child. I get that it is a pandemic, but I also feel like I might have had more trust for this center if I knew the people directly caring for my child.I acknowledge this is a stressful time for all of us. But this center has made me feel like I was in the wrong for asking questions and wanting to understand more about my childs care. They also seem to be misunderstanding health department guideance, or, they are not able to explain things clearly to parents. I feel safer having removed my child from this center.

This daycare is so great! The teachers are warm, caring, and have such a positive impact on our childrens growth, development and language immersion. The staff and students are diverse and there is a great sense of community. Curriculum is appropriate and parents stay informed. There are other daycares out there that have the latest technology of cameras in the classrooms or daily reports accessible through apps but I truly believe that nothing compares to the dedication and care that teachers have with the students/kids in classrooms. That is why we love this daycare. We recommend South Seattle Kindercare in a heartbeat to any expectant parents.

I have sent both of my babies to South Seattle kindercare starting at 6 weeks old. I have never worried about the level of care and compassion each and every teacher there has for the children they care for. The program director Terria is responsive and communicates immediately about any questions or concerns. Thank you south Seattle Kindercare!!

Weve been brining our boys here since they were 4 months old. I feel like theyve learned such great social skills by being exposed to other kids and adults. They learned sign language to communicate with us early on (age 1 yr to 18 months) as well as other classroom skills. The staff is caring and open to communicating and I make it a point to talk with the teachers to see how my child is doing and if there is anything they need from me. Overall, we have been very pleased with this center and its staff.

Our son is attending South Seattle Kindercare for over a year now and we are very happy. He comes home with so many art projects. Every month is dedicated to a different theme. If the weather is to cold or rainy to play on the playground just outside, the kids use the gym instead, to assure that excess energy gets burned off.The food is cooked on site and is rather tasty (we enjoyed a family thanksgiving meal - courtesy of the chef at Kindercare) and our son seems to be eating it all up every day (even his veggies). The only thing I noticed is that the kids seem to get moved around alot due to staff shortage or class size shortage (especially over the holidays), which isnt a huge, deal since all the teachers seem to know every child by name. They helped us with potty training and our little man loves his teacher. The director Tierra is so amazing and always has an open ear. She is very easy to get in contact with via phone or email and is very prompt with response and always friendly. My husband and I are so happy with this learning center for our son and hope to have him there for a long time!

My daughter has attended this KinderCare since she was 4 months old (she is almost 2 now) From the moment I brought her there on her first day they welcomed her like she was the most special little person. It has continued over the years. She has learned so much and loves going to school. One of her teachers even knitted her a hat! Terria the center Director is amazing. She is so smart and knowledgeable about best practice and she loves kids. Take a tour and you will understand! I have also benefitted from having my daughter attend there as teachers have taught me (as a first time Mom) when to start solid foods, advice about potty training etc. I have made connections and friendships with other parents and teachers also. I highly recommend South Seattle KinderCare.
