I love all teachers I used to go there but im going to sixth grade I would pick this school for every body

My brother went to school there and had the most wonderful teachers.

My children attended IHES until last year when we moved. We miss IHES so much, it is a wonderful school. All of the staff, particularly the administration, office ladies, etc were always so personable and kind. It has a wonderful small town vibe and we wish we still lived in that district. We miss you IHES!

Im a retired teacher from Fairfax County Public Schools. I taught 10 years in the first grade and 5 years as a School-based Technology Trainer, with responsibilities from ordering equipment, to inventorying all equipment (computers, printers,scanners, our 2 sets of 24 and 18 laptops in carts and their printers). I taught lab lessons for two years to every student in the school every other week. I developed all lessons with the classroom teachers, to support whatever topic they were studying, located websites and used them in my lessons we had a 20 student station lab. The teacher computer was hooked up to a projector and a Smart Board. I was also responsible for all staff training and when each teacher received a Dell laptop, I trained all of the staff how to use the Microsoft Office suite. During the summer each laptop had to be ghosted, or reimaged with all approved software during the summer. I was also in charge of the school website. I also ran a student webgroup which consisted of 20 students and 10 volunteers from our business partners Since retiring from that job, I have volunteered each year, both at my former school and at a school in Laurel, MD, too. So, prior to volunteering at IHES, Ive had lots of experience in schools.The office staff and teachers are so nice, and love to see children learn. It is an ideal place to work and learn. If I had a child, Id want them to attend IHES. In the two uyears, Ive volunteered at IHES, Im currently workin g in the second grade, but ive also been in their kindergarten. So, kudos to IHES. The principal and AP foster a great environment in which to work, and learn. I hope I can continue to volunteer there year after year. If I was still working, Id get on their sub list and spend some time subbing for their teachers.
