I am honestly so heartbroken to be here writing this, but I am growing increasingly disappointed in my child’s daycare experience here at KA. My child has been thriving at KA for over a year now, and recently transitioned into a new classroom. Before the transition, my child was almost entirely potty trained and having only one accident a day. He has regressed to the point where I’m close to pulling him out of KA and seeking a new facility. I do not feel his potty training has received the attention it needs due to the classroom focusing on the potty training of the older kids, which really speaks volumes to the quality of the potty training within the classroom. My child is continuously being sent home from school at the end of the day and not in accordance with their policy, but really at the discernment of the staff. With how costly this daycare is, it is expected the staff be trained and educated well enough to handle situations such as a child refusing the restroom or having accidents. I am missing out on so much work picking my child up and taking him to unnecessary doctors appointments just for the doctor to say he’s fine to return to school. Up until recently, the curriculum and teachers have been amazing. It’s really so disappointing that my child is just no longer thriving, and for the cost, the curriculum is just no longer worth it.

The facilities are absolutely incredible! It is unbelievably clean and it is a very pleasant environment for my children. The staff are amazing as well. They are very friendly and extremely good with kids. Before attending KA, my children used to cry before school. Now, every single day, they are excited and eager to go to school! An incredible school and the education is absolutely phenomenal.

My son started attending Kiddie Academy about a month ago, and I could not be happier at the experience he is receiving. At his previous school, they put no interest on helping or assisting us in potty training him, even though he was at school 8-9 hours a day, five days a week. We switched him over to Kiddie Academy, and in two and a half weeks, the amazing teachers had him fully potty trained. The staff is caring and wonderful, the teachers are kind and loving, and incredibly in tune to each of the kids in their class. I cant say enough positive things about this place. It has truly been a blessing. My three year old enjoys every second he spends there, and actually pushes me out the door each morning to get to school as soon as possible.

Our experience here was mixed as our time in Albuquerque was. I would say this is one of the best daycares in ABQ (hence 4 stars), but wasnt great compared to other metro areas we have lived in which are more family friendly where it would be 2-3 stars (better schools, daycares, etc you dont get in ABQ). The big problem here, huge turnover and young, unexperienced staff. Our child was enrolled for 2.5 years starting at birth, over which all staff turned over roughly twice (all classes). Only one staff from when we started was still there when we left (the entire center). We never had a 6 month stretch in a class with the same teachers. This led to lots of disruption in learning and discipline. However, our child was always safe there, they had good facilities, and they did teach the children good material. Our new daycare in our new metro area has significantly more experienced teachers, our child is doing very well in learning, and is excited to go every day, but again you are stuck with what you can get in ABQ if you are stuck there.

Hands down the best school in Albuquerque. I searched high and low. I’m so thankful for the staff and the curriculum. My 3 year old keeps up with 6 year olds. Don’t waste your time looking for a different school. Save your time and do your kid/kids a favor. Send them here.

I’m a first time mom and all i wanted for my little girl is to learn in a environment where she feels secure, safe, friendly, clean and with many different activities inside and outdoors. So, i chose Kiddie Academy after doing a tour in many other child care programs in Albuquerque. Even that i need to drive all the way from NW to NE we do it more than happy and very excited. I can feel my kiddo happiness whenever i drop her... even that she is a very spoil girl and she used to cry the first days of school like most children do. Now a days she looks all different she has a routine and i can feel she is more mature. That’s priceless for a mom ! Now a feel free to do all my daily activities because i know she is in a second home. Also as a teacher i can say that a clean environment is very important, all the toys and materials are new, they use innovative materials every day to explore and learn and the most important for me is how they use a integrated curriculum a little bit of everything... from the old school structure to the new school of exploration and discoveries. The staff is great, very gentle and open to help you.

Kiddie Academy is absolutely wonderful! The staff is very friendly, the owners are on site, security is good and they have cameras in each room including the playground so you can check on your kids anytime you’d like. My daughter loves coming to school here. Not to mention the splash pad in the summer! Highly recommend.

This review was left on yelp as well. As I feel very strongly about parents making an informed decision on where they send their child.I removed my child from Kiddie Academy and over one weekend we ran into someone who recognized us as they used to have an affiliation with Kiddie Academy. This person told us a story of how a teacher in the toddler class pushed a small toddler. She was fired. Great. However, Kiddie Academy has trouble keeping any staff for a long period of time, so they rehired the toddler pushing teacher. Only to have her pick a child up by one arm and slam them on the ground. Not being informed of any of these incidents I was shocked, sick and horrified. Was my child the child who was pushed? Was my child the child who was grabbed by one arm and slammed onto the floor? I will never know. Dont become me, the parent that doesnt know if you child was physically harmed by someone you believed would care for your child in their absence.

Our son has been in the infant room at Kiddie Academy starting at 12 weeks old. He has been very well cared for and loved on by all of the staff. He goes in happy every day and is picked up in the same condition, the team that cares for the infants is top notch and genuinely shows an interest in each babys well being.

This is the BEST daycare Ive seen in Albuquerque! I even have trouble calling it a daycare because, as it says in its name, its more of a Learning Center! I am always kept up-to-date on my childs progress and development. When I went to view the center I was in awe the entire time! I get a detailed report sent to me everyday on what is taking place and it even includes a photo of my child in her daily activity. The teachers are awesome and I would recommend it to everyone looking for a quality Center for their child to go to during the day.

Excellent child care facility in New Mexico. We did not know much about what Life Essentials curriculum was until we started here. We like the approach to learning as well as how the teachers work with our son. Overall, this is an excellent facility with some wonderful teachers.

This is by far the best daycare/preschool in Albuquerque. The facilities are state of the art, with all the latest technology, and is brand new. Security is taken seriously, with touch screen check in that will not open the door until you are verified. The directors offices are right next to the entrances as well as cameras. The staff and teachers are the very best. Even the infants have a structured day, filled with hands on toys that serve various developmental objectives. We are provided daily reports and pictures of how our little 1 year old is doing. Not to mention, they have a camera in each class that we can remotely view and see how he is doing anytime of the day. Lastly, the play area outside is simply amazing...they are even adding a splash park. I cant say enough about this place!

During the Covid outbreak, Kiddie Academy (KA) supported essential workers. Understanding the risk, they were at the forefront of implementing the appropriate safety measures that allowed them to protect their staff and the kids. This type of support and safety gave us the confidence that our child was in good hands. The KA administration has been exceptional. They send out timely announcements helping us to keep up to date with upcoming events, changes, updates, etc. The KA staff has been great at sending multiple daily updates about our child, including pictures of their daily activities and a daily summary at the end. Staying up to date with our childs day has allowed us to track what theyre learning and the progress theyre making. Weve experienced UNM and a Montessori School, and were confident that KA is one of the premier institutions in Albuquerque. Keep up the great work KA!

Im more than satisfied with my childs school. Everyone greets me when I walk in and I know the communication is always open between administration and the teaches. My son comes home talking about the things he has learned so I can see the curriculum is implemented. I couldnt have picked a better location for my family.

We are so grateful we found the kiddie academy for our 3yrs olds first school experience- the curriculum is outstanding - there are so many interesting ways they are taught - this coupled with the cleanliness/ amazing attention to fresh healthy meals with the on site kitchen, the remarkably flexible schedule and of course the ability to literally watch what your child is doing all day if you want to with the cameras - could not have found a better place - it will be hard to match when she does have to move to the next level

We are so happy with our experiences at Kiddie Academy. Our daughter has only been there a few weeks and she is thriving! The staff are all excellent and so attentive to the kids. They value and encourage our daughter’s individuality and independence. The enrollment forms are very detailed, but now I can see why. They truly strive to know and understand each individual child.I love that I can visually check in on her any time of day with the WatchMeGrow app. It puts a your mind at ease seeing your little one sitting in circle time with the other kids or exploring the classroom in their own way. They send pictures and updates throughout the day with goals and milestones that your child is meeting. It really shows how attentive they are to the children’s development. When I went to pick up my daughter last week she was playing with some toy figurines and I realized that they used various adaptive equipment like wheelchairs, walkers, walking sticks, etc. I love the diversity and inclusivity. Everything is so thoughtfully prepared. We couldn’t be happier!

Here are the reasons why I give them a 1 star:1. I found my toddler unattended in the enclosed area in the front of the school when I went to pick him up one day. I was able to pick him up over the fence and no one seemed to notice.2. A couple months later- my spouse went to go pick up our son and it took them 8 minutes to find him. He was in a room with his OT but the staff had no idea where he was for 8 minutes.3. There is a very high turnover in staff and teachers and it makes it extremely hard for parents and kids to transition4. The daily reports I get are completely in consistent, sometimes they have a lot of information- like meals, naps, diaper changes - other times I get when he was there and when he was picked up- with zero other information.5. When we decided to leave - I offered to discuss these issues and why we were leaving and not one person ever took us up on the offer. I feel we were just a paycheck.

My boy has been going her for a few weeks and I am very impressed by Kiddie Academy (KA), I do have one minor complaint but it’s so little, this is the only mention I will make about it. These are the three things I would like to share with others. The first thing I noticed was the way my son acts about going to school, he is excited and ready to tear into some learning, when he wakes up he asks me “am I going to school today?” then he pops up and starts getting ready. It was not like that at his previous school, it was often difficult to get him out of bed and motivated. The second thing I noticed is that when I go to pick him up he starts chattering. All the way home he is telling me little stories about his day and the activities he participated in. He sounds so excited; I’m excited for him. Every day he proudly brings me and shows some little piece of art. And that art gets put on the refrigerator and displayed with love every day. Daddy and Bonus-Mommy love seeing all his new bits of art.Lastly, the boy sleeps well. KA must keep those kids so active and so enthralled that by the time I get him home, have some family time and put some food in his belly, he is ready to relax and go to sleep. That is really nice for me.Play hard, learn hard and sleep hard :)Ryan

We started here about 3 months ago in the 2 year old program. It took sometime for my daughter to get used to being in a school as we have had her at home. We are very happy with the teachers who took the time with her and introduced her to a lot of learnings. Every morning, she wakes us and tell me mommy school .. lets go.

My family has been with Kiddie Academy since they first opened their doors. As an educator and mom I can tell you that I expect nothing less than the best for my children. Kiddie Academy offers everything we’ve looked for in child care services. Everyone you see from babies to adults are treated with courtesy and respect. For our children they’ve provided a safe, nurturing environment that also prepares them for the next milestone of their development. KA’s creativity is also unmatched by any other center. I truly appreciate the time and dedication each teacher places into her classroom. By age 3, my child is already learning to write his name, give oral presentations before his peers, count objects, and discuss science and nature with his teachers. Did I mention STEM is also a key component? I also appreciate the celebration of diversity at KA. The families are from various religious and cultural backgrounds. I call it the “United Nations” of child care centers! Lol Overall, I am very satisfied with my child’s placement at Kiddie Academy and I would highly recommend them to anyone.
