The staff was very curious. The haircuts I saw while I was there were pretty sharp. The students do a really great job. Save a buck go down and see them and if barbering is a career youre thinking of, this is the best school by. Best teacher and its fun!!!

I have to say I was a little nervous about getting my haircut by students but my hair came out exactly the way I wanted it. Andrew cut my hair and he did a fabulous job with the help and direction of his teachers!! Thank you all so much for a wonderful job!!

The students and the instructor Pierre are awsome. His students have never let me down. He teaches his students to cut longer so that there arent mistakes. He also teaches them how to deal with criticism through his interaction on the floor. In my opinion the worst cut I got from the barber college was better than my best cut from super cuts.

The Barber college has been my Barber since 1994. The students do a great job, and have excellent instructors ( Pierre). It started with Jake and now its Pierre. Great job 👏. 👍

Been coming here for 15 years and love this place. All work is performed by students so there is a learning curve. However, the head instructor Pierre truly cares about his students success and will intervene quickly if they make a mistake. This place is a total win-win because you get a good haircut at a reasonable price ($6.50) while helping future barbers learn their trade.

Teacher really disrespectful if he sees a student struggling he will not help he rather make fun of them have a nephew thats quitting because of his teacher. Wouldn’t recommend this place pick a different location

Service wes well done ..just took some time a little longer than my usual hair cut. was ok on my end. But glad the barbers got some hands on experience.

Dont know exactly what theyre teaching here but it aint hair cutting. Dude clearly had no idea what he was doing and nobody around to give him advise. Ended up with a sideways hair cut. Cant believe I paid for this mess.

Great staff owner is awesome but firm. I feel when u are an instructor you have to be tough it’s their license on the line no one else keep up the good work

Ive been coming here for almost 6 years and this place is amazing. What Pierre and his team are able to do with these students who come in with no knowledge and in a few months he turn them into pros is incredible. He gives them not only the tools to cut but also the ability to start their own business. Ive seen it year after year. Highly recommend to come for services and if you are wanting to get in business this the place for you.

Brad cutting hair was a master in his own right. Young and experienced. He cut my boyfriends hair like a pro. The owner/teacher was a bit rude to his students but all in all a great experience. Brad even lined up my boyfriends beard and he is looking fly..! Teachers/instructors are there to lead not talk down to students this was a bit unbecoming to hear. Lead by example not demeaning a student. Keep up the great work with the senior students, they always provide great customer service and utilize their knowledge to the best of their extent.

Outstanding service each and every time I go in. The owner is excellent at making sure the students get it right. Highly recommend. Have no idea why people are leaving negative reviews. I’ve always been treated well there. Perhaps the people writing negative reviews have personality disorders. Seems to be a lot of that in Albuquerque.

I have been coming here to get my haircut for the last 4 years, and the owner and his family are great. His mother always greets me when I enter, and the owner is very accomadating. This is the best place to get a haircut in Albuquerque for the price. The earlier reviews that talk about the owner and his family being rude are nonsense. This is a good small family business locally-owned business I strongly support.

BEST Barber College in New Mexico!!!! Been a student for about 2 1/2 months and I love it!!! I dont believe I would have advanced this much in such little time anywhere else but the Albuquerque Barber College!Its all about the dismount lol :)

Wouldn’t recommend, staff is rude and they don’t do a good job in hair cuts. Took two hours and it looked like they didn’t even cut the hair, when asked for a 5 down to a half they said they couldn’t do that.

Everybody is so rude!!! Came to get my little brother a haircut and the owners wife especially was super super rude to us!! Everybody here treated us like they were better than us and treated us like dirt, the only person that was nice to us was the lady at the front desk besides that I will never come back here!! Waiting to see how his haircut turns out!! It may be cheap but customer service is the most important thing!! They should have a course on how to treat the people that are helping pay there bills!!

Fantastic following covid guidelines

First of all I have been coming here for the last decade have never been so disrespected in my hole life!And second if you are that unaware that their is a survivor and his service dog in your place of business their is a problem the first thing you see before I even walk in the door is a big bright red service dog vest.............Only when I let them know I knew about ADA laws with survivor service animal then they started with the phone well we didnt know it was a service dog kinda hard to believe you own/run a business and cant spot a service dog hummmm!I will not be going have to Albuquerque barber college ever again.....

Ive been coming to Albuquerque barber college for years. I have never had a bad experience here. The students are eager to learn and always give me a good hair cut.The owner Pierre, can fix ANY student mistake. (Short of balding. Hahaha)Pierr is a strict owner, but Ive never seen him be unfair. Gloria runs the register and always with a smile.I bring my kids and grand kids here. Its a staple in the community. A real taste of New Mexico barbering culture. I recommend getting a hair cut here and cant understand why the rates are so low.

Love this place so much Ive been here for over 20 years some people think Im rude and bossy but when you have all the students and all the customers best interest at heart sometimes you have to make the hard decisions. Im here to make Barbers and look at our success rate were doing something right.

Actually I would have given 0 stars. The old woman at the front desk was rude. The owner /instructir treats his customers and students like trash. My son is in a wheel chair, the first time we went there the instructor said he couldnt help my son because he couldnt walk. But the young student helped him into the chair and did an amazing job. So we went back because the students are fantactic and the price is good. We asked for the same service this time. The teacher refused to allow the student to finish him up because he had dry skin on his face and head. My son got little upset with the instructor and he threw us out. My son had a really shitty unfinished cut. We had to take him someplace else to clean up the mess. Do they not believe in washing and putting cream on their clients? I will never recommend this place to any one. THE GUY IS A REAL JURK! NOT HANDICAP FRIENDLY!!!!

Walked in today with my 3 kids and huaband.....the woman at the desk was super rude!!!! Not welcoming at all😠 my husband and 1 son got great cuts from great students but my younger son got kicked out bbecuse he cried!!!!! Seriously the teacher is a DICK !!!! Didnt ask me to leave nicely got a big mean voice and told me to leave.WR ARE NEVER GOIMG BACK!!!!!!
