When considering options for you child do NOT consider this school. They have some great academic programs to offer. However, they are unorganized, do not follow through, fly by the seat of your pants, solely care about numbers not students. They seem to pick and choose what to follow up on based on what’s convenient for them. Administration fails to have strong leadership from the top to the bottom. Of all the great schools Charter has to offer, this is not one of them. Look elsewhere.

Our son is really loving this school! He is motivated by many great teachers to learn. He comes home happy and excited about his day! The teachers really care about him as a student and he is now testing way above the state in all subjects. Thank you!

This school is horrible. The teachers are racist. They kick students out of class just for their color. They get you into the school with a different and positive attitude than when you come to the school they are so different. They dont follow through with anything they say at the beginning of the year. You can tell the principal your problems and tell him who you dont want around your kids for child safety and he wont care. The registrar isnt qualified to do her job. She does not have a certificate in what she is doing. Picking this school for your kids is a bad mistake. They were supposed to be located in Corrales, but they did not even want them in their community. Being a dual enrollment school, they say you will get into college with your credits and when you get into the college you want, your credits dont work. I WOULD NOT CHOOSE THIS SCHOOL FOR YOUR KIDS.

This school is terrible, I did not read the reviews before putting my girls in that school. My daughter would cry every day when I dropped her off. I talked to the principal about this and he did not do one thing to fix it. I moved my daughter and the administrator did not even get her credits right. This school is terrible, the people in the front office are super rude. The math teacher doesnt know how to teach and the Spanish teacher just complains and roasts the students. They care more about dress code than the students education and only because the uniforms gives them money. Do not do this to your kids this school is bad for their mental health. This school is full of drama and terrible teachers. I just want to help

Weve been at CIS for seven years and both my kids love it. This is the kind of school all kids need.

This school is extremely unprepared. There is no organization, and the teachers are not qualified or are enthusiastic. My son went here and called it hell on earth. I went to an open house and I could here many of the kids were telling me not to send my child here. I would say almost all the teachers are rude and simply have no compassion. An example of this is the Spanish teacher for the MYP is just stupid. Here are some of his quotes your mom is a black, i dont mean to single anybody out for obesity such as (student name) and (student name),dont be sorry just be shutup. he is childish and unprofessional. The only good teacher this establishment is the history/social studies teachers. She know how to handle her students unlike the math teacher, the pltw teacher and the Spanish teacher. The Chinese program doesnt even have a real Chinese teacher.

Horrible school. Bullying, both physically and mentally. My daughter would cry when I would drop her off at school. Revolving door of teachers. Even corrales didnt want the school in their community. This school was the worst years of my daughters life.

It was a terrible school, lots of bullying and drama and truth be told they are not an IB school. The teachers were not qualified to teach the subjects they were teaching and the work was below a public highschool level
