My 8 month old daughter currently attends Albuquerque Nursery School. As any parent would, we read reviews. I read a review written by Veronica Rodriguez, and being that her baby and my baby were in the same class I would just like to shed some light... My child is usually one of the last babies to be picked up. When I come into the door in the afternoon, the first thing I see is a staff member cleaning. Its unfortunate that her child has gotten sick, but to blame it fully on a daycare not being clean is absurd. No matter how much a daycare cleans it will not stop ALL the germs. Getting sick is part of life! The real blame needs to be placed on the inconsiderate parents who continue to take their children to the daycare even when they know the child sick. The staff does everything in their power to control these types of situations. My child who was on oxygen the first few months of life and has several health problems has had no issues with getting RSV... Just to clarify even further I pop in several times a week unannounced to check on my daughter. Even when I go 3 times a day I am still greeted in a kind professional way. I have witnessed staff members giving different babies attention at different times, I have witnessed the cleaning that happens after one child finishes eating and before the other starts. (lunchtime visits). My daughter LOVES teacher Alma along with the others that work in her classroom. When reading reviews my advise is to keep in mind most people usually write them when they are angry. If anyone asks me about daycare, I am always proud to recommend Albuquerque Nursery School. I chose this place based on safety and cleanliness when I was looking for a daycare. We have had a good experience thus far.

I must say this is a great day care.Very clean, friendly and educational. I have bringing my kids her since they were very young, even my youngest since he was 6 wks old. I never felt so confident in leaving my brand new baby in the arms of someone other than my self. Ms. Alma is an amazing baby room teacher. She truly loves and cares for you child. My son was so attached to her, he would even come home asking for Ms. Alma. I would observe the rooms everything I would pick up or drop off or would just even pop in on my lunch break just to check on my baby and he would be happy and content. She is so attentive and caring to each child needs. The rooms are never chaotic, always calm and relaxing environment. I drive across town just to make sure my children come to a clean and safe day care and this place is definitely worth the everyday drive. I have recommended this place to a few of my coworkers and friends and they love it.

I am a mother of two and my youngest son started here at four months and he is now six months. Since my sons arrival at this daycare he has been hospitalized twice with Respiratory Syncytial Virus (R.S.V). The first time my son got sick, he was at the UNM hospital for a week and the second visit was for four days at the hospital. After the second time my son was sick I brought it to the director of the daycares attention in which her response was, well none of the other kids are sick. I then made a visit to the baby room and asked how often they cleaned and a teenage girl said every weekend and when I asked the director she said every night. I found the directors response to be a lie due to my kids usually being the last to be picked up and seeing myself that in fact the workers were locking up by the time I took my children to the car. I would never go back to this daycare. The director was unprofessional when handling this matter. Due to my findings and questioning towards the director it seems that she handled this matter wrong and needs to be re-trained when discussing issues with concerned parents an in the cleanliness of the daycare. My older son who is currently two years old was neglected and ostracized due to my initial complaint. This is to the concerned parents of Albuquerque, I would not recommend this daycare especially If you have to question your childs safety. If I could give a no star I would, this daycare needs to be inspected daily for the safety of the children.

As a first time mother having to put my 1 year old in daycare for the first time ever, I wanted to be reassured that I was leaving my son in a safe environment with capable people. Well, Albuquerque Nursery School is NOT the place for any child. My sons first day at daycare was not the best. He was sent home with an extrememly wet diaper which I complained about but nothing was done. His second day he cried so much he lost his voice and the staff didnt think it was important to sooth or calm him down. He also came home with a slight cough that day, which he more than likely caught from the other 2 babies who were sick and coughing. The third day was by far the worse day for him. I went to check on my son during my lunch break and kindly asked his teacher how he did that morning and if he ate lunch okay. She immediatly admitted that as a teacher with 9 other babies to watch she did not have the time to spoon feed my son and that she expects him to learn to do it on his own. This was the most inappropriate and unprofessional thing to say to any parent. It immediately brought into question the wellbeing of my son and how he was essentially being neglected for not knowing how to feed himself just yet. When I asked about his sleeping patterns, she also said that she doesnt feel the need to rock or sooth my son to sleep for his naps. This also made me think that children, especially the little ones arent getting the emotional support and positive connection that they need in order to thrive. I immediately pulled my son from this daycare and I dont intend on ever taking him back. This is not the place for any child and I wouldnt recommend it especially for all the new parents out there. The staff are very unprofessional and rude!!
