The workers were very nice i was very happy with them but mr. alex was quite intimidating and scared me a lotkumon didnt help me with anything at all but made me depressed

When I first brought my son to Alex. He evaluated my son and gave me feedback that my son doesn’t know even how to hold pencil. It makes him slow. He recommended me to get pencil grip. I was so sacred and disappointed. I went to the store and got pencil grip immediately which helped him lots to write first and solve problems quickly. He improved lots and doing good and enjoying as well as learning. Thank you Kumon and Alex for your all help. I appreciate it.

I started the Kumon program when I was six years old. I had completed the Reading program and just completed the Math program a few months ago as a Senior in high school. Because of Kumon, I have been very familiar with concepts at the beginning of any new math class. Kumon has helped me tremendously in school and I highly recommend it.

I have my two kids in the program for about 2 year now and they are doing very well , the staff is this center is awesome , Mr Alex is very supportive and good listener you can talk to him anytime if you having issues with kids because sometime they want to quit he will help. But persistence is the secret. if have know the program i have started my kids earlier. Very happy with the results.

My son has been with the Kumon program since he was in Kindergarten and he is now in the 9th grade. Kumon has helped him enormously in his math and reading skills. Both speed AND accuracy, two important skills in learning, are emphasized in Kumon. Alex and his staff are extremely helpful. He expects great things from his students and this should help them rise to the challenge and excel in their schoolwork. He has been very flexible dealing with our sons busy high school schedule.

This center has a great Junior Kumon program for pre school children starting to read. They get 1 on 2 tutoring with an instructor. Kumon has a unique teaching method... Its based on repetition that helps builds confidence for children as well as condition children on daily homework requirements. I believe this foundation is necessary for future education success. If you trust the method, itll work. I highly recommend this particular center because I see the results that my children have achieved.

Dont waste your time at this center. While the Kumon program itself is good but Alex (owner) is very rude and doesnt care if children are understanding or learning new concepts. They simply pass the worksheets as other reviewers have pointed as well. So there is no value in bringing your child to the center twice a week because no coaching is being provided by the staff. Despite providing feedback multiple times, no action was taken; instead Alex became defensive, rude and non-receptive to addressing the problem. We will look for another center or curriculum.

We have been bringing our kids to Kumon for 12 years. We started with Alex, then due to a move went to another Kumon in MD and then looked into another Kumon in yet another state due to another move. We moved back into the area 6 months ago and we signed back up with Alex within a week of moving back. We have 4 kids who have all done Kumon and our 2 youngest ones wanted to come back to Kumon and I quote Im tired of being with my class I want to be ahead again. When we left Alex and went to MD I was not happy with the lack of flexibility in scheduling. When we tried to connect with the other Kumon after MD it took them weeks to call me back and they only had very limited availability. When it was time to move back to Alex we all breathed a sigh of relief. Alex immediately (same day) contacted us back and we were set back up with the program. During the summer he worked a plan out with the kids to catch them back up and then scaled them back during the school year. I enjoy the repetitive drills of Kumon and have witnessed the patience of all of Alexs employees as they work to help our kids understand where they made any errors. Additionally, the caliber of his employees are top notch compared to the other Kumons I have visited. Overall I couldnt be happier with Alex and the highest praise might come from the fact that my youngest are teenagers and I dont have to fight with them to go to Kumon!!

Dedicated and thorough instructors. Kumon is an excellent program if the student does worksheets on a daily basis. You have to do the work to see results.

Kumon really helped me! When I was in 6th grade, my worst subject was math. Things changed after my parents enrolled me in Kumon of Franconia. I was able to calculate faster in school and began learning advanced algebra and geometry by the time I reached middle school. When I began middle school, I quickly realized that I already understood many of the topics in my math class because of Kumon. It felt really great to be able to solve math problems that most of my classmates were struggling with. Kumon really helped me realize my full potential. My younger sister is now following my footsteps and is enrolled in Kumon. I know that it will help her just as it helped me.

I dont think I have been so turned off by a place of business in my adult life as much as I was by my experience meeting with the director Alex. I dont know if he was having a bad day but I came for a scheduled orientation for my child and was met with a rude and smug attitude. The place was chaotic and the instructors that looked like high schoolers themselves kept interrupting our conversation to either ask or give him something. My child didnt even take the test to assess where she was. I would never recommend this particular location solely based on how we were treated by Alex. I will try another Kumon location.

Thank you for offering such a great learning program for the children. I will gladly recommend to all parents out there if your children can read and understand mathematics. They can get through all subjects.

I agree with Ms Pallavi. Alex is very defensive and rude. My 3rd grade son was doing 1 to 2 digit addition for 5 months!! they just hand out worksheet and expect to do it at home. No teaching in Class. They want the student memorize math. There is a 6 months contract... beware!!!

Have been a client the past 8 yrs with my kids and this has added great value to their education.They have been consistently performing better than their classmates thanks to Kumon.Alex and team have been very helpful and have guided my kids throughout the program.

Kumon really helped us in creating a routine to learn both math and reading on a daily basis with our 5 year old. The staff members have great patience and are very attentive when working with us. We are very pleased with the Franconia Center.

Do not go to this center. In short, they did not teach my son. They just give homework home and bring it back for them to check. Alex Vuong has no clue how to teach. You might check out other Kumon center. They might better. Dont waste your time and money.

Any kids Learn from Kumon are very good. They always give you a good lesson for your child. For me gives them 5 stars.

Its been almost a year since my 4 year old daughter started with Kumon for both math and reading programs. As a parent, the daily worksheets with 15-20 mins of seat work everyday are our best mother-daughter bonding activity. I get to know my childs progress, her weaknesses and her strengths. I find Kumons strategy for learning very effective and will surely prepare my child for the very competitive higher levels of education. Mr Alex V and his team are dedicated, hard working and very skilled with what they do. Every child has the capacity to learn but progress can vary depending on circumstances. Parental involvement and dedication is a requirement.

My son has been coming to Kumon of Franconia for six years. My son excels both in reading and math above grade level. Easily completing his school assignments. Thanks to Alex and his kind, supportive staff.

Both my children started Kumon with Alex in elementary school and continued through middle school. Kumon gave them the skills they needed to be successful at math, and let them work ahead of their grade so that they approached homework and standardized tests with confidence. Alex worked with us to set goals and create a schedule that worked for our busy family.

I have two kids who are currently going to Kumon. One (5th gr) has been coming here for three years and the other one (1st gr) has been coming here for one year. And we have seen improvements in math and reading for both. We love the program because it tailors to each individual childs needs.

My two children attended Kumon of Franconia for many years. I can attest that its method of introducing and teaching the concept of numbers at an early age helped them develop the love and passion for math. Gradeschool and Highschool math classes became a breeze that they were able to complete advace math courses with no problems. Both of them are actually gearing toward a career that involves mathematics in different ways. The reading program was a great tool for them to develop the love for books and understanding narratives. Fun fact: my son actually learned to read through Kumons reading program. The staff at Kumon of Franconia are very supportive and knowledgeable of what they do. They understand each students learning needs and styles and they go above and beyond to make sure goals and expectations are met. I highly recommend Kumon of Franconia and Kumon Math and Reading program.
