If you want your children to learn from an owner that has little value for their customer and preaches respect but gives none to its paying clients then this might be the place for you. This ATA is not about its values but about how much money they can dig out of your pocket. The Prices are inflated and they favor the higher paying students. If you have an issue and want to talk about it you will be talked down to as if you are wasting their time and be punished for asking questions to the management and owner staff. Find another place for your children this is not the place.

Instructors were great with my 5 year old. He came home excited the first couple of months because it was still new to him but when he realized he was doing the same thing over and over he eventually got bored of it.ATA is assembly line training. Rush 30 kids in for a 30 minute class. From those 30 minutes a lot of time is wasted rotating between stations. They will line the kids up one by one, calling each student by their name and showing them where to stand. Then they train them for a few minutes then shuffle them back up again. This continues through most of the class except at the end. The last 7 minutes of class time is used to tell parents that they need to shell out more money if they want their kid to advance or learn a new skill. Only half the class time is actual training.AND...If your child decides to quit out of boredom or if you move from the area the ATA gym requires that you pay for two additional months of service in case you child decides to come back. (You are also required to sign up for auto-draft when your child joins.)

Our family has been participating with Sustaires ATA for over 7 years now. The experience we have had with the Sustaire schools in Allen and McKinney has been excellent! The instructors are patient and attentive, while reinforcing the lessons of taekwondo and the discipline that mastering it requires.Weve had a very positive experience through our years as a customer. Highly recommended!

Forces kids to watch a full boring beginner class before being allowed to join class another day. Obviously not needing new clients.But some kids do much better with doing than watching. We left after ten minutes of watching when the lady told my kid that having his phone out doesnt count as watching the class so we will have to watch another class before joining. Found a place down the road for my kid to start tomorrow.

We have been going to Sustaire’s Karate for Kids since 2014, and I cannot say enough good things about it! The classes have been great for my sons, the instructors and owners are exceptional with the kids, very knowledgeable and truly care about your child. I highly recommend coming here!!

I started January 7,2012 I was super excited. The people here are super welcoming and nice. When I was a tiny tiger I loved my instructors. They have tought me so much and they make it super fun.

My daughter started taking Taekwondo at Sustaires ATA in McKinney in 3rd grade. She is now a freshman in high school and just recently earned her 3rd degree black belt. We love all of the instructors in McKinney and Allen. The Sustaires are wonderful and teach all the kids great leadership skills. We have had the best experience here and are glad we made the decision to have our daughter learn from them. She absolutely loves it and cant wait to instruct one day herself.

My son and I both joined and it has been a great experience. We have made lots of friends and are learning so much! There is a reason so many world champions come from Sustaires ATA.

Sustaires ATA is awesome! My kids started over two years ago and not only have they been taught the physical side of Taekwondo with learning self defense, they have also learned so much through the confidence they have gained. Every instructor is AWESOME and each class is such a great balance of learning self discipline, respect, and having a little fun. If you are looking for a martial arts school for your kids I could not recommend the Sustaires enough!

I cannot say enough good things about Sustaires ATA. The instructors are amazing. They really get to know each child on an individual basis and work hard with them to help them achieve their goals. My grandson will be testing for his black belt soon. The dicipline and respect he has leaned over the last 2 1/2 years is amazing. His school teachers and other parents comment on his manners.

Back in 2010 I finally relented to my oldest son saying he wanted to start taking marital arts classes. I asked several families and friends for recommendations. After visiting 5 places we decided to go with Sustaires and 9 years latter and extremely grateful we went that route.All three of our children are black belts there with my oldest having been a memeber of the two time Teen Combat Sparring World Championship team. One of my friends who joined after us thought based on the number of people walking around the Sustaires school with World Championship on the back of their jacket it wasnt a big deal and they just handed them out like candy. Then they went to a couple major tournaments and relaized how big of a deal it was and how lucky they were to be in a school that can and does groom World Champions.If you are looking for a marital school that focuses on developing the physical conditioning, mental discipline, maturity, and self-confidence you have found the perfect school.

My kid is on his 8yr at karate for kids and still loves it. The Sustaires and there staff are great instructors whit many world champion under there belts.

We have been with Sustaires ATA for over 6 years. I cant say enough about how much thsmey have done for all 3 of my kids. The respect, self discipline and confidence they have helped build in my kids is amazing.The biggest difference we have seen is with my oldest child who has mild Autism. We started karate to help with gross motor skill deficiencies and communication skills with both kids and adults. 6 years later, and many hours of training, he is in the leadership program, has competed in top 10 ten in the world for his age division and earned his level one Judge certification. I say this not to brag on him (even though I am one proud mom) but to show what a difference the Sustaires and their amazing staff have made in my childs life!I HIGHLY recommend, not just Taekwondo, but Sustaires ATA specifically for any child.
