I had a perfect experience on the Basic Riding course with Bart and Lois. They are great instructors and made everything very clear. The whole experience was very nice. Communication was great before the class and during the class. None of my time was wasted (I was really afraid of that). If you are interested in riding - take this class. Youre gonna have a blast!

These people are really cool! They are knowledgeable and make learning how to ride fun! Its a two day beginner course as opposed to the three day course offered by other places. I had never ridden before and feel 100% confident going out on my own. Highly recommended!

The MSF Basic Riders Course taught here was amazing. As someone who had never rode any kind of motorized bike, I found it extremely easy to learn. Don and Jeff, my instructors, were both fantastic coaches and explained everything thoroughly. I would come back in a heart beat or suggest to any of my friend and family to learn here.

The instructors are really great its a really nice course to learn how to ride. Youre better off going in there with little to no experience. But its a really awesome experience and they teach you some techniques you cant learn on your own. Highly recommend this place to anyone thats wanting to learn how to ride a bike or improve their skills.

What an awesome experience! Great facility and really experienced instructors!I took the basic rider course to learn how to ride a motorcycle, get a license waiver and decide if this is for me. This course was perfect for that. Plus they offer many other courses. Advanced courses, dirt bike courses, and more. Now, for those of you thinking about doing this... do it. If you were thinking about riding a motorcycle and someone told you that you don’t need a class, they’re wrong. Take the class. There’s a lot of eye-opening material in the class that just teaching yourself, or just messing around won’t provide. Now be prepared to take it seriously. they move a bit quickly and you are expected to keep up and learn the material and get some proficiency in the skills. They are friendly, and they encourage questions, but they have a schedule to keep and 11 other students besides you. So you need to dedicate your mind to the class for the 2 days that it takes.I went through alone and I loved it, made some new friends. but I recommend doing it with a friend too, if you want to. Either way. The place is easy to find, google maps may give you a slightly wrong path to get there, though. So be early, rested, and ready. You will love it.[edit 2/5/18]~ less than a month after graduating here, I purchased a my first motorcycle from the nearby mountain Motorsports, a 2015 Yamaha R3. I’m riding 2-3 days a week with much greater confidence thanks to the trainers here at the Honda rider education center.

I didnt enjoy the basic rider course as much as I thought I would for a few reasons. The instructors were ok not as friendly, approachable or as supportive as I would have liked. They were fine, they did the bare minimum nothing more nothing less.Joy and Terry is who I worked with. The style of teaching was not my favorite; however it may work well for others. They have you read paragraphs from the book and then summarize what you read out loud in class. This is a good technique for retention but it cant be the only and exclusive way to teach. You have to use a few different techniques so that all learning styles and personalities benefit.Out in the range was fun and I did love how they started off slow. Making sure every one mounted and dismounted the bike, turned it on a few times etc... It helps build muscle memory so that was great; however, once we got through the first part, I felt there was a disconnect with how to use the clutch and throttle smoothly. They never went over some of the details that a beginner wouldnt know. I feel they dropped the ball there. A good number of students in the basic class had riding experience and I did not so I think they just assumed all students would figure it out the clutch and throttle thing on their own or that you need to accelerate in order for the bike to ground itself. Which I did not! It took much longer than it needed to which was frustrating. When I asked, I didnt feel as if they wanted to break it down. At that point, I felt the instructors were not that approachable. It was extremely hot outside so if you guys do this, be prepared wear the right clothing! I was exhausted, sore and was very uncomfortable due to the clothing I wore. I think they should add a note on their website about weather and about what they recommend you should wear so that you are as comfortable as you can out there. Weather of course was not their fault! :)I think that if the instructors are a little more sensitive to pure beginners and their teaching style is a little more varied, it will be a great course. I am a positive person so I made this as much fun as I could and I never gave up! When you get out there, dont apologize for your level of skill! You are smart so you will pick everything up. You just have to be patient and safe!

My 11 year old who had never even sat on a bike attended the dirt bike beginners one day course in October. Coach Keith was great working with the kids. Within an hour Donovan was up going. We then attended the two day course in December with Coach April and Coach Geof. Awesome the amount of personal skill and knowledge they brought to the kids. We will be back in 2018 for another trail course. Much thanks to you all for the confidence you gave to my son.Barry Stroup

Me and my wife took the MSF basic rider course this weekend. We both had some dirt bike experience but it had been many years since either of of us had been on a motorcycle. We learned so much in a short period of time. Most of the people in the class had very little experience on motorcycles with many not even sitting on one before the class. The rider coaches Peter and Carl worked hard and spent time coaching everyone as individuals and made the class challenging and fun. I can’t say enough good things about the instructors and facilities.

I had about 8 years of experience with riding motorcycles but I learned a lot of good stuff here. The course is more hands on and you get to practice with the bikes they provide with a lot of challenges. I learned how to control my bike presicely. Instructors where very patient and also knowledgeable. I recommend this place to anyone trying to get their license or refresh their riding skills.

The class was cancelled less than 24 hours prior because, I was told, it was not financially viable. At this time, I had already spent hours completing the mandatory online component. I was told by phone that cancellations are common, and if I rescheduled it may happen again, and if its not very soon, I’ll have to retake the several hour online class.

My class was scheduled for May 8 & 9 at 6:45 AM. Due to personal issues - I was late to this class.*Granted the emails did say not to be late*Paid $235 for this and now I have to pay another $235 of my hard-earned dollars to take this again. One of the course coordinators: Austin is so unforgiving and unyielding...There’s so many MSF courses out there guys - don’t go to this one please (:

Was there in the mid of Nov 2015. 2 full days of the course. Nice teachers (Peter and John) which briefly described main technics before send class to the range.Good thing is that therere a lot of practice which give you ability to know how to ride. As didnt have such experience in the past it was really helpful for me.Bad thing that therere not so many of practice advances for safety riding as they can give having such a big experience in this. Anyway, having this this basic riding course you will know how to ride and what to do with the bike, but be sure you practice a lot after that when deciding to go to the streets on your bike.
