Awesome place and the best instruction possible!!!

What a treat to train under Master Murgel, one of the few red belts in the world. The school is clean and there are a variety of accessories used to mix up the training and teach self defence and other specialties. Classes are small enough that you get plenty of one on one training and the workout is second to none.

Been going here for coming up on a year, and its great. Tons of info to take in, and even though I travel a lot I never have a problem jumping back in. Highly recommended!

Great place to train. Dropped in for a class while in the area on business and couldn’t have asked for more. The entire team was courteous and welcoming. Master Murgel was very attentive and dissected every drill down to the details.

I received my blue belt from Master Ricardo Murgel a long time ago when I was 16. He is the real deal: tough as nails and an absolutely great instructor of the Art of Jiu-Jitsu. Hes one of the OGs of the Art and has a wealth of knowledge that is unparalleled. 🤙🏽

Only a handful of 8th degree black belts in the world and we have one right in our backyard! The quality of the training at Union BJJ is second to none and the teammates are all very supportive no matter your rank. Highly recommend!

This is a fantastic spot for BJJ and self-defense.Great instruction, and a fun, supportive group to train with.The room is amazing and the practice times are great for a variety of schedules.

I came in as a visitor to Union BJJ and felt extremely welcomed by Master Murgel and his staff. The training was excellent! Visiting a school can sometimes make you feel very out of place but I didnt feel that here. If Master Murgel saw something I could improve on he gently and quietly corrected and instructed. I also watched the kids program and was very impressed by the quality of instruction they were receiving. I would not hesitate to recommend this school to anybody living in and around the area.

Can be saying a lot of words but have a chance to train with eight degree black belt BJJ, and black belt Judo for JJ it is all word killer, I am training with Mr. Murgel about 4 year I am very lucky to have a chance been park off his team, did start when I was blue belt now i am brown belt, i do really enjoying every minute off training with Mr. Murgel.. come and check it out..

5 Stars!! While on a business trip to Alpharetta, GA I had the pleasure and honor to train with Master Murgel and his team. I had an experience in a way that I can only explain as incredible. Master Murgel broke down each move with multiple variations in a way that was easy to understand and carry out for even a white belt as myself. His team is full of hard charging individuals who are not going to let you slack but at the same time respect your limits. If you are in the Alpharetta area or have the chance to learn from Master Murgel in a seminar I highly recommend to seek him out. You will not regret it. Thank you Master Murgel for allowing me to train with you and your team and I hope I get to visit again.

I have started here 1 month ago and I couldnt be happier and blessed to have encountered a master that is linked and lived by this martial art since its beginning and learned from the original masters and has international recognition through the jiujitsu world 🗺.Im here to stay now.

Ricardo Murgel is one of the greatest living experts on Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in the world. Atlanta is lucky to be the home of such a world famous master.

If you want to learn real jiu-jitsu, this is the place to be! Great facilities, instructors, and teammates! The only regret youll have is not starting sooner. :)

I have trained with Master Ricardo Murgel in the past and I was very happy to hear of the opening of his school in Alpharetta. I enrolled as soon as I could and also enrolled my 10 year old son.Jiu jitsu has been a great way to get in shape, to train my body and mind, but what I have enjoyed the most of all is to learn from Master Murgel, an 8th degree red and white belt. Master teaches jiu jitsu in a way that is welcoming to all, from a beginner to advanced. As a woman, I was interested in also learning self defense for myself and my son. Its been helpful to know what to do in real life situations, which is also taught in class.I would recommend Union Team BJJ for anyone who is interested in learning from a teacher who is one of the very best in the world of jiu jitsu. We are so lucky to have him here in Alpharetta!
