Huge Blessing to My Family! The team at Oak Grove Academy have been a HUGE blessing to my family. Miss Linda taught my 4 year old to read. The 2s teachers potty trained my 2 year old within like a month of enrollment, and the school is filled with such caring and special people like Miss Allyson, Mr. David, Miss Sandra, Miss Kathy, Miss Ray & Miss B., Miss Annie, Miss Melissa &a Miss Jennifer, and More! They arent perfect, but no school is. But they are all-stars at loving my children, and that is the most important thing I can ask for. They have been understanding when my life has been crazy, and they are happy to hug me when Mommy has a bad day too. Its so reassuring when they call over little scraped knees because I know they are looking after my childrens safety and will always be forthright with me. This is really a rare gem full of special, loving people. They pour love and all their hearts into creating a safe, loving, enriching environment for my children, and to us, they have made an eternal impact on my children! (They also try so hard to do fun special events like back to school family parties, amazing field trips and more.) Thank you Oak Grove πŸ’•

Our 3 children have been loved and nurtured by the entire staff at Oak Grove for over 5 years. Our oldest son graduated from pre-k 4 and ENTERED kindergarten reading at a second grade level, thanks to Mrs. Linda. The director, Allyson, is a true asset to the school. She is so warm and friendly, and I feel like I am leaving my children with a family member! This is a wonderful school.

We started attending Oak Grove when our daughter was just over a year old and stayed until she was about 2.5 years old. We were overall content with the school for about a year, but they started having a lot of teacher turnover (which also coincided with a price increase in tuition). It got so bad that I would not know the teacher that my daughter was having from day to day, and I never knew which big combined classroom they would be using to try to cover for teacher absences. I was understanding for a few months, but asked to receive some communication around the efforts to improve the teaching situation, as well as some indication so that I would know who was watching my daughter throughout the day. It got to the point that my daughter cried every day not wanting to go to school, and I had a hard time prepping her for the day when I didnt know any details myself. One day, I picked her up and she was wearing another childs panties and pants, even though I had dropped off a change of clothes for her. The teachers were so inconsistent that they couldnt keep up with who was where. To make matters worse, all of our requests for communication were left completely unanswered. We sent a final notification that we were leaving and explained our grievances. None of our concerns were met with a response. We felt completely disrespected and did not feel comfortable for our daughter to attend a school with such an absence of concern. We have since switched schools and we are shocked at the level of communication that is a standard at the other schools. I never knew that I was supposed to be receiving DAILY updates! And we also found that tuition at the surrounding schools is actually less than that at Oak Grove, even though Oak Grove provided extremely sub-quality service. The only reason that they are getting two stars is because we did have a few teachers who genuinely loved our daughter and tried their best given their environment.

Could not ask for a better daycare center! We had our daughter in a corporate run daycare facility for about 5 weeks when we made the change to Oak Grove. What a difference! Our 17 month old daughter is so happy to see her teacher, she runs to her every morning. When we pick her up she is having a great time, each and every single time. The teachers are more like trusted friends, rather than employees. They truly care about each child. The curriculum is fantastic. The turnover is non-existent. (at our first daycare our daughter had 3 different teachers in 5 weeks) The owners take care of their employees and their customers....and it shows from the moment you step inside the door. WE LOVE OAK GROVE!

I have been bringing my kids here for 6 years and the teachers and staff are awesome! My children learn so much, enjoy the environment, and are growing tremendously (education, social, confidence). I would definitely recommend you checking Oak Grove Academy out if you have young kids and need a quality day-care option (or even an after-school option for slightly older kids as my 6-year old goes from time to time).

We stopped by today to say hello to these great folks. Our son attended Oak Grove Academy from 6 weeks all the way through the after school program for elementary school. The same smiling faces met us at the door and the place still looks clean, fresh and updated. We highly recommend Oak Grove Academy if your looking for quality, Loving Child Care and After School.

Our son has been attending Oak Grove Academy for 2 years and we couldn’t be happier about his development over that period of time. The entire staff really cares about each student and our son can’t wait to get into class and see what activities are in store for him and his classmates each day. We wouldn’t consider sending our son anywhere else.

My son has been attending OGA for over two years now. He started when he was 10 months old and is now 3. We love OGA! The curriculum is tailored to each age group and both challenges advanced kids as well as ensures nobody is left behind. Though there have been challenges with teacher retention and turnover a few months as some reviews suggest, it is not a huge school, so I would assume it is not easy to deal with multiple personnel changes at the same time. All the teachers we have met and have taken care of my son through the years were caring and genuinely interested to do their best to make each childs day educational and fun! The owner, staff, and teachers are all exceptionally good with children, and it shows! The kids love them - and so does my family! PS: Nobody asked me for a review in any way, I just wanted to share our experience.

Not enough words to describe how wonderful this place is. I happened to drive by this place, after visiting 13 other area schools for by baby. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by wonderful people. It was the only place where I walked out and said, This place is perfect. The owner is such a wonderful man, who keeps an open and creative environment for his teachers and students. The director makes me feel like my little girl is an extension of her own family....always helping out with whatever we need. I read a previous review talking about behavior. Well my child was having a biting issue, and I met with the director to discuss the issue. We worked through it together, as a team, and within a week all the problems were resolved. My daughter stopped biting REAL quick. I have had nothing but amazing experiences here. They are so involved in the children, teaching them from just infants, to keep them ahead of any milestone a doctor thinks they should meet. My daughter was speaking with sentences at 16 months. This is such a wonderful environment for children. I have turned down job opportunities because I would have had to remove my daughter from this amazing place. I am going to find a way to stay in this area, until shes too old to attend. I could not recommend this place any more. If you dont know where to place your child while you work, choose Oak Grove. We are one big happy family, and you will get to watch amazing growth for your child, intellectually and socially. Come on over to the Oak Grove family.

I absolutely, 100%, recommend Oak Grove Academy to all parents looking for a loving environment for their children to grow and flourish. We stared our son there at 3 months and he is now 2. We are amazed at how much he has learned and the friends he’s made. We have loved all of our teachers and the staff there is so friendly and attentive to specific needs (I thought about giving specific shout outs, but it would be a long list.)Mommas with infants, I know it’s hard to think about leaving your LO in someone else’s hands. The nursery there is excellent and they keep the ratios low so your LO gets the attention they need. We just started our second child there as well and she loves it and her teachers. We feel like family at Oak Grove because we are.

My husband and I have been taking our kids to Oak Grove Academy for the last 5 years and are very happy that we discovered this little gem tucked away in Alpharetta. The teachers truly care for our kids (most have a strong bond with them and our kids are fiercely loyal in return) and are focused on teaching and educating them. I am constantly amazed at what my kids are doing and learning (way ahead of their stay-at-home counterparts). They make learning fun and my kids are always excited to show me what they learned. As we start looking at Kindergarten for our daughter we are confident that she has the knowledge and confidence to truly excel next year. I would hands-down recommend Oak Grove Academy to any parent that is looking to give their children a head start in life.

Its hard to put into words just how much my family loves OGA. My son started here one year ago (my daughter starts next week) after we had terrible experiences at two other facilities. After enrolling in OGA, it was clear that it offers so much more than childcare - its a school. My sons vocabulary and language skills have grown exponentially, and his teachers foster his boundless energy and curiosity with a challenging and exciting curriculum. Not to mention, from the directors to the teachers and everyone there .... it truly is a family. They sincerely love my children, and care about their safety, well-being and education.

Words cannot express how great this child care center is. My son has been attending the school since he was 10 months old and he is now in the PreK3 Program. Oak Grove Academy really makes you feel like family. Every teacher knows my sons name and we are always greeted with a smile. You really have to visit the school to understand what makes this school so different from other child care centers. Not only is my son advancing far and beyond in terms of developmental skills, he is happy. He has lots of friends and looks forward to going to school every single day. I do not worry about him when I am at work because I know he is in a safe place and that he is thriving. OGA really is a special place!

Were new to the OGA family (our boy started in senior toddler room), and hes currently a junior preschool child. Were amazed how quickly he was potty trained (it was rough at first, but OGA is underwear only, NO pullups, and even have a clean change of clothes should you need them!). Hes also got a grip on the days of the week, months, letters, etc (hes still only two and half!). Miss Hailey does a great job with all the kiddos, and her patience and attention to detail are second to none (her daily notes are copious!).The only thing we can complain about is that the playgrounds are of real grass (still, we think the odd grass strain is far superior to artificial turf carpet burns!).

My daughter wen to Pre-K at Oak Grove and we both loved it there. She was very well prepared for Kindergarten and reading much above her grade level as the teachers and school made sure they worked with all the students daily getting them to their highest level. I would recommend anyone to Oak Grove for Preschool, Pre-k, and afterschool care as we love all the staff and teachers.

Oak Grove Academy is like our second family! We toured several daycare/preschool centers when I was expecting our first child. The moment we walked in the doors of OGA, it had that warm feeling of home and I knew we had found our school. My daughter enrolled at 10 weeks old and is now in the Pre-K program. My son enrolled at 8 weeks and just moved into the Sr Toddler program. We have loved every single classroom and every single teacher in our four years at OGA. It is hard being a working parent and leaving your child in the care of someone else. But I know that the teachers at Oak Grove teach and love my children as their own!

After having my first child, the hardest thing to do was send him to a daycare. With no family in town, I needed to be sure that my son was going to be in a trustworthy, loving, and caring family atmosphere. In our search for a daycare, we visited many and I would always compare them all to our first visit at Oak Grove Academy. There is no place like Oak Grove! From the minute you walk through the secured doors, you hear the laughter of all of the children and get to walk by many classrooms of smiling faces. The staff was very accommodating and strategic with our tour in that we knew the ins and outs of the manner in which it is ran. The teachers have been so welcoming: taking pictures and making sure you have a copy, loving the kids in their times of needs or just out of pure love, and even helping me with suggestions as a first time mom.We have successfully made it through and are now a part of Ms. Lindas amazing pre-k class in which we could not be more proud. Throughout my sons time at Oak Grove there has been so many teachers that have made a true impact on his knowledge and character.I truly cant say enough about Oak Grove Academy and the staff. My words are simply THANK YOU!

The positive reviews you are seeing are due to a school raffle for 2 weeks of free tuition, which required a positive google review. Thats why they are all in the same time frame.....School took a downturn in the last 12 months. We were very happy when my kids started here in Feb, 2016 and since then there has been a revolving door on teachers, including some state and police reported incidents from the pre-school classroom (2-3 year olds). Under new ownership initially, there were many promises of improvements and sibling discount addition, but after a year all we have seen were small improvements to the menu and painted walls in the classrooms. Having toured other schools in the area and switched my kids, I no longer see OGA as a competitive top school. They are definitely going through a change.

I spoke with the director about enrolling my three year old son and explicitly explained to her and the teacher the defiant behaviors (hitting, running, etc) that he started just before he turned three. They both explained that they were trained in behavior modification and would work with him and our family. My husband and I enrolled my son just to have the director call me at noon two days later stating that our son was no longer welcomed at the school. The only time they called us to discuss his behavior was when he was being expelled. When I spoke to the director, she stated that maybe I should have him evaluated. Two days later, we enrolled him at another area day care center that was able to work with him to stop the behaviors (which only took a week). I cannot recommend this center for those parents who have active children. If your child is not active and displays none of the terrible two or terrible three behaviors, this is the center for you.

My son was in Oak Grove (OGA) for approximately 18 months, then this past summer we decided (for personal reasons alone, nothing to do with OGA) to move our boy to a different place. The difference of OGA and place #2 is apples and oranges. Night and day. Yang and yin.Ever since my son has moved to the other place, I have been asking, What did you learn today at school? And since that time...crickets. He draws a complete blank. What he is learning at his current school are the things OGA has covered for the past year and change. An example...my son is 3 and a half. His current school focuses on the letter of the week, numbers 1-10 and fine motor skills. He was doing that in the 2s class at OGA, and has mastered the first two of those for a year now. I just learned that OGA will be focusing, in the 3s class, on more reading/writing/etc., things which my sons current school (and most others from my wifes research) wont focus on until next year.Needless to say, OGA has earned my trust, and will earn my money again soon.
