Having three children, two who are now in high school, we have tried all available childcare options over the years (from au pairs, family day care, nannies, etc.). I can say from experience that The Goddard School is truly best in class. Ms. Jenna and the team go above and beyond in every way. The level of communication and transparency and request for parent feedback is tremendous. My daughter is leaving to go to kindergarten, and I am so happy that she is prepared based on her teachers at Goddard, and that we got to be part of the Goddard family for the past three years since moving to GA. I fully and without any hesitation recommend The Goddard School.

Both my daughters attend this school. My youngest is in preschool, and loves every day! He favorite part is her Spanish class every Tuesday morning, and Thursday Afternoon! My oldest attends summer camp and camp days during the school year! She talks about it every day asking when can she go back! I’ve tried many different preschools for my daughters, but this one is like our second family. They wouldn’t want to go anywhere else. It is by far the best school.

As the Director of Goddard Windward since early 2014 and the new owner of Goddard as of 2017, I have seen so much change and growth in our school. As a new parent in September of 2015 and spending over 15 years in the in early childcare, there are absolutely no infant teachers more kind, warm and helpful than those at Goddard. Ms. Joyces classroom is filled with bright colors and infant art work, photos of the students laughing, reading, singing, signing and more. Transitioning into our First Steps classroom, my daughter transitioned from baby to toddler with gentle guidance, patience and so many open-ended questions to encourage her development. She is currently in our Toddler classroom with Ms. Tecoya and Ms. Ana. Here, her vocabulary has grown exponentially. She is dancing, singing, working on her socialization skills with her friends and even beginning STEAM activities - from building with unique materials to exploring paint and mixing baking soda and vinegar to see the reaction. Everyday is an exciting day at Goddard!I am so lucky to be at this facility and have my daughter be loved and encouraged everyday.

Both of our children attend the Goddard school on Windward and we love it. Starting in the infant classroom they’re learning wonderful curriculum created by the teachers themselves. From the management staff to the teachers we have encountered, my children feel loved and secure and I know we made the right decision sending our children here.

Goddard Windward feels like family to us. The environment is warm and nurturing. The teachers and directors genuinely care about my child’s well being and happiness. Communication is great. Safety was important to us. They are very strong in the curriculum department , my 2.5 year old shows me yoga poses, sign language, sings in Spanish, tells me about gym class and shapes and colors. They are also teaching her hygiene, manners, and to be a good friend. They are always doing cute little events like Halloween trunk or treat, spring fling, fairytaloe ball, etc to engage the kids. They offer healthy food and have little dress up days that always get her excited about learning. The directors are all passionate about what they do and have found their true calling. We can tell the teachers put thought in their curriculum and don’t just “babysit”. We like that the owner and directors all started as teachers and like that they recognize their teachers in the monthly newsletter. We also like that the owner, directors and many of the teachers kids are enrolled here too. Most importantly my child is happy when I pick her up. With two working parents it takes a village to raise a child today, especially to raise them right . We are grateful for Goddard

We tried a different after-school program and it was not the same; we returned to Goddard, knowing we were where we were supposed to be. Love the front staff - super kind and helpful. Thank you Goddard for being such a great place for our babies!

Our favorite thing about the Goddard School at Windward is the family environment. You walk in the front door and immediately feel at home. The leadership team is full of energy, experienced and maintains an open door policy. Our daughter Emma has been in the infant classroom since she was 12 months old. Our experience has truly been incredible. The teachers are positive role models, passionate, caring, experts in childcare and development, personable, organized, affectionate, creative.... the list goes on and on! These teachers are truly making a difference in Emmas life. Being working parents, we know Emma is in great hands everyday. They send us pictures throughout the day so we dont miss out while at work. Emma experiences fun activities throughout the month such as water day, foam day and the most recent parade of cultures where their class represented Italy with chef hats and aprons. We couldnt imagine Emma learning and growing up at any other place! Thank you Goddard School for everything you do everyday!-Stacy H

While Mr D seems to have a long lasting positive influence on her, the front desk staff never appear short of energy any time of the day. All in all the entire staff at this location deserves a big applause for the consistent positive culture imbibed. I wish I had joined my daughter here 5 years ago. We love this place !!!

This school is amazing. The administration and teachers are the best in the business. My daughter loves all of the fun and engaging “special days” as she calls them:) They are always having dress up days, themed days, school dances, and carnivals! I also appreciate their high standards when it comes to health and safety. My child comes home clean and happy everyday. She does suffer from seasonal allergies and they are wonderful at communication when she is uncomfortable. They have these fabulous daily reports that come to me through an app and I always know what’s going on at school! The report tells me about her eating, sleeping, and diapering , and sends me pictures and videos. It also shows me all the things she learned about in school that day, it’s extremely detailed. I highly recommend this school, the owner, Ms. Jenna, and her staff are why this place is the best around!

We love The Goddard School on Windward Parkway. Our son has been there for nearly two years. I am very impressed with how much he is learning, including Spanish, music and physical education. Our son has had great and caring teachers throughout his time. I feel like they have gotten to know us as a family and not just customers. I can see clearly the progress our son has made in language, social development and much more. In addition, Mrs. Virginia is a whiz with potty training! We moved 20 miles north, but will still keep bringing our son to the Goddard School because we have had such an excellent experience.

I was dreading going back to work and leaving my daughter, as any new mom feels when they have to leave their little one for the first time! However, from the moment we enrolled her at Goddard, our expectations have not only been met, but rather completely surpassed. The front office staff, the management, and the teachers are all warm, welcoming, and wonderful! The teachers are all knowledgeable and patient, understanding the childrens readiness and comfort levels, and they design and implement instruction that has helped my child thrive and continue to develop at an appropriate pace. The communication is open and consistent, and I am always confident and well-informed of all that has occurred while I have been away from my little one during the day. The staff at Goddard truly care not only for just the little ones, but for their mamas as well, sending us picture and video updates throughout the day. We have recommended Goddard to friends, and those who have followed us to the Goddard family have been equally impressed. We love our Goddard family!

5.0 star rating10/16/2017I am very pleased with my experience with Goddard so far! I enrolled my son into their school and they welcomed him with open arms. I am a first time mother and my son enrolled at 7 weeks. I was a little anxious in general as any mother would be, but after the very first week, I felt a lot better knowing that he was in good hands. I am excited to see him grow with Goddard and I can already tell he is very inquisitive about what the other kids are doing. He likes the activities and I like the diversity of the schools teachers and kids. I also like that the lead teachers have a background in early childhood education and that the assistant teachers seem to be on a path to learning as well. The high scores of the children tested at this school show that they are being prepared for the demands of the real world

When searching for a childcare provider (especially for a first time parent) you are nervous to leave your child with anyone. For those of us who have to return to work, the thought of dropping your child off for 8+ hours and leaving them with strangers is scary as hell! Stop your search now if you are looking for a premier childcare facility because Goddard School at Windward is where you want your children to be!Our daughter Emma who is now 2.5 has been at Goddard since she was 12 weeks old. My husband and I both work full time and have entrusted this provider to care for Emma. Our expectations have not only been met, but exceeded to the highest degree possible. When you walk in the front door, you feel like you are at home surrounded by family. All of the teachers have made a lasting impression on Emma’s growth and development. They come up with their own lesson plans based on the GA development goals and interest of the students in the class. The teachers document all activities in an app which is sent out at the end of each day and includes pictures and videos. These teachers are approachable, patient, loving and create and foster a positive and safe environment. They are proactive and communicate openly. Emma is exposed to music and Spanish class each week. She sings full songs, counts to 15 and knows all of her colors in English and Spanish! She can tell me all her shapes, knows the latest yoga poses and uses sign language. The faculty is extremely engaged, positive, available and is always looking for ways to improve. They are creative and publish a diverse newsletter which showcases monthly calendar of events. Emma participates in dress up days, events around holidays such as an Easter Egg Hunt, movie days, community involvement such as a canned food drive, Fairy Tale Ball... the list goes on and on. The faculty members (Jenna, Kristin, Brittany and Tara) are influential and the glue that holds this diverse team together.

They created an environment that was so healthy. He LOVES school. Additionally, Ms. Virginia in the Sea Lions class is amazing. Choosing a daycare was the one thing I was most scared to do when I was pregnant. After months of research and touring facilities I choose a location and only weeks after having my son, my husband was relocated to Alpharetta, GA. I was crushed. I feverishly started the process all over, with only a few weeks before I went back to work. Being new to the area, and making a decision so quickly, I was super nervous. Upon walking into Goddard on Winward and meeting the owner Jenna, I knew this facility was special. Teachers are free to praise and love the kids and it shows. I loved the facility, the outdoor space and the gym! It gives lots of options of locations for the kids to explore and learn. Upon getting him enrolled, I was actually excited for him to start school. Miss Joyce, the lead infant room teacher is amazing. Being in a new town with my first child knowing no one, Miss Joyce gave me confidence and enforced that I my son was on the right track and doing great. She was always willing to give me advice and suggestions. It takes a village to raise kids and I am so happy to have Jenna and her team apart of my village.

Our first son started at Goddard as an infant when it was time for me to go back to work. I was dreading it, but Goddard was a great decision! That was almost 3 years ago, and now our second son is in the infant room with some of the same teachers. There have been some staff changes over the years and some much-loved teachers have left, but other great teachers have joined the staff. We are still here because we love the curriculum and the teachers. The teachers and staff are all very friendly and they all know your childrens names even if they havent had them in class yet. There are too many favorites to name names, but you wont be disappointed... the front staff makes you feel like you are their best friend and your child/ren are their favorites. We love this place!

Being that my own mother was too modest, and merciful, unwilling to ruin the reputation of this “loving environment”, I am writing a review on her behalf, as I believe that everyone should be treated equally and fairly, and when they are not, it is our job to speak up.From a student stand-point, this school is great. I’ve seen the way the staff interact with their kids at one of their many spring events. It is a positive environment, the kids are engaged in a fun and creative way. They even seem, excited and enthusiastic about participating and seeing their educators, but from a teacher’s stand-point it is completely different. My mother was a teacher there for a year, and not a day went by when she didn’t come home telling us stories about the amazing kids. She loved it, it was interactive, and she really felt connected with all of them. But things started to change, and although she enjoyed engaging with the children, she did not enjoy working with the staff. Most days she’ll come home restless, exhausted from the day and the work load given her. Her position was an assistant teacher, at least that’s what they have told her when applying for the job, but when it came down to it she was left alone with the children (20 or so of them) for hours at a time, taking care of them single handedly. This would go on for the rest of the year (still being underpaid) and when she’d ask for assistance, at times they would help, but other times they would say they are short on staff. On top of this, she had 2 special needs children in her class, and she was in charge of changing diapers. Often times they would push her lunch break, or even take it out all together, (prior to the time she sent in her resignation letter) to milk as much money as they can get. I’ve witnessed this myself, when one day she called saying she couldn’t break for lunch, and I delivered it to her while she was still working, and too my surprise (not really, it was predictable at this point) she was handling the kids all by her self. I was grateful to be there (for her sake) and even insisted on staying when I saw the chaos the classroom broke up into, within that one second she turned around to open the door. Although she was able to get things under control in a matter of seconds (idk how you do it mom, you’re amazing) she could not turn around for more than a few moments, or barely even break for the bathroom without the classroom resulting to its previous state, and this always worried me.It is a hard job for just one person. So why stay?At this point my mother was invested with the kids, and formed close bonds with all of them. Leaving was not necessarily something she wanted to do, and found it heart breaking to think about. But after months and months under the same conditions, she eventually had to resign, telling the community that she was sick, just to avoid being problematic, ruining the school’s rep. , and disappointing the parents.it saddens me that an organization such as this, would take advantage of such a loving and hard working person. To this day, my mother is still afraid of working for organizations such as yours .If you do not have enough staff members for a classroom, cut down on the number of students, don’t try to milk as much money as you can by putting them in stressful environments. Even with special needs children, (especially more than one) it’s more convenient to have more than one teacher available. Even I know this being the 18 year old that I am.It is not fair to over work staff members and take advantage of them, or even mislead them into thinking that they would have another co-worker helping them out in the classroom when that is so far from the truth.so anyone considering to work here, please, reconsider, for your own sake.I hope you change Goddard, you’re in my prayers.

We enrolled our kid in Jan 2019 and we withdrew our kid after 3 school days and lost 30 days of school fees. Considering Goddards reputation we thought this school will be best for our kid. Our kid is 18 months and she dont know how to eat by herself. We understand teachers do assist kid with the meals but our kid were never fed home food. We sent banana in case our kid dont eat her lunch. No body offered her banana or school milk for 3 days. We got an answer that they were not aware of it.Our kid was having little running nose. Nobody cares to clean it. We repetitively asked to clean it and apply moisturizer if needed. The nose portion was always dirty and dry.We were sending water bottle and sippy cups for milks but they were never used. Ni body ever gave a water or milk to our kid.We didnt expect these things from Goddards. We decided to withdraw our kid and enroll her in another school. We are having peace of mind and our kid is learning alot of new things. We will never recommend this school to anyone. Again every kid is different, every parents are different.

My children have been at the school for over 7 years and we can honestly say the director is awesome. The school has had two owners in this time and the current owner has taken the school to another level by hiring the current director. She is so attentive to the parents and children. We know whats going on in the school, what our child is working on and whats coming up. The school uses a tool called tadpole that allows you to see online daily sheets with pictures of your child daily. Its great because I now have hundreds of pictures of my children in day care. They also perform bi-annual testing and quarterly assessments so you know how your child is progressing. Its great they merge computers and digital assessments into the school, but limit screen time to just these activities. Overall, I cant say enough good things about the Kindergarden teachor or director.

We have been greatly disappointed in the management of this Goddard School ever since Jena Ellis became owner of the school. If went from Jena being the director and interactive to her being the owner and not caring about what was taking place in the school. I have noticed a huge shift in lack of communication with the parents. Every week their is a different teacher in my childs class and when I asked management the reasons are we are making adjustments. Before Jena was the owner their was stability in the classroom and my child liked coming here but now their are so many teacher and so many changes for the worst I mite add that we cant keep up. Every parent that I have discussed these issues with in my decision to take out my child has agreed on how unorganized the school has gotten and how fake and unprofessional the management staff is being. Just because you talk with a high pitched voice and talk as if you ( Jena ) are trying to persuade me that everything is going to be ok doesnt mean I believe it when I see whats going on right before my eyes. I have tired to stay at the school because this is all we were use to but its not worth all the money in the world to stay somewhere where there is no stability, no communication and lies being told.
