I wish I could get my hair cut more often!Hair Science has raised my expectation of barbers. In the past I had to grow out double lined parts and crooked fades. So glad those bad haircuts are behind me! There are a lot of places that offer similar services but few that can match the quality and price of Hair Science.I would recommend to family, friends and, even strangers!

This is a place that I am gonna be revisiting again, and probably again. I went there with probably the most atrocious haircut that I have ever had from Great Clips. But, some good did come out of it. Cause it lead me to this amazing local establishment. There is no doubt in my mind that I will continue to give this place my business.

Hair science was a great place to get a hair cut. I loved going there and was excited every time I have an appointment. The staff were always friendly, treated you like a person and not just another head of hair, and always polite, offering drinks, chairs, and to take your jacket.

I went in during a time frame when they overbooked which had also happened in multiple previous visits. I was passed around between four different barbers in one appointment and had to explain to each of them over and over what I wanted done with my hair. Even after explaining each time I still left with a bad cut. I understand they run a team based system and some of them are learning to cut but it was still a very unprofessional experience and I won’t be returning.

These guys are great. They were in the middle of remodeling—even apologized for the appearance—but the building and staff have personality. Kevin cut my hair and was a great guy besides. A little to short for my girlfriends tastes, but I think they did a great job! That was the first time Ive ever had someone take a straight razor to line up the edges of my cut. Starting from walking in, I was greeted personally, and exiting, I was bid farewell with a sense of high honor and compliments.Speaking of compliments, their cuts are second to none. They really do have it down to a science. This was an altogether wonderful experience at the barbers. The customer service, professionalism and polished manners of the owner made me feel very taken care of and catered to the second I walked in the door. Excellent barbering skills complete the customer care package. The store has Alaskan made hair products that are quite nice. I am using some now. The shop was clean and tidy and very nicely kept and yet left some room for playfulness. One whole wall of the shop is dedicated to a mural of the Marvel character, Black Panther. Their true customer service comes in the form of going above and beyond with proper greetings utilizing Sir/Ma’am, offering drinks, taking your coat, remembering your name, the staff wearing formal attire, and striking up good quality conversation. The haircut is an excellent experience with great detail going into the work even utilizing straight razors. I came in with a picture of what I wanted but my hair was still too short. Lester worked progressively on it every two weeks for an extended time to give me the exact hair cut I requested after it had grown to the proper length. Lester does an excellent job with a very high attention to detail. Shawn, the owner, is the epitome of a great manger and instructor. I have witnessed him several times mentor the other hair stylist with enthusiasm that shows he really cares. I also greatly appreciate how much work has been put in to make sure the parlor is clean and updated. You can tell the building they are in is very old and needs work on the outside. But inside you can see where great dedication has been placed on polishing it up. It seems the art of customer service and displaying a passion for your trade may be fleeting on some businesses. I got set up with an appointment over the phone and when I showed up they were ready for me. I got a great haircut and a shave with a straight razor. Both were very skillfully and quickly done. My barber was pleasant and easy to work with. The price was excellent - I felt the value of the services I received far outweighed the price. First time going to Hair Science. Things to remember it’s a training school for Barbers and Hair Stylists. I have to say as a professional training manager, the staff did this right! I walked in was greeted professionally, very clean, great friendly vibe. Had my hair and beard cut and I am totally pleased. I had an appointment and was taken back on time which was so awesome. We all know we make hair cut appointments and they seem to always be late. Not saying that couldn’t happen, but for me it didn’t. The cost is on par or cheaper then most places I have gone and they wash your hair as part of it. I left feeling like you should after a good cut and conversation in the chair. I will return!! To the instructors, keep it up, you have a great program only wish I knew sooner.

Respectful, professional, clean, and upbeat environment. I am comfortable bringing my 5 y/o son for the student barbers and he loves the artwork on the walls. I even get my short haircut by one of the professionals and he does an amazing job. It fits me perfect, and very particular for the style I am going for.

I cant comment on their work as I havent been able to get my haircut. Let me explain:The first time I visited, I walked in without an appointment and was turned away because they were booked up and low staffed. I was encouraged to make an appointment another time--understandable. Inconvenient but understandable.I made an appointment last week for today. I walked in, told them I had an appointment, and sat down. A few minutes later, the gentlemen asks me why I didnt confirm my appointment? I told him I didnt think I had to considering I already scheduled the appointment. We went back and forth for a few seconds about a requirement to confirm appointments via text. He explained that since I did not confirm my already scheduled appointment, the other patron sitting in the waiting area with me was given my time slot. The employee did offer to fit me in later in the day, but at that point I had enough.What is the point of taking appointments only and then not honoring them when the customer shows up at a scheduled time?

Face it, for some of us theres always that looming dread when trying out a new hair establishment. Weve been burned in the past, albeit the mistake corrects itself, its a mistake well have to live with for a short while before hunting for another solution.Enough was enough. Ive never been to a barber before, but I have always experimented with my hair. One thing was for sure though, and it was that I was done with other people experimenting on my hair.Ill cut to the chase — this place wasnt like that. I wanted some place that was precise, and an establishment that could provide evidence. A good ol fashion barber was my solution, and the name fit the bill. Hair Science.The people there are nice and welcoming. Sometimes Im greeted with a slight awkwardness from a few of the younger gentlemen, however the spirit is there and its always wholesome. Talking to strangers is hard sometimes!The majority of the time I get seated in the chair on time, but on occasion I wont see the shampoo phase pre-cut for about 5-10 minutes over initial appointment time - which personally isnt an issue. Craft takes time. I want the barber to be taking as much time on my cut as he is with the fella in front of me.Once in the seat, I feel comfortable. My hair is in the hands of a master, or someone studying from a master. The person doing the cut takes time to listen and understand what it is I want, instead of assuming and giving me a cookie-cutter haircut.It may sound cliche but these people have it down to a science. My biggest take away is that were the largest part of their successful formula. They will inform and articulate for you, the areas that you cant, and help usher your mind in the right space while giving you the look you want.These people treat your hair as their own product, and as any business knows, they want their product to look great. From my first cut since my last, I have always been treated with respect, as a valued customer, and even as a friend.I would recommend this place, 10/10. Very professional from the moment you walk in to attempt at setting you up for recurring appointments as you leave. Definitely had the barbershop feel with the TVs and the conversation. I came in to get my beard trimmed and at first glance the lineup and the overall shape was good. But the next day when I combed it out, it became apparent it should have been combed out more while I was in the chair. There were a bunch of super long hairs still. They’re still learning, and this was my first visit I’ll probably give them another shot.

Hair Science is taking it back to an old time barbershop feel with the sharp dressed barbers and welcoming family friendly environment. I was amazed by the great service, and positive energy and atmosphere. The haircut was precise and perfect. I got a full service experience, complimentary beverages while I was waiting, and a very reasonable price for what I got. I dont think I need to look any place else for a haircut in the future. They are open late, which is very convienent for people who work until 5 PM. Great Job!

Very friendly people that do more than make sure that you look good. They give back to the community like no other. Great hair cuts and shaves, but their community involvement is what keeps me coming back.

I went here after searching vaguely searching for barbershops. Im so glad that I did because even tho this place is a school they are by far the best that I have been to. Every one is so professional and they have the best customer service. Single or bringing the family with hands down the best. Definitely will return and recommend to anyone and everyone.

First time at Hair Science and I left thoroughly impressed. Staff was well dressed, professional and very friendly. Atmosphere was laid back and the place was clean. I had my hair washed twice and received a fresh cut at a time that was most convenient for me, which was well after 6:00 pm. I had a unique experience, unlike any that Ive ever had at a barbershop.
