My daughter has attended Anchorage Montessori School since she was 3 and she loves it!! It is truly an amazing learning environment and academic community tailored to each individual child, dedicated to helping them reach their potential. The love of learning the children develop, and their sense of accountability and respect to and for one another is priceless. While the academic program is unparalleled, it’s the way the school fosters my daughter’s confidence and self esteem that really blows me away. We love this school!!

My son currently attends and it is the best place for him! The things he learns are coupled with the positive attitude towards learning that make this a great school!

Both of our daughters are thriving in the elementary program at AMS. We love the incredibly dedicated teachers, friendly and resourceful staff, and are believers in the Montessori approach. We are super grateful for this school!

I didnt know much about the Montessori method before enrolling our oldest child at Anchorage Montessori School. We were basically just looking for a stimulating environment with warm, caring staff members who would help socialize and teach our child independence. AMS has exceeded our expectations. After an initial week of crying at drop-off, our child looked forward to going to school every day, and has been there for almost three years. The day is structured, but kids are also free to choose the activities that interest them most. The teachers facilitate that interest through lessons that the children are free to observe, if they want. The older kids reinforce what theyve learned by showing the younger kids how to do things, whether its counting, naming continents, or learning life skills, like combing hair or putting on a winter coat. Weekly music and Spanish classes are also part of the curriculum. We just enrolled our second child this fall. If you are looking for a pre-K experience that is more than a daycare, I highly recommend this program. (PS: They help with potty-training, too.)

We have had two children attend AMS. Our daughter is currently attending and loves it. Its a great learning environment with a great staff.
