I have lived near this school for 12 years and its been a good neighbor until recently. Every recess is now punctuated with the childrens screams and shrieks that can easily be heard blocks away. When walking my dog over the past couple of weeks, it has become clear that the school staff is totally disengaged from the children at recess. They stand around letting the kids run wild and dont bother to consistently watch from a distance much less enter the play area. This is a serious threat to the childrens safety and a significant departure from the schools previous practices. I hope some parents see this and contact school administration.

I have childhood memories here...so understand that my review is a bit skewed in that way. I attended this school way back in the 80s and just now thought of it again while sitting with my kids watching Go Diego Go and an episode with Puffins came up. We are not in Alaska or else they would be very familiar with this school as they are ages 1.5 and almost 4 currently.I remember a warm loving environment here with lots of songs, drawing, pouring, stacking, dish washing, so many fun things. Also my first ballet classes, really I remember it as a wonderful place...I hope it is still like this!!
