I went here to find out about the services they offer and the young man who met me was an arrogant and unprofessional example of poor customer service. When I asked about the different types of meditation he actually took his finger, pointed at their menu, and started speaking to me carefully and slowly like I was a small, inept child complete with the voice! Fortunately, I work customer service as well so I don’t humiliate easy. I turned on my heel and left. If this is how you treat people who want information before they spend money at your business - stay overpriced and broke! Don’t go here!!!!

I’ve been going to OHAC for about 5 years. I’ve never had a bad experience. I love having deep tissue massage with Seraphim and acupuncture with Lamar. I try to fit this in every time I make a trip to Anchorage.

Amazing massage! Best in Anchorage 🎶Following excellent COVID-19 Protocols which I really appreciate. Cynthia is a master massage therapist!

If I could give less than 1 star I would I am never going here again. I got hustled and taken advantage of. Do NOT go here. If you do, do not get a massage with Vivian no matter how much the receptionist tries to convince you. Im sorry. She was nice but the massage was absolutely awful. I spent over $100 for an hour for no reason at all my back still hurts and she did not even try to work out my knots. Im still in pain.I got a student massage here before which was better, and cheaper, but the receptionist convinced me to get a massage with a professional instead. I was ripped off!!! I may try again if they offer me a discount because of the wasted money I spent.I work in a physically demanding job on my feet for 9 hours or more a day, which I informed her about, and she barely massaged my legs, which I requested for her to pay attention to, and didnt even touch my feet. Terrible service.

Kristi gives the very best massages. I always feel like shes invested in my health which is important to me because I deal with chronic pain and she has been a vital part of dealing with my auto immune disease. I have had many massages and massage therapists and I would reccomend her with flying colors. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. They offer many services and Im so glad to have them in the Spenard neighborhood.

Finishing up the 1st half of class this month and extremely pleased with the course thus far. Although the school isnt the traditional classroom setting there is an incredible amount of knowledge covered in every class. As for the negative reviews posted about the quality of instruction, this is a school where you get what you put into it.

I am surprised to see ratings below 5 stars. I wouldn’t pick anywhere else for school or massage therapy.

Ive been very pleased with Oriental Healing Arts Center. The staff are so sweet to call and remind me of my massage appointments and always welcome me with smiling faces. Rose has been giving me wonderful massages for the past two months and she is amazing! Thank you all for the great service you provide!

Beautiful place of healing. Safe place to learn, grow and self-cultivate. My children are in the Kung fu program, I went through the massage program and recommend it without reservation to other healers seeking a career in Massage and Bodywork. Transformational School! :)

Went for an hour couples massage. Everyone we met was super sweet. Before we got started the masseuse consulted to see where I needed tlc & this was one of very few places that can apply a LOT of pressure. I had huge knots and tension in my shoulders and left feeling so relaxed and happy. Props!!

Christy is unbelievably talented. I have been getting thai yoga massages from her for a couple of years now, and I really cant imagine a better therapy than that. Its deep and she knows what she is doing. Ive been really happy with all of the services here, but she is exceptionally talented. Certainly one of the best in the state, if not the best in the state.

The best massage school in Alaska! Students are very well trained in many different modalities of massage and Oriental healing arts. I was so impressed with the school, I chose to work there when I became a professional. Highly recommend OHAC for educational classes or a great massage!

Came in in dire straights for a massage. Specifically asked if they did deep tissue was told yes. The ENTIRE time I was on the table all I wanted to do was get up!!! The lady was sweet as pie but the 80.00 massage WAS TERRIBLE...and to top it off the front desk lady saw I was in tears and took my money and said thanks for being honest...which I dont care about the money even tho Im a single mother and could of bought groceries for a week and had my son tickle me.. NOT HAPPY NEVER WROTE A REVIEW BEFORE IN MY LIFE BUT THIS IS NEEDED DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

This was my first massage experience and it was awful. My professional massage therapist was incredibly nice, but terrible at her job. I hardly felt that she was there even after repeatedly requesting that she press harder. I went in to try to get some relief from stress and chronic back pain (why I had to leave my old job). I left with the exact same issues along with a headache from the horrible cloying smells in the building. Will not be going back, and Im horrified that so many people have given them 5 stars. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!

I love this place! I am currently attending school at the center and just about completed anatomy and physiology classes... It has been a great experience, I have learned so much from the teachers and have enjoyed the integration of Thai chi, and yoga as well as qigongs all of which have been very beneficial to my physical being. Leanne the physiology teacher, is awesome, she is a caring teacher and really goes the extra mile to accommodate and assist students with the learning process. Joan the anatomy teacher has an incredible knowledge of the subject and is also very concerned with students getting the information they need. Michele and Brittany are the soul of the massage instruction process, I have learned so much from them, they are patient caring women and impart a wealth of knowledge and wisdom, next semester I start Oriental medicine portion of the program and can not wait! I recommend this school to anyone wanting an exceptional experience on their journey to become a massage therapist!

After 5 years of shoulder pain due to a military injury and 2 years of back from being in a car accident, I am pain free! I was very, very skeptical of acupuncture and I now recommend this procedure and this Center to anyone who is looking for better health, better quality of life, and reduced pain.
