We have sent all 5 of our children to Saint Michael School. Our children have been throughly prepared for high school. The teachers are caring, encouraging and dedicated to the whole child.

Its a good school it teaches kids stuff and a lot of them are smart but its nothing special.

Anyone else think John Smith is a fake account. Its a Catholic school come on people. Ill tell you why he is wrong. Ok so the school might be cheaper and they are absolutely right... by this I mean you can see how cheap the school is, they live from fundraiser to fundraiser and off of diocesan money and if they can save a cent they will do whatever they can from cheap food to everything else. The faith is strengthened is true but by that they mean they have a sub-par theology class and have all the things you would see in another Christian school. As for confirmation and confession, any church has these things and it is nothing special. As for the teachers they are mostly annoying and unlikable. As for the students Rowdy is an understatement and Well-behaved is only skin-deep. As for making friends there are only about 15 people in each class you better hope your child likes the other 14 (growing smaller and smaller each year) in his/her class because they will be talking with them for multiple years and not that many other people. As for being challenged academically everyone goes at the same pace whether you like it or not (except for the poorly executed honors math system) so it just depends on how good of a learner you are. And the specials are just classes where you can kick back and learn things you already know or learn things you will never need to know (or just play games). The HSPT training is just (optionally) paying twenty dollars to have your child stay after school once a week and learn that there are a few trick questions on the test, so when they take the test they will almost never use anything that they learned (I dont know why they advertised this I guess they ran out of good things about the school). as for the last statement its completely false and if anything the exact opposite.In conclusion you will be better off looking at other school options nearby and probably not a Catholic school that gives themselves 5 stars as John Smith. Holy Spirit is a good school very close by and I hear St.Leos is a great school.

I work with many children, never have I had someone talk to me like the staff at this school do. One occasion I was told to stand in a corner, the other the principal repeatedly called me a babysitter using it as some kind of derogatory statement (Im not a babysitter, but how is babysitter even a bad thing?) and saying that I was a liability. Now the kids seem to like it but do they know any different? When the Prinicipal was talking to me like that I felt embarrassed that the children were having to see that kind of behavior. If thats how they act to me I wonder what theyre doing with the kids when adults arent present. Embarassing to have a church acting like this!
