I needed to have a setup on my 81 Gibson 335.I chatted briefly with Taras, the guitar tech, and he would haveit for me in a couple of weeks. Garrett Park Guitars isfantastic. Taras modified the nut, leveled, crowned, and polishedthe frets. The guitar plays better than ever. Needserious guitar stuff? Go to Garrett Park Guitars.

Great staff here. Their luthier Taras is top notch. He re-fretted a vintage p bass for me in under a week. He took the time to sit with be before hand and address any concerns I had and best of all he listened very intently to every concern and request I had for him. He did an immaculate job, addressing every detail that I spoke w/ him about. Great guy, quick work and the best re-fret I have ever had on any guitar. Highly recommend.

Lucky to have them in my area. Amazing selection and a team that goes above and beyond. Set ups are on point and their repair people do a good job. Can’t wait to get my next guitar. Nick has helped me out tremendously as well.

The staff is very friendly, but gave me space to try out many of their guitars, before choosing a beautiful Breedlove, which I bought at a great price, and they set up perfectly. I could not be happier with my experience!

Although I have had two positive transactions with Rick, I recently had a very poor interaction with Nate when trying to purchase a guitar. In the end, I decided to refrain from purchasing the guitar since I was given the cold shoulder. When spending several thousand dollars on a guitar, you should feel like a valued customer. My past interactions and purchases with Rick are the only thing which prevented me from giving a one star review. Its unlikely I will do business here again.

I have purchased 2 Gibson guitars from Garrett Park Guitars within the last 4 months and my brother has purchased one. All vintage, all excellent guitars. I have had work done on other guitars by the staff going back to 2007 and everyone of my instruments play like a dream. Great follow up and very knowledgeable and nice people. I have actually been buying supplies from them since the West Street days in the 90s. Nice to have quality so close to home.

One of the only stores in the area to offer vintage and new instruments and equipment. The staff is very knowledgeable and accommodating. You cant walk down an area of this store without bumping into a must-have. Anything you want, they got it.

Needed my action set and they basically just changed the strings. he didnt like working on an inexpensive Alvarez. me and that guitar did a tour in Iraq; its valuable to me. so I took it somewhere else, got it playing nice, and bought a new guitar too.counter staff were nice tho.

A notably good array of instruments for what space they have available. The staff were capable of addressing questions about the full range of their inventory (rather than throwing basic affirmations about whatever the customer might be yammering on about).Ill happily be returning for future equipment needs.

I bought one guitar and brought it in for a minor repair and a woman told me a story behind the guitar and tried to resell it to me. And her story was completely different from the original salesman story lol I don’t know who she was but they say no women work there. (Solomon Island Road)

I have been to this store twice. The first time, the customer service was great and overall very helpful. However, the second time one of the employees was unbearable rude. She drove me to the point where I just walked out. The store itself has high quality products, it’s just they need to hire the right people.

Thank goodness. A real-life, actual, old-school, bricks and mortar guitar shop. This is a good place with a good owner. I hope that places like this stick around forever.

I fist made contact with Rick back in early 2000.His knowledge on guitars is second to none. I have purchased a number of guitars from over 6000 miles away. Impeccable integrity, patience and honesty. After much work and many visits to the PRS factory, he got me the guitar of my dreams. How he made a profit after all his time and effort can only be explained by his desire to make many customers happy. If I need advice, he returns my communication sometimes within minutes , but alway that day. Fifteen years of rock solid help and advise. Very highly recommended

What can I say, Rick from Garret Guitars is the definition of customer service. I ordered my 22 year old PRS from him and he went out of his way to to get it to me in 2 days - so that I had it for my Gig.The guitar is excellent - and everything he said it would be - and so much more. Its always challenging when buying a guitar without even seeing it or playing it - but Rick really makes you feel secure in your purchase.I cant recommend him or Garret Guitars enough

The Rockin Dog Strat. Hello Rick, this is Dennis and I need to comment on our transaction.. The 62 Slab Strat with a Mary Kaye Finish on an Ash Body is a great guitar. You nailed it regarding the thickness of the fretboard. The guitar is light and superb. The only comment that I need to make and this is true of virtually all rosewood fretboard guitars that being built today is that the fretboard needs to be oiled which thereby cures the wood. I have applied four coatings of lemon based fretboard oil on the board. Superb! The oil brings out the natural grain and darkens it. Maybe you wish to provide a six buck bottle of this with these guitars. All of the best! Dennis

I brought three guitars in there over a week ago, for a few days they lost my expensive guitar. The other two were getting simple repairs (basically restrung) that shouldve taken no more than an hour. My calls went unanswered, I couldnt even get anybody to answer the phone during normal business hours. I finally had to pull my guitars out of there, unrepaired. Terrible, terrible service!
