I highly recommend guitar lessons with Jake! My daughter has been taking lessons with Jake since February, and she loves it! By the end of her first lesson, she could play a song and she was thrilled. By the second lesson, she was learning chords to songs she picked the lesson before. And by June, only 4 months after picking up a guitar for the first time, she was playing and singing in her first on-stage solo performance (organized yearly by Jake for all of his students)! Jake is patient and encouraging; he is funny and easy to talk to you; he is a good listener and helps the kids learn to play what they want to play. My daughters enthusiasm for guitar has been contagious, and I recommend Jake to all of her friends who now want to play, too!

Fantastic teacher. My son (7) has been taking lessons from him for two years, and I started last year. I cant believe how much weve both progressed. He works with you to choose pieces that you like and that at the same time advance particular skills, and hes incredibly patient and positive. Not only is my son learning how to play, but he is also getting the foundation for a lifelong love and appreciation of music. And its very satisfying for me to finally be playing the pieces that Ive sung along to on the radio for all these years.

Jake is great. He is teaching my 5 year old daughter the guitar and she loves it. He jokes around enough to make it fun but not enough to get off track. He makes use of every minute that he is there so there is no wasted time. My younger children love him too and he can teach even with a 3 and 2 year old around. My daughter is making more progress than expected for her age and it is because she loves Jake and he tailors the lessons to what she likes (e.g., Frozen). Highly recommend.

Jake Posko is an outstanding teacher and all-around cool guy. His approach is completely tailored to the individual and he gets you playing within the first lesson. Jake works with you so that you can play exactly what you want to play, and then he can take you to the next level. He is patient and resourceful about engaging students and hes a great choice for kids and adults. And he comes to you! What could be better? Two thumbs up!

Jake is awesome!!! Not only is he personable, trustworthy, and professional, he has kept my son engaged in guitar since the first lesson two years ago. (After that first lesson, my son said he learned more in one hour with Jake than in a year of guitar class at school.) Jakes philosophy of having the students work on music they choose and then learning fundamentals that relate has been great for keeping my son motivated. My son now plays guitar voluntarily, so I dont have to nag him to practice. I know this will be a lifelong hobby, inspired by Jake!

Jake is awesome! He makes learning the guitar so much fun! My daughter also wanted to play ukulele and Jake didnt hesitate to teach that, as well.
