I love my job and my students. Research based, good teaching philosophies have been implemented to fidelity and are woven into every level, k-8, so that the students have routines they can know and trust. Students and parents are often consulted when decisions are to be made. Most parents volunteer quite a bit. Lots of field trips, projects, multi-age groupings, and small class sizes allow children have fun while learning.

It is the best school you can put your child academically in Antioch. Ranging from tk-8 with 200 students, the middle school students test well above the Contra Costa County average. Keep this in mind while your lils are in elementary. Their end goal is to see them bridge better into high school. I wish those test scores were made more readily available then the elementary. There is a lot of parent involvement if you choose to participate. A circle of parents may seem tighter than others but this is an illusion I had to break myself. Those are parents who help the school WEEKLY or BI WEEKLY, so its fitting they become close and they do welcome newcomers. They offer a wide variety of options for children who need a little more help than others, which is great because most schools in the district only offer a base that is not the best fit for independent learning abilities. There is no playground. The fairgrounds will not allow the school to build one but Ive never heard the children complain. Only the parents. They have jump rope, balls, etc and keep well occupied by playing tag and other child imagination games. School lunch is provided by the district for those who prefer their children eating a hot lunch. This school is far different from most charter schools. It is not the right fit for all families. It is the best school in Antioch for tk-8 thats free. If youre looking for something very specific to fill demanding expectation without parent involvement, my advice to you is to look into private. That would be your only option from here.
