My boys love going to taekwondo with Grand Master Jung. He challenges the kids and helps them improve on their skills. You can really tell how much he loves these kids. So professional, lots of fun. My kids confidence has grown and they look forward to class two times a week.

Grand Master Jung is very passionate and enthusiastic at teaching Taekwondo for learners from young kids to adults. We enjoy learning Taekwondo with our kid, and it is also very effective for keeping us both physically and mentally healthy.

My almost 5 year old has been attending for over a month now and classes bring him great joy during the week! They are well organized and structured, yet very fun both for kids to participate and parents to watch! I get my doze of entertainment when I am there, kids are just adorable and master Jung really knows how to keep them engaged. Hope to keep this up!

I took my daughter into JL Taekwondo to get her started in Taekwondo. Master Jung setup an trial for and had me participate in the trial class with her and before you know it we both taking classes together. Master Jung is great with kids as well as adults. He is constantly pushing you to get better everyday. We go twice a week and enjoy every intense minute of class. If you are interested in starting or looking for a new place to continue your craft I highly recommend it!!!

The instructor is great and lots of fun! He makes you do hard exercises and stances without you even realizing it!

We send both of our kids twice per week and began seeing improvements immediately. Their sessions provide an avenue for exercise, something fun for them to focus on, and most importantly - instill discipline! Their instructor is kid friendly, but firm and both of our kids have responded really well!I would highly recommend this to anyone at any skill level!

We do family classes twice a week, and we couldnt be happier with the skills we are learning. Even more than self defense, we are learning discipline, respect, and self control.Although Grandmaster Jung is a taekwondo world champion, he still meets his students where they are. He challenges all of us while striking the perfect balance of hard work and fun. For children and/or adults, we strongly recommend JL Taekwondo Academy. Try a lesson. You wont be disappointed....You might be sweaty and exhausted, but you will be happy you went.

My son has been attending JL TKD academy in Apex for the past 3 years. He received his black belt in March. It was one of his greatest accomplishments in his young life. Master Jung and his instructors are very professional, knowledgeable and great with the students. As a father I have watched my son grow mentally and physically over the years. I couldn’t be prouder. I highly recommend JL TKD.

Been coming for over a year with two children who have achieved black belt level. Master Jung is great and is determined to see his participants succeed in their training. The facility is large, well lit and has new equipment. Recently started our third child, who is 5, in classes. Right now instruction is being done in super small groups that are socially distanced with temperature checks, hand sanitizer and masks required. Scheduling is flexible and done around school schedules during the day (obviously as space will permit). Also there are some online classes available for those who are not ready to return to in person participation, but want to keep up their taekwondo skill.

Master Jung is very energetic and provides such an exciting learning experience for his students! He holds his students to a high standard, but does so with patience and kindness. He encourages them to be successful in all areas of their life, not just with taekwondo. My two children are eager to go to taekwondo every time and love being a part of his academy!

I’ve been training here for a few weeks now and I’ve had a great time. My teacher is super nice and understanding if I miss appointments. Taekwondo is super fun and a great thing to learn, and JL Taekwondo academy is a great place to learn it

As a disclaimer, Im a close friend of his family. But that aside and just objectively speaking, I highly recommend this gym.When I was little back in Korea, I competed in regional and national sparring competitions (I won all my tourneys but the national one; the guy who beat me after years later went to train with the olympic team). All that is to say, that based on my understanding of TKD, GM Jung is a highly competent and experienced educator. His energy and passion for his work makes his classes fun and enjoyable. I enjoy going to his classes and I look forward to doing so again when my schedule allows in the near future. Whether you are thinking about joining as an adult participant or sending your children, you really wont find an opportunity better than this in North Carolina!

Great and safe environment for kids to learn the art of taekwondo. Grand Master Jung is patient and works well with all the students. My kids enjoy their classes and look forward to the classes every week!

We recently moved to the area and was so thankful to have found a fun, exciting place for my boys (5 and 3yo) to learn tae kwon do. The teacher is so kind and patient and makes the class enjoyable for my kids. There are so many class options, even for adults looking to learn. Highly recommend checking this place out.

We just moved here in August and wanted to continue our sons Tae Kwon Do training. We found JL Tae Kwon Do just down the street from our neighbor hood and have found it to be excellent! Grand Master Jung brings great education, disciple, and fun to each session. He goes above and beyond to make sure health protocols are followed in a safe environment. I strongly urge local parents to register their kids for class. Our kids love being with other kids and doing a fun and physically rewarding activity.

My daughter started over a year ago when she was 4. We are greatly impressed with the progress that she has made. Master Jung and staff are great!

My son really enjoys his taekwando lessons here and was super excited that it opened back up and things are getting back to normal. Master Jung is very accomodating and does a great job making sure the place is clean and safe for everyone.
