Professor Lucas Rocha is an excellent instructor. I started as a white belt and have promoted to a purple belt. The gym camaraderie feels more like family. Everyone is respectful, motivating and competitive. My 56 year old mother has now become a member. Men, women and children are all welcomed.

Both my boys have been training at ZR for over 4 years and love it (7yrs old and 9yrs old). Finally after sitting on the bench for a number years, I just started training as well and it’s been great. Recently, I had to end my membership because I moved away but I have yet to find an academy that meets the high level of expectation that I grew accustomed to. One of the best academies that Ive ever trained at and proud to have been a member of. Theres a great childrens and teen program for your kids. The camaraderie of the members is genuine. The professors and coaches are professional, caring, and attentive and are all ACTIVE COMPETITORS. Honestly, it really doesnt get better than this academy!!!

Started training BJJ back in Brazil while ago, unfortunately had to take a break.! I glad found a place where I can feel the improvement right the way! Thank you ZR Team instructors and students for the attention and motivation.

There arent too many places where you can get training from multiple world champions. The instructors have a true passion for Brazilian jiujitsu, but an even bigger passion in helping both children and adults improve in health, confidence, and self-discipline. Personally, ZR has been a place where I go to for both my physical and mental health. I highly recommend anybody that is wanting to try Brazilian jiujitsu to come and check out ZR California.

I started my Jiu Jitsu journey here at ZR in 2017. Ive had a lesson or two from other gyms, but ive found ZR team to be the place where ive felt the most welcome. Prof Lucas, Prof Diego, and Prof Gabriel are not only world class competitors, but are excellent at teaching. I appreciate their dedication to their student, as well as to the sport. Joining the ZR team has helped me physically as well as learning a new skill!

One of the best decisions I’ve made was to train jiu jitsu at ZR Team. Excellent service, instruction, and facility. After a 10 year hiatus where I recovered from an injury, married, came back to a family business, bought a house and had two kids, I finally returned to jiu-jitsi training and fortune would have it that a world class professor and athlete in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu was literally around the corner from my office. Started back up in 2014 and absolutely love the teachers at the school. The biggest positive is the family -like environment. Supportive and engaging and fellow students are always pushing you and encouraging you. Another break from training was mandatory to bring a family member back to health, and all along the school was supportive and fellow students continued to encourage me to return when I was ready. BJJ is a lifelong journey and this school embodies all the positives of that journey.
