When you call, a BOT ANSWERS and asks you to press the corresponding number for whatever dept you need. NONE OF THEM WORK AND ITS BEEN LIKE THAT FOR ABOUT A YEAR. THERE IS LITERALLY NO WAY TO SPEAK TO A HUMAN FROM THE LOCAL STORE. I called their #800 and described the problem - I was promptly connected to the LOCAL BOT PHONE NUMBER.I called the #800 back and was promptly cut off. Nice work, Office Max.UPDATE: I received a notice that Office Max replied to this review. After reviewing their response I called the number. ITS THE SAME NUMBER, ITS STILL A BOT AND WHEN IT TELLS YOU TO PRESS THE NUMBER FOR THE DEPARTMENT YOU WANT, NONE OF THEM WORK. Several days later, a group of us tested multiple phones. Two of the three phones were unable to reach a human during multiple attempts. The third was successful. Apparently it depends on what type of phone you have.FOOTNOTE: I have been able to contact other multiple businesses and navigate their menus by pressing the corresponding keys on the phones that were unable to access OfficeMax system. Ive notified OfficeMax something is amiss but Im not optimistic anything will change.

Ordered desk furniture for my home office. I asked for a delivery and set-up. They said they could deliver next day but set-up would be 7 days later. So I opted to set it up myself. When the delivery came it had been subbed out to some courier service in a horrible looking truck. I told the driver where I wanted it and he said he couldnt bring it inside. I would have never paid for delivery had I known they were to leave it outside. He laid it down in front of the door so I couldnt close it... Not very happy...

Good service a little under staffed

I have had nothing but good experiences at OfficeMax. The employees are helpful, friendly, and tech-savvy. They have helped me out many times, directing me to find the supplies I needed, and they also produce high-quality printing services, at a reasonable cost.

I walked in with about $1500 burning a hole in my pocket. I was intent on acquiring a new laptop, a good quality digital camera and a good microphone. The staff did everything they could to avoid eye contact or communicate with me. I tried to get several employees to help me, one was busy playing on a laptop, and the others just rushed past me looking uncomfortable. I waited around for about 20 minutes, then I walked out.I came back about an hour later and tried again. Still the same cold shoulder from the staff. I waited around by the laptops, waved and smiled but still got no response. It was as though I was invisible. After half an hour, I walked out. Guess Ill buy what I need from Amazon.

I needed to print my Christmas letter and Frank made it very easy get the letter off my email, format it and copy one side in black-and-white and 1 side (with photos) in color -- plus he showed me how to take advantage of an applicable coupon -- well done, Frank!! Merry Christmas!!Bonnie

Upon my visit today I found Michael to be very rude to another customer that was there being helped. She simply asked a question of how long laminating would take and because they were so busy he was very rude and short to her when she was asking and hes like well let me finish with this job and Ill help you. She responded with his little catty attitude that he gave her and said all I wanted to know is how long it takes I wasnt expecting you to stop what you were doing. And he just looked at her. I mean it doesnt take much to respond to that question. He needs to learn some customer service skills.

OMG....the staff at the Office Max in Arroyo Grande R O C K S!!! We had a hard to find office item and Cera stopped what she was doing to help, she found what we needed, got it shipped store to store and after all of that, even used our 20% off coupon!!! On 1/10/19, I needed to drop off a package to a Fed Ex location. Luckily, SIRI sent me to this Office Max location because the employee, Kirsten, who assisted me, was very warm, efficient, knowledgeable, and professional. Her positive attitude was infectious and so appreciated. Thanks Kirsten!

Usually they have some good deals on office supplies. Have not seen any deals on electronics, so if you are looking for a good deal on a computer go else where. Every time Im in there they are trying to upsell you there protection plan, dont get there software protection useless. They cant figure out anything more than you could.

Office Max manager went out of his way to accommodate my needs when he helped me immediately and aided in my decision to purchase a new Epson printer and set me up with ink subscription. Very impressed with the whole experience!

I actually did not visit the store. but it was the only store that provided a place for me to park my bike and lock it near the grocery store that I did visit .thumbs-up for providing a place for me to safely leave my bike👍

Inexpensive copies. sooner or later Ill figure pout how to sync my phone and printer together. Till then its OfficeMax.

I went to have printing done. Sat down and was being helped by Cera. Then another customer came to the counter and Cera started helping the customer leaving me to wait? People need to wait there turn! Employees need to finish with the first customer before waiting on the 2nd customer!

Their staff was busy apparently and they didnt bother asking me if I needed help till they were ready to close up. Not sure about their pricing on products either, they know Amazon and the Internet exist right. I understand brick and mortar stores are more costly to run but when their price on something is 142.99 and I can purchase it on Amazon for less than 1/2 at $68.99 Im not to keen on making them my first stop on purchases in the future. It wasnt a generic version of the product either. Same retail packaging and it comes to my door. Staff needs to be reminded about helping out the client first. Then price matching would be nice.

I went into this OfficeMax a couple of days ago and the young man helping me was extremely creepy with horrible customer service.

They have tons of office and school supplies,but it took me more than 30 minutes to find an address book. Understaffed, but also not busy.

We were a food 4 less not office max!
