This school is a great school. All the teachers want you to succeed in life and try to prepare you for high school. Most students are nice and you can ask anyone for help and they will try. Classes are fun and they want you to have fun in all of them!!

Legit the worst school I have ever attended. I was always told that middle school would be better than elementary however this was not the case. Oberon sucked. I hate that school more than anything. Most teachers want you to succeed and are really good. I suggest that those teachers should move to drake and get paid better but also have a better school environment. I recommend a better school. Never attended Oberon middle school. You will have the worst 2 years of your life.

The experience at this school is bad. Most Kids there try to go though every day just trying to survive. But the teachers prevent that from them. Every teacher there always has to mess with a student, like they had have to do that for their day to be good. This School is the worst middle school. If you want your kid t go to a school where they wold have a good time and not be harassed everyday be a another student or one of the teachers send them to Drake.

The principal here is genuinely more interested in her stats than the best interest of her children. In multiple occasions speaking with her she has brushed off our concerns. Not a good quality for a principal for a school.

This is the true school to go to if you want to be depressed. The councilors here are awful, the teacher are always grumpy and underpaid, very unsanitary, full of graffiti and gang related nonsense. This is a great school if you want drugs, drama, bullies, or sex. Can I give this school 0 stars? This school should be removed from the Jeffco board, it is not an appropriate environment for young teens. Not to mention you will get tied up and told to burn if youre Jewish, have kids threaten to shoot up the school, or have the SRO blame you for things youve never did, and punish you without any evidence. This school doesnt have religious freedom, freedom or speech, or allow you to express political beliefs. The teachers arent going to help you with anything. Instead, go to Drake. This school caused me acute stress disorder and brought PTSD and suicidal thoughts. Whatever you do, never send your child here.

I love the school it is a great environment and it is really fun to learn with all of the teachers. It is just a great place.

Overall this school is stupidity. Yes, there are a couple teachers and staff that care like kotas, loftus, and ruppert but the rest dont really care. The principal gets mad at kids for stupid things but brushes off the problems that actually matter. When i walk down the halls i feel stared at by the teachers because all they care about is desscoding girls and find any way to body shame. Mr. Rowland lies to get kids in trouble. The kids are rude and self centered. One of the office ladies yells at you of you do the slightest bad thing. Everyday i go to school i feel like im walking on eggshells. Do not recommend.

Most of the bad reviews are from kids being kids. My Kid goes here and he LOVES it.

My first year was better overall, 8th grade wasnt the best, with new Management from the vice principal and several drug groups, it was hard not to get offered weed, harassed and ignored, when you report something, nothing happens

Amazing school a really big step up from West Jefferson middle school in Conifer. My two years at Oberon were great!! The teachers were good Trahant, Loftus, Ramsey and Caveleri were the best! I got a good education and Im glad I was there in 7th and 8th grade

My time spent at Oberon Junior High School was a strange one indeed. Although some of my very worst memories spawn from that hell, its safe to say that the teachers there are amazing, kind, and caring people (well.. some of them)The kids there are just like you think they would be, spoiled, rude, moody, immature, and just plain annoying but the teachers there are much better and learning there sort of gave me some type of education.The teachers such as, Trahant, Watts, Murphy, Kelly, Walkes, and Kochinka are some of the best teachers that i have ever met in my time at public school. They take time to learn about your personality, and your way of learning because they can relate. I had issues with depression and suicide and i got personal help from Trahant and Murphy. Because of them im still here today. Now as i said before the kids that go there are rude and disrespectful beyond all limits. Everyday when i came to school i was greeted with a friendly, whoa you havent killed yourself yet?This school is... okay as the stars say and if you want your kid to meet some amazing people send them there by all means but just be ready for the complaining youre going to get from them.
