So many great things I could say about this place! First, I have to say the atmosphere is always so positive, as Im walking into the gym, I get a boost of self confidence! Mr. & Mrs. Clark makes you feel like family right from the start. Phil kicks my butt into shape! Always great workouts!! I have met some really amazing people here, all of which strive to make you a healthier, better version of yourself!! Thanks for everything!

What a huge disappointment. took an excited and ready 4 yr old for his free trial lil dragons class, and from the reviews i had previously read, expected great things and went prepared to purchase his uniform and pay 3 mths tuition right after the class i was sure he would enjoy. WRONG...from the minute we arrived, it was extremely unstructured and undisciplined to the point that i would not allow him on the floor until teachers arrived because it was a huge class of children running and screaming with no adult supervision. when teachers did finally arrive, a shy 4 yr old tried his best to participate, but with nearly no attention or attempts to make him feel like part of the class or not even asking him his name, he began trying to respond to commands given that had no meaning to him given at a level not developmentally appropriate for the age group. after spending the first half of the class desperately trying to do as told, his building lack of confidence due to the worst teaching methods i have ever seen, and the total lack of structure, discipline, and respect being enforced, resulted in him becoming shy and standing away from the class and no attempt was made to include him or draw him in, and he ended up in tears. he became so upset, and left the floor and one of the teachers left to go to the office, i went and asked her if she could please draw him into the class, and stated my concerns, she told me she had been busy helping another child, and told me she was the owners wife in totally unapologetic and definitely unwelcoming terms. I would NEVER NEVER NEVER subject a child to what i saw there. nothing they advertise they are teaching is being taught such as self confidence and discipline and respect....it was such a traumatic experience that a 4 yr old cried himself to sleep. SHAMEFUL AND IRRESPONSIBLE, and entirely to large of a class for 2 inexperienced young instructors and one highly disinterested owners wife. would not recommend this place to anyone, not only for this reason, but the constant unchecked running and screaming during class was an accident waiting to happen. the only thing of appeal to him was the dragon uniform, and i felt brokenhearted that he was not able to leave with one and get signed up that evening because of the total disaster of the free class that was advertised as so welcoming. BIG LAUGH. so we bought him a dragon tee shirt, and will look for a school with some structure and with instructors with the ability to teach to preschoolers, and to assist shy children, or at least explain to them the terms they are barking at them. dont take your preschooler here unless you are looking for a cheap babysitter and dont care if they are allowed to run amok for a half hour or be excluded altogether. i have been to many martial arts studios, and what i saw here appalled me. may be fine for adults, but not the place for small children to learn anything of any benefit. thank goodness it was free, but it still was not worth the trauma the class was to a 4 yr old and his grandparents. my son is a teacher and i am a psychologist, and there is nothing developmentally appropriate in their teaching methods for the lil dragons. we will look elsewhere, and will suggest to everyone else we know that they avoid this place at all costs unless they want to cause great trauma for their preschooler.
