I took the Foundations course with the Vitalist School of Herbology in 2010 and absolutely loved it. It brought me a lot of information and practical skills so that I now know my own body better and know how to treat myself and my close family when certain things come up. I would strongly recommend Jons classes to anyone interested in finding out more about western herbology and how to treat themselves and others.I had the chance to do a part work trade and was more than satisfied with it. Jon did his best to mix my tasks so that they were fitting with my learning as well as with the gifts I could bring to the exchange. I also felt the trade was very fair, explicit, and clearly communicated.I find that Christines presence in the school has brought a lot as well as and has helped the school expand in many ways.I hope the Vitalist School of Herbology keeps on evolving and bringing more to our community.

I have just finished taking two classes at VSH and absolutely LOVED the experience!! Jon and Christine have created a wonderfully calm and welcoming environment, and fill the space with their immense knowledge. I greatly enjoyed taking their classes and have gained knowledge that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. I will definitely be returning to the school to take more classes and learn more about herbalism, nutrition, and everything in between! I highly recommend VSH to anyone looking for a beautifully well rounded holistic education.

This school was what I was looking for. I have been a student for over a year and Jons knowledge of herbology and physiology are amazing. Classes were taught with respect and insight that made the course content easily assimilated. Christine was great at facilitating hands on projects to bring the lesson home. What I have learned and am still learning has allowed me to take back control of my and my familys health. I now make tinctures and other products that we use daily. These courses are life changing. Cant even express all the good that has come out of my experiences with The Vitalist!

I am a huge fan of the Vitalist School of Herbology! The beginning herbalist class was incredibly informative. Jon and Christine are both professional and friendly, and their tinctures are top-quality too.

LOVE this school! Over the course of a year Ive learned tons about herbs and physiology. Due to what I learned I have really changed what I eat and how I treat illness. Classes are well-taught and worth every penny. Highly recommend.

I would give VSH more than 5 stars if Google would let me! I have taken various classes at the school since 2009. I have been blown away each time with how much care is put into creating an optimal learning environment by Jon and Christine. I am constantly impressed by Jons knowledge of herbology, botany, the Klamath-Siskiyou bioregion, nutrition, physiology, and various types of alternative healing practices. He not only has the knowledge, but is able to SHARE it in a way that I feel like I really get it. He explains things in a way that makes sense to people with many different levels of experience and knowledge. Christine makes sure that students get lots of hands-on experience and provides beautiful visual aids. They also provide so many resources for independent study, have an amazing library and have an extensive apothecary of medicines made with utmost attention and care. This place has empowered me in my own healing and learning and I cannot recommend it enough!
