Love this place! Erik has tremendous positivity and energy and genuine care about creating better people, not just better actors. He also has very talented and experienced coaches and lots of options for classes and workshops. Definitely recommend!

We are just getting started at Catapult but overall experience has been great. Teachers are knowledgeable & fun. The facilities are outstanding. The only thing keeping me from giving a 5⭐ review is not having a lot of time there yet and the class selection is limited to one session per age group a week. If it doesnt work with your schedule your options are limited.... Update: Time has passed and my son is absolutely enjoying his time here. 5⭐s given!

No matter what level of acting you are in, the coaches will guide you and provide as much support as they can, making sure you get the right tools for success. Whether you are a beginner or experienced, this audition workshop is essential for actors! Every step of the way I felt both Dexter and Arhley and were genuinely invested in my success as an actor! They really took the time to listen and watch each student, offering individually tailored ideas and directions on how to bring our “A Game” to any audition! I feel like I learned so much in 72 hours; from technical specific tips, to how to feel more at ease with tapping into your authentic self in front of the camera. I received a network request audition as I was getting on a plane to Atlanta. I contacted a friend who recommended Catapult and looked them up online. I was able to book a time slot that fit my schedule right on their site. Someone from the studio called to confirm and was super nice.Brittney was wonderful. We ran through a couple of rehearsals, she gave me a quick adjustment and then we nailed the audition in one take. She played it back for me and the quality was fantastic. She sent me a Dropbox link, I uploaded it to the ecocast and I was done for the day! I wish they were located in my area. It sure beats the lonely self-taping perfectionistic home experience. (And yes, I was playing a Karen recording on her phone).There was plenty of free parking, the studio was well equipped and everyone was very friendly. I will be using them whenever I am in Atlanta.

Too much politics in the school there are no guarantees about joining an agency, school is very unprofessional there is no plan to lead the student to a reputable agency.

I took an 8 week class at Catapult this summer, and it was one of the if not the best training experience I’ve had as an actor. Our instructor Joe thoroughly taught us how to break down a script and discover who our characters were. This has helped me beyond measures preparing for a feature film I booked shortly after the class ended. Also, at the end of the class we all got to collaborate and create an improv short film that ended up being the best time I’ve ever had filming. I’ve heard so many great things before I took classes here, and it definitely lived up to my expectations, if not more. I am definitely planning on taking more classes here. And if you are an actor looking for an amazing training opportunity, this is the place to go.

My daughter and I have taken several classes and done headshots at Catapult and plan to do some private coaching. I recommend it highly. A classmate of mine posted an unfavorable review so I felt the need to say that my experience in the exact same class was amazing. In 8 classes with Joe I got a lot of great advice and instruction, a handful of videos for my reel, as well as a short film for my resume. And all I had to do was show up with a positive attitude and practice in between.

Since we have found Catapult, I am just consistently amazed. So many times when we have a positive experience, we dont take time to let people know. This time I felt it would was too important to let the opportunity slip by. My daughter did a coach/tape with Matt this morning for network episodic. He was stellar! What an amazing guy and fantastically skilled coach. What was truly beautiful was his coaching at the end of taping, that wasnt related to the script at all. Catapult consistently brings the lessons learned from their auditions/workshops/classes back to life and personal growth... it is just invaluable to these kids! I heard the owner Erik once say once that he didnt care if any student of his ever got a part again, that roles were the byproduct of the real work they were doing over at Catapult. Ive been taking classes at Catapult for a few years now and I am not disappointed with the quality and training that Ive received. The coaches are always pushing me to be better and give me great direction when I come in for a taping. As a young actor It took a while for me to realize the importance of presenting a good tape. Its not all about acting. The quality of your video shows your level of dedication to the casting director. Catapult does a wonderful job of providing you with a space to make everything come together perfectly. As an aspiring adult actor I was skeptical about choosing catapult since I thought it was a school that primarily catered towards teaching kids, but after attending the Baseline on Camera class with Joe Massingill I realized I was wrong. Joes enthusiasm towards everyones development was awesome to see and be apart of. He was positive and uplifting but always told us what he needed to work on. We did a lot of monologues in front of the camera which was great and we really practiced on building versatility and range. At the end of class we were able to shoot a real scene which was a great experience. I highly recommend this class for any adult thats just starting out!

I used to be happy with catapult. The truth is Eric is more a salesman than anything else. He has no real background in acting, he hasn’t been to school for it and hasn’t acted in anything really himself, but what he’s good at is selling fantasies at the same time he’s convincing you he isn’t selling you anything. He’s really smooth talker. I wonder if the kids he works with who are successful are successful because of him or because they would be successful with any coach and also Eric doesn’t coach much, it’s mainly the other coaches who do all the tapes. What I want to say is this place Charges so much money and you take all these classes but then they can’t even tape your audition because the coaches are never available because they have so many students because they keep taking new kids in their place but there’s no room for more kids. It’s like they can’t keep anyone happy longterm so they keep making up new classes and my kid said Eric always says the same stuff repeatedly in his classes, she never learns anything new. The two stars is for the other coaches there who care and the tapings, but as I already said there’s never taping availability when you need it because they’re too busy accommodating new people and everything gets taken. The taping is good, workshops with outside people are good, but I wouldn’t recommend the classes, it’s all recycled and it’s a race against the clock if you want a seat in the classes lately, and yeah I said they aren’t that great but I do like some of the coaches and maybe they could be great if they’d focus on deepening the material and the growth of each student but instead they just want more students and more students because it’s easier to get new people to commit to 500 bucks than an older student who knows the next class will just be the same with a different name!

Catapult Acting Studios is by far one of the best taping experiences I have ever had. I have auditioned 6 times recently, and every time I go in these guys are prepared and ready to go. I also love the fact that they are also trained actors and great collaborators. I feel like they always give their best and get the best from me in return. I cant recommend Catapult Acting Studios highly enough. If you want to book a role, go see these guys!

I attended the Catapult workshop in Houston for parents of actors and it was tremendous. There was a ton of information shared and it was actionable. We discussed how to maneuver around the industry, what is in your control and what is not, dos and donts, and how to stack the deck in your favor. Erik really put things in perspective and explained the industry which helped me better understand what to expect, why things happen the way they do, and how to handle situations. Leaving the workshop I feel like I understand the industry much better and what I need to do to give my child the best chance to have fun and reach their personal goals.

Catapult is awesome! Scheduling is easy, the location is convenient with plenty of parking and the office has a variety of filming options for your audition needs. If you need coaching they are there for you. Im so happy to have catapult as a career resource.

First off people talking about me in code doesnt work. Bill Asp.... I had a different experience than he DID! Same class doesnt mean we had the same experience. Dont drag anybody else in your review. My experience as a working actor and dealing with other students of the art have to mesh well with me. This place will sell you the dream! Go in knowing what you want from it. My case ended up in court! The instructor that I had was tempermentle and talked more than listening to ideas of the classmates. I actually had a heated argument with Joe because I wanted to feel like I was heard. So as stated before signing up, at the end of the class I would leave with a reel, and that didnt happen. I was put in a cornered place of anger and rage down stairs in one of the larger rooms until someone had to intervene to break us up. This is the side that Erik Lingvall didnt know about; his employer. So I was filled with a bunch of aired out promises to collaborate with my instructor due to a lack of things in class that didnt take place. So due to Joe being under stress my class was paid for in full but my experience wasnt, a good one. Im a paying customer not a verbal punching bag! So Ive been getting the run arounds from other people in the office to resolve my issues yet no one is sincere about what happened to me. Still havent received all my footage till this day (8/2020 just awful!

I first taped with them May 4, 2017, and I taped with them about an hour ago, May 10th. Jack did an awesome job both times with camera and lighting setup, being the reader, as well as editing, labeling and submitting the video files to CMail, and forwarding my agent and I the Dropbox links. This was done very quickly, like 10 minutes after each session. Today I sent them the sides less than 2 hours before the video audition was due.After each scene, I was shown my performance on a TV screen to see if I was happy with it. Only cost $20 for each session if its 15 min and no coaching. If you want coaching, you can purchase a very reasonably priced coaching session with their experienced, working-actor coaches. Summary- they made both my agents and I Happy, both sessions. Highly recommended.
