My children have both attended this school and it has been an absolutely wonderful experience. The warm, loving environment is perfect for young children making their entrance into school. I am continually impressed by what the children are learning. First pres is also unique because of its location - the children are able to walk to The High Museum, MODA, The Alliance Theater, the Symphony and the Library. All of these places have provided a wonderful cultural experience and education that they could not get at any other preschool in Atlanta.

My children have had a wonderful experience at First Presbyterian Preschool, both of them starting as infants in the churchs Parents Morning Out and continuing through the weekday preschool. This school is one of the very few that is SACS/CASI accredited in-town and the only one that has such easy access to the arts with field trips to MODA, The Alliance Theater, and the High Museum. Most importantly my children are happy at the school and have benefited from the loving, nurturing environment provided by the teachers and staff.

This place is amazing. We have really enjoyed sending our children here. Being so close to the High, MODA and Alliance Theater has been very beneficial to our children.

Our experience at First Presbyterian Preschool has been nothing short of amazing. Both of our children have attended the preschool, and we could not be happier with our experience there. We are so fortunate that the preschool has created new partnerships with the High Museum, MODA, The Alliance Theater, something other preschools in Atlanta cant offer.

My family loves this preschool! They have an incredibly caring and engaged faculty and staff. The location in the center of the cultural area of Atlanta makes it so unique and they take advantage of being right next door to the High, MODA, and Woodruff. Would highly recommend the school to other families.

Absolutely hands-down the best preschool in Atlanta. And as a bonus, it is a Reggio school that my kids really enjoy!

Our children have thrived at First Presbyterian Preschool (FPP), which is a wonderful and unique Reggio-inspired school that is welcoming to families of all faiths and backgrounds. If you are doing the Atlanta preschool tour circuit, FPP is a must see school.Children at FPP are nurtured in an atmosphere of respect, responsibility and community, while learning through exploration and discovery in a supportive and enriching environment. FPPs unique location allows it to have collaborations with the Alliance Theatre, the High Museum, MODA, and the Atlanta Public library. Also, the Adaptive Learning Center partners with FPP, creating an inclusive learning environment that fosters invaluable social and emotional lessons for all of the children.

Weve been in love with this school since 2009 when my eldest started mothers morning out at the church. We toured other preschools in Buckhead before deciding that moving onto FPP would be the right decision for our family. The Reggio curriculum is such a good match for preschool learners and now that our kids are in traditional elementary school, we can also say that FPPs approach does a fantastic job of preparing the children for Kindergarten and beyond. It isnt just abcs and 123s, but also the social and behavioral aspect that is instilled at the earliest of ages. Our kids walked into elementary school with great confidence and never looked back. Some things that we think set FPP apart from some of the others:1. the teachers blogs and weekly picture email updates: if you have kids like mine that wont tell you what they do at school, the pictures are awesome at painting a picture of everything the children do during the day I think some preschools have realized how awesome this is and have started doing it too.2. The little extras like a kiln in the atelier (art studio) and an adorable science lab with bunnies, turtles, fish, and even a tarantula!3. The proximity and partnerships with MODA, the Alliance, the Atlanta library and High Museum4. The incredible staff and teachers - everyone knows the names of all the children, even if theyve never taught them before!5. Carpool for all classes. You dont know how important that is until you have a newborn and then have to walk your two year old into class and have the carry the baby along too. Carpool is so much easier!6. All classes have the ability to go until 1pm T-F (K goes until 1 every day) with the option to stay until 2 for 3s+ if you sign up for extracurriculars through the church. I mention this bc some schools have super early release for the youngest kiddos.7. Great parents and new lifelong friends!8. Every class has a Promethean board which introduces the child to technology and gives the teachers the ability to do some really cool things, but by no means is the program technology-centric.Tip: the Kindergarten program is a fully accredited K class, and not many 1/2 day preschools can say the same!
