Great school! My son is one of very few African American boys at the Middle School and has been since he started in 4th grade. However, that has NEVER negatively impacted his academic or social experience. Id like parents of African American boys and young men to seriously consider this school as an option for private school. The students and faculty are very inclusive, responsive and progressive. Im a California native and a product of an excellent public school system, unfortunately that is not the case in Atlanta. Lovett, will not only challenge your child academically, it instills character traits parents can take pride in: empathy, kindness, consideration, humility, and a positive regard for ALL people.

Excellent !Having been a teacher in the 1990s as well as a parent, my experience at the Lovett School was wonderful in every way.From the academic quality to the loving care of the students ......this is an excellent choice for an incredible educational experience.

The value of Lovett is in the statement from my 9th grader. My son was asked a question at a seminar, what would you do with a billion dollars. Without hesitation he paraphrased a quote from Emerson, ....I would give majority of my billions away - donate to The Lovett School because the values Ive learned about giving, I realize It is one of the most beautiful compensations of life that no man can sincerely try to help another without helping himself.”
