My girlfriend has had a really tough couple of years as a teacher and her experience with The Ron Clark Academy has been so good for her. Between her three-day conference this weekend and her virtual support system in Club RCA, this academy has been vital to her career and encouraging her to press forward in spite of the many challenges of being a teacher. The inspiration and mental/spiritual renewal that this place offers cannot be understated.

I learned about the Ron Clark Academy from the movie The Ron Clark Story. An excellent movie and moving account of his educational passion for students to learn and be whoever they want to be!

Ron Clark Academy is the embodiment of a dream school of professionals who go above and beyond their job descriptions to make learning absolutely enjoyable. The teachers are all remarkably expertise of their respected fields and many of them wear many hats at RCA. There is a great sense of camaraderie among the staff members and how they pour into every student and support their family members...which is so beautiful that it feels like youre indeed surrounded by family. Words cannot merely convey just how blessed my family were to have witnessed the unconditional, relentless, dedication, love, and empowerment of the staff members drive for each student. The staff are nothing short of amazing and if you are ever blessed to attend any of the teacher trainings and tour the Ron Clark Academy you will be astounded beyond your imagination. Ron Clark Academy is preparing young scholars not just for the next level but they are preparing them for a lifetime. How do I know this? Because I am a proud RCA Alumni parent and my daughter (who is definitely NOT a dancer lol) will tell anyone that Mr. Clark, Mrs. Bearden, the late Mr. Ken Townsel and too many others to name...are the reasons that she was able to move from Atlanta Ga to the Midwest and soar not only academically but also on social and professional levels. Her teachers were astounded by her charisma, ethics, mannerism, professionalism, and hunger to learn. Once again, I cant convey enough just how amazing The Ron Clark Academy is...Sincerely a Transparent Ron Clark Academy Alumni Parent & Former Student

This is the student demographics for the Ron Clark Academy. One Hispanic student out of their entire student body. This is a non profit school that is funded by a diverse group of sponsors and donors. They have received hundreds of application from Hispanic kids during their years in operation and yet they currently only have one Hispanic student. Ill be looking into this. All kids deserves a FAIR chance to be part of this school. Im blessed that my son has other options but what about the other Hispanic kids who dont. I hope the local media gets involved. We need to get to the bottom of this.Update: I just got responses from several local news channels and Hispanic organizations so the ball is rolling.

Tough reviewing this school... an incredible experience! Yes, a lot of what they do is unorthodox, and yes, the students may have been prepped for visitors, but nonetheless, this is simply one of the coolest, eye-opening experiences to date for me! Ron and his crew take teaching in a different direction, where students are the stakeholders of their education. Thats something I have never seen, and do not expect to soon, though it is my new long-term objective in my teaching career!

I can not say enough awesome things about this school! My child has been here for only one and half semester and I see a tremendous amount of growth academically. The staff are really great and really seem to care about all of the students. I am so happy to have finally found a school that myself and child both really enjoy coming to. Looking forward to the projective growth from the facility so that more students will have the opportunity to be a part of this school.

Enthusiasm, incredibly creative lessons, excitement, and hard work make this school a number one successful school. Every child should have the privilege of getting an education like this! Thank you for letting school staff visit. I took back many ideas to my classroom.

It saddens me to see negative comments about the children singing and dancing. Please consider some children are blessed with the gift of music, movement and persuasion. Often times its so strong that this is their only safe place mentally. When this is the case and it comes out, they are labeled as problematic inpublic school systems.Thank you RCA staff and parents for recognizing and embracing all types of learning differences. Thank you staff for being the outkast of educators and administrators that are unable to follow the society standard of education.RCA taught my child to push himself past his comfort zone unapologetically. Afterall, comfort is the killer of success.

Enjoyed observations, not an ordinary school. Left with a few good ideas, but I felt like it was mostly a tour, an expensive tour. I enjoyed seeing the use of best practices during observations, but I also wanted actual instructional time from the teachers. Dont get me wrong you are able to ask questions in the sessions, but the ones that I really wanted to get more information about for example, engagement, were cut very short because of the transition timing. some of the teachers were only able to give us two or three strategies that they used instead of being able to give us more information about how to initiate these practices at the beginning of the year.

As an educator myself, I cant begin to tell you how inspiring the story behind Ron Clark academy is. Its wonderful to see there are folks out there that go beyond just wishing about how they want schools to be! The founders created a school the way they want a school to be! They understand that HOW WE TEACH MATTERS AS MUCH AS WHAT WE TEACH! Very cool! Wish we had more game changers in this educational world.

We did the 2 day visit with a small group from our school and I can honestly say this was the best educational experience of my life! We came away with such an incredible amount of inspiration, motivation, and information that will help our students achieve as we apply what was learned. The students are really what make this so different that any other professional development experience. If you are in education, going to be in education, or just want to see a future of possibilities I would encourage you to make visiting RCA a top goal of yours. You will not be disappointed!

Hello, I called to see if I could tour this gifted and talented school, perhaps meet the owner because I was so impressed with the videos that I seen of the school and their creative way of incorporating the arts into learning for disadvantaged income kids. I was told that youre required to take a one day workshop minimum in order to tour or visit the school. The one day workshop is $450, two day workshop is $900, which is too expensive for my income at the moment. Im very unhappy with what was said and was told that it was like that due to the safety of the kids. Thats why you run a background check on all potential visitors duh. Anyway, they knocked themselves of a financial donation when I get my settlement through court from a case. Good Day people...

The school was visually impressive and it appeared very secure. However, when I attempted to gain access to the administrative office/staff via telecom located at the front gate, I was immediately (and rudely) sent away. The office manager (Ms. Mosely), told me that there werent any materials about Ron Clark on site and that I had to go online for everything, including getting my questions asked. When I asked Ms. Mosely if there was anyone on-site that I could talk to about the school, her reply was No. Given how brusk the response was, I initially assumed that I had misheard her. In response to my Excuse me? she said No, theres no one here for you to talk to. So, apparently, there wasnt a single admisitrator available for me to ever talk to (I was not offered an alternate time to return or given the option to arrange a phone consultation), not even the office manager with whom I was already speaking to via telecom. And, just like that I was dismissed.Ive been visiting private schools in the local area, and my experience as a prospective parent has never been so degrading. Having taken the time to physically present at the school only to be shunned away at the front gate was disturbing. I understand that safety for the students is paramount; however, that does not exonerate administrative staff from their need to provide respectful treatment to visitors interested in learning more about their school.V/R,-Dr. Ball
