I would say that Bright Futures is a good school for kids. Depending on how they act. For me I wasnt a good student, but by going to that school it helped me get more serious about my work and grades. Id say that they have the right amount of resources to give you a head start. Depending on what you want to do in the future determines if you should stay or not. If you want to study abroad or not go to college I would recommend changing schools during the summer of 9th grade. Not because they are bad but because you dont want your credits to mess up. I would always hear that public schools are so bad but when I finally left to go to a public school I saw that there were so many opportunities to choose from like debate, ROCT, band etc. So if your child has like listening problems or anger issues that school will get them right lol. The teachers there are great and they will help you if they see that your willing to change. So I can promise you that your child will change a lot in a good way. Fair warning though, although it is a christian school it has its ups and downs. Make sure you know who your kids hang around at that school. Simply because its easy to get caught up with boys and drama there. In the 9th grade it was hard because I was the only girl and I had to adjust and take in all of the negative comments etc, so make sure that you are caught up with what goes on in that school. Also I recommend that you drive them to school. Please dont take the bus and if they do make sure your child sits in the front.

My child has been attending this school for the last three years. Traditional school wasnt challenging her. The owners of the school, Philip and Gail ensures that the students are well provided for academically and socially. Socially, the kids are given the opportunity to participate in field trips that equip them for life which are not available at traditionally schools. Academically, the classroom are small and the teachers are able to devote more time with them. One of the best thing I love about this school is the care provided the students once they graduate. The school continues to support the graduates financially and socially once they enroll in post-secondary schools. This type of support is needed and welcomed. Thanks to the team at Bright Futures Academy for all you do for our kids.

If you want your child to have a superior education, a small classroom environment where they will feel safe and secure, then you want them to attend Bright Futures Academy. At this school your child will be pushed to be better, do better and to excel. The founders, principal, staff and teachers love the kids and feel called by God to serve here. What more could you ask for?

Very strict and structured environment, but loving at the same time. Works well for kids and parents who are fed up with the bedlam of the local public schools, but students and parents must be ready for the rigidness. I personally LOVE IT!

My Daughter was Excited to attend the School until she was sexually harassed I pressed charges. They did not give the young man any consequences at the school. He is currently still attending the school. They see no wrong done by this young man in this situation. They have now put my daughter out of school pertaining to this situation. The principal told me that i do not provide enough parental support for my child to attend their school. My daughter was excited about attending the school , until she was sexually harassed by a yoong

My younger siblings are academically learning more than what i learned at their age. It is evident that they will excel freshmen year of college.

Run far away from this fraud of a school. Gail has the worst attitude and talk to everyone as if they are incompetent. They offer no extracurricular activities, and have mandatory after school where the kids are only allowed to play no homework is allowed to be completed my daughter comes home 6 and stays up later because she has to do homework. Philip is no better than his wife. So much could be said but just stay away!!!!

This school sucks!! Dont send no kids here they are the worst. Not great teachers, staff. Principle is the worst, very disrespectful. Not a Christian based school. No tuturing for kids thst may have learning challenges. The founder Gail and Phillip really care more about the money than our black babies. And the school sits right in the heart of the inner city, where they recruit our kids and tell them they helping when there not. I have started a law suit and need all parents aboard. Our kids education does matter.

The owners of this school are only out to capitalize on the African American community. It is ran like a cult they want your child to be at that school at all times. Since they dont offer afterschool sports or tutoring, your child is left to play games at the place they call afterschool. They dont not focus on making them do homework. So after they get out at 6pm. The kids have to come home and do homework. My children wanted to do cheerleading. It was always a problem for them to leave before 6pm. When practice started at 6pm, So now they havent done their home work and they go to cheer practice til 8pm. Leaving them stuck to do homework at 830 or maybe 9pm. These people will let your child go there only to get money for their attendance. The want to put on a front so they can continue getting government monies to fund their lifestyle.
