Ive been a body worker for well over 20 years specializing in deep tissue work. I took my first SMRT class for continuing ed recently. It was a three day class. usually, after about a day and a half, I just want to go home. Not with this, and with Ms Lewis! When the class was over on Sunday, I wanted MORE. There were some extra teachers in the room, and their individual attention during lab work was very helpful. Their comments and suggestions were very specific, so I could know what I was doing and what I should be doing. The instructor had great classroom management skills, and an ability to explain in ways that ever student could understand. I cant wait for my next class from Full Circle.

SMRT changed the way I do bodywork. I use this modality and its principles in every session. Listening to Dawn speak on the human body is mesmerizing. Kathy and Patty are great too. They are all so knowledgeable, and I always leave classes knowing I learned something valuable and that I can apply and practice immediately. For practicing therapists, I highly recommend the continuing ed. For those looking for a massage school, having SMRT under your belt right out the gate is the best thing you can do to set yourself up for success!

I took a continuing ed. class in Kansas City a little over a year ago and it completely changed my practice. Its reduced the amount of time it takes me to loosen the individual muscles and my clients state my work is less painful than other therapists. The word of mouth advertising I receive by my clients referring their friends has more than covered the cost of classes. I am adding clients weekly. Sometimes two or three new clients a week. The SMRT technique is amazing and I couldnt have asked for better instructors.

This school is worth driving 6 hours to get continuing education. They are friendly and proffesional and always eager to share the knowledge I have been searching for to improve my bodywork skills.

The techniques taught by Dawn and her staff are absolutely the best in this field. Easier on the massage therapist and more effective for the client. The knowledge that just flows from Dawn is easy to understand and remember long after the classes are over. I’ve found Dawn Lewis’s SMRT technique to be invaluable to my Manual Therapy practice. I use it daily and fits with the PTSD focused treatments I currently use. It’s effective and calming and keeps me objective when assessing the body’s posture, anatomy, and nervous system regulation. I can’t say enough about Dawn and her team. The classes are always full which says a lot about her teaching, especially in when the ease of online education is tempting. This is a valuable tool that all professionals who have a license to touch could use.

I took my first continuing ed class with Dawn Lewis in February 2018 and it revolutionized my practice. SMRT is extremely effective at releasing tight muscles and tendons and the results last much longer than traditional modalities. Clients go into a really deep space with this work. Once you learn the principles of this technique you can apply it to any muscle in the body.

Dawn Lewis is one of the best massage educators I have ever trained with. She and her teaching staff are so knowledgeable and they are outstanding teachers and communicators. Full Cirlce method of teaching is both comprehensive and thorough as well as clear and well explained. Even when dealing with complex material, they are able to break it down clearly. My work as a massage therapist has been greatly affected by taking classes with Dawn and i find that I use what Ive learned from Dawn constantly.

I have taken all of the basic classes and 2 of the advanced classes. Dawn is by far the best instructor I have had and is very knowledgeable! SMRT (Spontaneous Muscle Release Technique) is the most effective technique I have studied and use of it has changed my practice in every way. The clients love it as it is gentle and relaxing to receive but releases soft tissue at the deepest level while being easy on the therapist to use. This technique not only releases muscles, tendons & ligaments but also moves lymph fluid as well. I have used this technique for acute injuries (ie.... sprained ankle) and witnessed the swelling decrease by half by the end of the session where any other technique could not be used because the injury was SO recent that the area could not be touched except by using SMRT. I cannot say enough good things about this technique and highly encourage everyone to look into it.

I started taking SMRT classes in February of 2018. The work has been a tremendous asset to my practice. The lecture and hands on work in each class make the subtle work of SMRT come alive. Youll be amazed what you can do for your clients and not put your own body at risk. I strongly encourage all body working professionals (this work goes way beyond just being massage therapists) to take these classes. They are offered is most states.
