Awesome place to learn, I never thought I would come back to study after 14 years being away from school. In my age of school there were not much educational opportunities with easy access. The instructors and support members are there to show you the path, its up to you how you go on your journey whether learning or just chilling. I hope I get through this and achieve what I have come for.Thanks to everyone at Pickens

Would not recommend this school! The teacher just read from a power point the whole year and didnt provide any additional information. She was rude and didnt speak good English. She would always give negative feedback never positive and her approach to teaching didnt give us any learning opportunities. Now that I have finished school it is taking the school 2 months to get me my paperwork so I can take the state exam!

This review is long over due- I enrolled in their high school program in 2012 and it was the worse. I didnt learn anything. They didnt even bother to make sure we all understood the work. The teachers always only tried to fit in with the cool kids and joked around. Anyways this was in 2012 I hope the program improved since then.

Kevin Simpson the operations director is very rude and very unprofessional. I do know how the school keeps or get students if that’s the the way the director of a school treats people. Thanks have a great day.

Pickens Technical college will opportunity to learn skills to get in the trade work force. And for the price and the teachers are there because they love teaching.

Pickens is a really great school with very knowledgeable instructors. I did my LPN program here together with my wife ( both LPNs now working towards our RN). She got pregnant during school and the instructors were really understanding and supporting. We really had a great experience and I will recommend this school any day, anytime to anyone whos considering taking up classes over there. And Oh ITS VERY AFFORDABLE!

The Automotive Technology program is amazing. It covers everything you need to know in order to get a great beginning to intermediate level job in the industry. Mr. Martin and Mr. Werner are INCREDIBLE instructors that care about their students. However, Mr. Slaughter needs to be removed from the program. He is a good instructor, teaching wise... but he knows absolutely NOTHING about the automotive industry and has 0 experience working in a shop. From my understanding, they only hired him because 1 year classes are always so big they need to split it between Mr. Werner and Mr. Slaughter. It’s not fair to the kids who get Mr. Slaughter. I loved him as a teacher and he was very nice and helpful but he has no buisness being in an automotive based program

My son is a Junior in Aurora, CO. I stopped in to check out the programs. A counselor was available to answer all my questions. I set up a time to look at the programs with my son to look at his options. Very Professional. KE

Great prices for the services. I see different people until I find my favorites and ask for them specifically. Instructors are watchful and around when the students need assistance. Ive had condition, wash and sets numerous times here. Ive also had a facial. I heard their back facials are wonderful but I havent tried it yet. Even better prices if youre a student here.

Pickens is a Good College

Pickens Tech Salon: Went in for a simple haircut. She layered my hair while it was parted down the middle (I part it on the side), I had asked for her to part it before she layered...I ended up with a botched haircut, layers were horribly done, one side was not layered at all due to her leaving it parted down the middle. Completely uneven along the bottom, not even counting how uneven the layers were. I understand theyre students, but when shes less than a month from graduating, I would expect the bottom to at least be even...

I was registered in the graphic design program as a concurrent enrollment student my senior year. The office people were always very helpful with everything that I needed, and my teacher was fantastic and always willing to work with me. I am so glad I got the opportunity to go here.

Absolutely terrible school. I signed up for automotive year 1 since on their website it said it would be one of these 2 instructors whom both had 20+ years of experience and all of their ase certifications. But I got put with some idiot teacher who has 0 experience in teaching and doesn’t even have any of his ase’s. I had to teach him how to actually operate a lift within the 1st week of class. Total scam and a waste of money. If you actually want a decent education, take your money elsewhere. Hands down the worst tech school in Colorado.

Do not enroll in the respiratory therapy program if you have a disability because the program staff will discriminate against you.
