My brother was days away from death needing a liver transplant. By the grace of whatever you believe in a donor was found. Which the decision of a family to let their family member go, in order for our family to keep him was something that I could not thank them for enough, ever! The staff during my brothers time there was extraordinary! The ICU nurses were absolutely amazing!! My brother had a rough go and was in and out of ICU for 3 weeks. The nurses got him through it, physically and mentally!! To all of the nurses that cared for my brothers thank you!!! But of course to his transplant team, thank you for allowing me to keep my little brother around!! I hope life gives you all the best in life for what you do!!!

Went to visit a family member who was ill and needed surgery. Google Maps directed me to the back of the hospital where there were like six different buildings and several parking area. I finally drove all the way to the front and went it thru main entrance. Once inside it was even more confusing to get around. 5 different elevators to different parts of the hospital. After much confusing I was able to find my relative prior to surgery. The nurse told me what procedures they were doing and even took my name and number down. I returned home. After surgery I received 2 separate phone calls from both surgical teams. That was outstanding 👏. I have never been more impressed by a medical team and this one. Thank you for your care and understanding of families.

Due to COVID-19, and how full hospitals are right now, only 1 visitor per day(per every 24 hours) are allowed inside either the ER, and/or the actual Hospital. You cant trade the visitor badge either. So, while one 1 family member was inside with the patient, I sat in the crowded and small waiting room in the ER. 3/4 of the people trying to get admitted into the ER, were people with COVID ( and I am not kidding). Only 1/4 of them were vaccinated. People they had to tell their symptoms to the admitting nurse that was standing guard there screening people, asking about their symptoms, etc., They had to state if they had been vaccinated as well. He was absolutely INCREDIBLE! Anyway, 3/4 of those walking in had COVID. I knew this was real, but to actually see it with my own eyes. WOW! Only 1/4 had been vaccinated. The same thing pertained to the hospital the next day. Only 1 person in the hospital. I had to wait OUTSIDE. Luckily I brought a hat, coat, and gloves. Hats off to our Healthcare Workers! They definitely are working so hard! Grateful to them for taking care of my family member, who was not there for COVID. It took 8 hours for my family member to get assigned a room. They had to wait in the ER over 8 hours. All the hospitals are overflowing. Please take care of yourself, thats all I will say. Thank you.

My son suffers from severe seizures. He has been scheduled to go to UC Health Anschutz a total of 5 times for an Epilepsy Monitoring Unit Procedure. The Neurology Department has canceled my sons appointment all 5 times prior to the appointment. They cancel a week prior or days prior to the procedure. My son is in and out of the hospital. His health condition is life and death matter. I personally feel they are refusing to treat him because he is a black male. I am 100 percent positive that if he was a Caucasian that he would be seen IMMEDIATELY! Rhonda D. practically told me that they would never allow this procedure for my son. This hospital should be thoroughly investigated. Unbelievable how they discriminate and play with human life. Shame on the entire Neurology department. Rhonda and Tracey are disgraceful. The health care system has failed us. Anschutz what gives you all the right to discriminate against anyone? I promise you that I will bring NATIONAL attention to this matter.

Intern didnt take my blood right when I told her I had spidery veins and perfered my medicine by mouth (i asked to get my medicine orally and was denied by nurse Leah) which resulted in a bruised arm from having to try twice. I went to UC health with a heart attack. They did not monitor my heart nor did they preform any tests aside from an abnormal EKG. They determined that after less than one hours it was anxiety once they got the tropini test. It can take three house before you get a positive topoini test. Meanwhile, while the nurses were not paying attention my heart rate was rapidly without any coordination fluctuating from 120-85. At one point my o2 stat dropped to 85. As the nurse finally returned with discharge papers I told her what was going on and she said its just anxiety. I have a history of myocardial infarction. Im welcome for an anxiety diagnosis only after a thorough cardiac work up because Im now sitting at home with worsening symptoms and Im left wondering did these doctors just let me come home to die. Its a clear case of discrimination because i have mental illness. I called them and told them what happened and they brushed me off. Basically said so what you want me to do about. Im not sure what to do because they dont want to help. Begged them for a ride back to the hospital. Im not sure insurance will cover another ambulance on the same day for the same thing. I asked them to send me a car but they refused. They dont want to take responsibility. They didnt even advise.e to come back in to do a full cardiac work up. Im know I have an arrhythmia based on the monitor and possible still experiencing a heart attack. So Im going to call and get a ride to the hospital at my own expense and then I am going to sue them.

Avoid coming here at all costs! They will charge you $1,000s for nothing. I had a procedure done here that was completely non-invasive, took 20 minutes, and did not resolve my issue in any way. It cost nearly $3K. I have insurance and this single visit cost the majority of my deductible for the year on my HSA HDHP plan.I had the same procedure done previously in Boulder with more care and attention for ~$200.This office will double-bill you for the doctor and their facilities, even for a standard office visit. I attempted to call various billing departments to address this and 1) they do not communicate internally, and are not aware of the extent they are double billing you, and 2) will stand firm on their billing practices regardless of anything you say or any mismatch between the bill and the level of care you received.Avoid coming here if you have any other option. This offices top priority is billing you as much as possible, not solving your medical issues.

She said it takes 45 min to get in the system. I repeated it been over an hour and if she can see if hes there or ok or any info that may help.. then she got really annoyed. I just asked, Please will you check and let me know what we can do (percautions covid... Stable , etc) and gave his first name. Initially she said . No we dont have anyone with that name...how would she know? Just with his first name! With out a last name? still. Anyway I then asked if she knew where they may take someone who lived in that area if they didnt end up at University hospital... She said, No, no I dont .And we arent affiliated with any other hospitals.l so I couldnt tell you where they took him. I said. Can you yell me the names of a few hospitals in the area maybe? Or can you put me on the phone with someone who can point me the right direction. She says... No Im the ONLY ONE HERE THAT CAN ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS! WTH? IM BAFFLED! THIS IS SO UNPROFESSIONAL ... When scheduler called me I asked if I was making a recurring appointment for PT? She said that this is a one-time therapy appointment, for 20min and I needed to make the next appointments later. She didnt mention that was not a PT I was making appointment with different doctor. On the day of that appointment, I went to the hospital. First I saw a nurse. I was confused. I told her I was there for a PT. But she said that she wasnt sure whats going on and she would call a provider to see me. When provider came (the surgeon) he opened my chart. He explained to me that the provider who gave me the referral for some reason canceled the PT and left the wrong referral active. He activated the right referral for PT and I left. I didnt need to see a surgeon. Why should I pay for their mistake?I emailed customer service over 3 weeks ago. No one replied to me or contacted me to resolve this. Instead I got a call (3 times) from schedulers and a letter to make an appointment for PT. I am looking forward to canceling all my upcoming follow-up appointments with this clinic and find providers somewhere else.

My husband was then moved to the proper hospital for further tests. It was like staying in a five stars hotel. The room was very spacious , stylish with a fantastic view. I had been previously diagnosed with a herniated disc with spinal cord impingement but those symptoms had resolved over time. After a very brief physical exam, the doctor told me that she feared it might be another herniated disc. Yet, she gave me nothing for the pain other than a lidocaine patch and an order for PT, none of which was going to bring me relief from the pain I went to the ER for. I left the hospital in the same amount of pain as I entered there with. With instructions to just take Aleve for the pain, which I told the doctor that the Aleve wasnt touching the pain. I believe the Drs need to have more training since apparently you cant get any help. I will never set foot back in that hospital because they dont care about you at all. They just want a paycheck. Thats so sad. I would rank this hospital the worst for how I was treated. I went back tonight June 16th because I found out that I have 4 slipped discs. The pain is absolutely debilitating. They did nothing for me but want to give me steroids. I waited for over an hour just to get a room and was out in 5 minutes after that. When my day/afternoon nurse left, no one came to inform me who my new nurse! I had called in for a ivy flush at 8, I waited 15 mins no responds. A different nurse come to ask if everything was okay, I informed her I asked for an ivy change if she could possible do it or help get a nurse. She said she’s be back and almost 30 mins by. My ivy was filled with blue to the point it cause the ivy to clog. She flushed it and the pain was unbearable! She nicely took the ivy out but let the second build with blood. I called for a nurse after almost 2 hours of first flush. Within the two hours no vitals where taking or no check in. I called on the remote for a nurse as my call was ignored. I passionately waited as I know there where elders in for heart procedures as well! After almost 30 mins went by ago no one came. I look and no nurses where in sight. I asked them to remove the ivy so I could wait for my ride to get me. They would not remove it as they thought I would leave the building. After I informed them my ride was there and coming in they still refused to take it out till a security office had to tell them to take it out! Security and day/afternoon nurses are amazing at the University! The night shift is rude, disrespectful and chat more then check in and take vitals. Wishing the 3-4 hrs of my nurse leaving n me signing to leave I was not hooked up to any vital takers or monitors. With the 4 hrs after this heart procedure how much could’ve went wrong with them not checking in? I left in sobbing because of the way I was tired tonight! I, Victoria Armstrong, had pressure and sharp chest pains the morning of Aug 17th 2020. I was able to communicate with UC Health my issues. I requested for an apt with a doctor that day. UC Health told me I needed to go to ER instead due to possible heart attack. I was in ER for aprox 4 hours and got a bill that came to aprox 9k with very little attention from UC Health’s staff and no resolution while at ER. Tests were ran. My heart was ok but the pain and pressure persisted for three days and no one could tell me what was wrong with me. Paying for services I received is not a problem. But to categorize those services as a level 5 emergency and charge a fee of $6900 for those services already rendered is unethical and price gouging. Now my bill is placed with a collections law firm less than a year later after my visit. UC health only cares about the money and not how the patient is doing. What they are doing is price gouging and saying the level 5 fee is normal. I want my account removed from this threatening, uncaring, heartless, unprofessional law firm (Edmunds and Gouge) and placed with UC Health. I want to reach a settlement where I can make payments. I’m still having the same health issues but my experience with UCH led me not to want to go to the doctor in fear of unjustly charged bills. How dare I be sent to collections knowing I experienced something so traumatic with no resolution. Is the plan for me to end up in ER again so I can be charged more money? Placing a medical account in collections should be carefully placed with the right agency. Talking to this agency or so called law firm brought back the same symptoms that landed me in ER. I received No empathy and unfair treatment from the law firm UC Health hired. Do what’s right UC Health and focus on the care of your patients instead of opportunities to make more money.

The medical study staff were incredible and I met even more of the surgical staff having over 10 surgeries within a two year time span. Ive also met with dermatologists and genetic testing staff, who all have been very warm and welcoming.Any negative experiences Ive had are par for the course with medical facilities, such as needing to arrive early to find parking and having to book appointments a month or two out. So long as you have those expectations going in, you will not be disappointed with your experience. Also, working for a health insurance company myself I know that many of the billing issues are not the fault of the hospital but are usually just miscommunications between the hospital and insurance company.I enjoyed the experience at the hospital so much Ive switched my primary care doctor to be within the UCHealth system and have never been happier.

Doctors and nursing staff were all excellent, professional and caring. Food and food service was top of the line. I only had one post surgical experience in the below ground level, windowless room where I was placed for two days. I was forced to complain until I got a room above ground level on the Cardio floor (8).

My mother is currently at university. I myself am a bit of a helicopter kid as I have worked in health care for my whole career. I am very involved in my mother care. The team on the 10th floor has been amazing to work with. From the doctors who have been working diligently to help my mother to the nursing staff who have taken my 50 million calls per day. Rachel, Rory, Austin, Petra, Hailey, and Molly have all been so fantastic with letting me know what is going on, very attentive to my mothers needs, helping in anyway they can, and such positive attitudes. I cant say enough about them. Thank you for all you have done to care for my mother.

First, when scheduling my appoint mentioned I was quoted an out of pocket consultation fee of $250 (out of network, non-covered procedure for my insurance) . No problem. I received a reminder phone call a couple days in advance of the appointment and they stated their was a mistake on the quoted fee and that it would be $320. Ok, mistakes happen.I live a 1.5 hour drive (one way) from the appointment location, the person who scheduled my appointment gave me the address of their south office, which was 30 minutes from their northeast office. I called them to inform them and they wanted to cancel my appointment all together! No way! Thats e hours out of my day wasted, plus gas and mileage only to have to repeat it! But they finally agreed to take me because the doctor was running behind schedule anyways.Appointment comes and goes, a couple weeks later I get an email saying that that I owe them over $800 (in addition to having g paid them the $320 at the time of my appointment)! Hell NO! Cutting it short, after providing my debit card receipts they finally agree I owe them $0.This places processes are all screwed up and untrustworthy! I would not trust their doctors to do any kind of surgery or treatment on me!

I had a good experience with the exception of parking. I had no idea where to park and the the UC health campus is huge. There needs to be better signs and directions where to park. Fortunately, the guy in the big golfcart not only assisted me but gave me a ride to the building i needed to go to for my appointment. The people and guards at the entrance were both kind and mindful to keep everyone protected.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR PRECIOUS TIME AND ENERGY COMING TO UCH!!!!!! I DISCHARGED AMA FROM THIS GROSSLY NEGLIGENT HOSPITAL. I am a TYPE 1 DIABETIC and these professionals allowed my glucose TO CLIMB FROM 187 (a Monday night) TO 758 (a Wednesday morning)!!! There is simply NO EXCUSE for that!!! There were other VERY SERIOUS THINGS, TOO NUMEROUS TO MENTION.Again, I discharged AMA and drove STRAIGHT TO ST. JOES - WHERE THEY KNOW HOW TO PROPERLY CARE FOR A PATIENT.Make your own choice - but based on my experience (PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE).

We are visiting your hospital for a heart transplant work up. We were promised my caregiver would be able to go back with me for EVERY test & consult. The very first test of this 3 day work up & my wife/caregiver was REFUSED the ability to go back with me even after I told them I needed her to go with me.To site Covid restrictions makes no sense as she’s been quarantined with me the entire time so whatever I’m exposed to so is she. This is completely unethical & violates the hippocratic oath to “do no harm” as this causes unnecessary mental stress on me to be separated from my caregiver during this process. Then when we call to speak to someone we get nowhere, further proving how little you truly care about your patients.

ER visit was a disaster. Doctors don’t know what they are doing, NP don’t know what they are doing. Came to the ER feeling better then when I got discharged. Doctors and NP are not qualified to be called such valuable titles, they are destroying the reputation of other knowledge Doctors. They will literally make you sicker and worsen you reasons for coming to the ER in the first place. Please save your health and time get treatment elsewhere.

I drove myself to the emergency room early on Aug 13 because I was having chest pains. The people that greet you were kind, however once you step into the room - nurses, techs - no one talks to you or tells you what is going on. Ended up having an extreme panic/anxiety attack. Saw the Dr for less than 10 min- he was young with poor bedside manner. Said I was far too young for a heart attack. I’m 36 - in this world anything can happen. Overall, in and out in maybe 30 min and got slapped with a 3k bill. Beware.

Having used the UCH health system for over 20 years, my experiences and health care have been excellent. However, much has been dependent on the individual patient provider relationship. About four years ago, my primary care provider changed. I have been much less satisfied with the newly assigned primary care provider. As a result, my wife and I both changed to a different health care system in Colorado which is providing better health care experiences. We felt the UCH system has become compartmentalized and institutionalized. The patient to provider relationship, in our experience, has become impersonal and rigid in the services and health care advice/options offered.

Poudre Valley Hospital was a fantastic place to have my elbow surgery. The nursing staff was friendly and caring, everything went smoothly, the surgeon was incredible, and I was able to go home 3 1/2 hours after the surgery. I felt completely safe with their Covid 19 protocols. I would highly recommend them.

Incredibly crowded in comparison to other hospitals in the area during this time. No room to social distance throughout lobby and elevators, even the parking lot was crazy! Much prefer appointments at Parker Adventist vs UC, or UC appointments at smaller stand alone facilities.

I have been going here a few years... Just had a Colonoscopy. Have had other surgerys here. I have been to various hospitals around Colorado... from Ft. Carson, Colorado Springs and Denver Metro from Golden to Aurora and places in-between.This is the ONLY place I want to go when I need medical attention! My father in law also came here when he had cancer and he has beaten it Twice! It was taking him here that peaked my interest. They have family practices here... so I made my Primary Care out of University.I have NO IDEA what all of the complaints are about... my experiences, many over the last 9 years... 6 out of 5 Stars! NO B.S.! Fantastic Hospital that I will MISS when I move back east.If anyone from University it reading this.... THANK YOU! Thank you for taking care of my family. We Love You!!!!

My daughter gave birth to a little baby boy in Saturday morning and I must say that the nurses working in labor and delivery are amazing as are the midwives. My daughter wanted an all natural birth and not once was medication pushed on her and when she thought she couldnt do it, every single nurse in that room would tell her she could do it and how strong she was and they encouraged her with not only their words but their actions too. They were nothing short of amazing!! Truly the best of the best and I couldnt be more grateful... When they say there are angels loving amongst us, they are talking about these nurses... Thank you so much for all you do....

This hospital like others around the country, do not care about family members of the patients that are passing. A person should always have the right to tell their loved ones good bye. It should not be one person every 24 hours, it should be one at a time. It is a shame that this country is letting the government take their rights away.
