Overall this is an amazing school. All the staff members are always there for you and they always strive to go above and beyond the call of duty. The school in general is a fun environment to actively retain and learn all the necessary aspects of the type of trade you are trying to obtain. I wish all higher learning schools would be like this school. The Instructors are so knowledgeable and so patient with every student on the right teaching method so everyone can feel like they are learning. I have never felt so accepted at a place even though I had no knowledge what so ever of the materials being taught. They hire only the best and retain these great staff members. The curriculum is on pace with all other schools and probably rivals them as well. I am so appreciative of the amount of caring for every student gets the right type of education at the school. The only thing that I might say they could do better is that because of Covid and some other arising issues is that sometimes the class had to do some maintenance work around the school that was not planned in the curriculum and we really did not learn on those kind of days. We did not mind it much and always did help out, but felt like we had no choice. This is not a complaint, but an opportunity for the school to address the issue. Maybe they could implement this into the curriculum and let students know that there may be some days like this that may arise, so that all students are aware issues like this may arise. I am really sad to leave, but know that I am prepared for what lies ahead in my future. Thanks again to all the Staff, Instructors, and last but not least The Owner of the School. I can see why they got a Seal of Approval from the White House.

I recently graduated from ACI’s 9-month HVAC certification school, and it was fantastic! Albert has almost more years experience in HVAC than I’ve been alive! He was very informative, plus we also had resources from multiple teachers, including Matt and Shawn. All the information they give you is all real-world stuff, based off of decades of experience in the field. About a month before graduating, I was EPA certified, TDLR certified, and had a full-time job lined up. They even helped me with my resume and getting a job. (which to be honest isn’t difficult, because places are hiring HVAC techs like crazy right now) Now I’m working full time, and started off with really good hourly pay + Overtime. Thank you Mr. Teacher Albert.... You are the man, Shawn!!!

I must say that the moment I spoke to Shawn Jamali over the phone in March of 2014, my life changed. He motivated me to come on in to show me what Austin Career Institute could do for my life. The training was awesome. The staff and also the things that the work force offered as well. The tools and the laptop gave us the ability to learn and graduate. The first class that he instructed and we are awesome. I jumped into remote command HVAC where I controlled units throughout different cities from a command center. I moved on from there using my Austin Career Institutes knowledge to land a job in the Artificial Intelligence Robotics field to drive and program self driving autonomous cars. I traveled the United States promoting the self driving technology while also performing trouble shooting and wiring techniques that I learned in school. I am continuing my journey in robotics as a technician with self driving forklifts. My journey has been amazing. I owe a huge thank you to Shawn and his amazing team. Im forever grateful. Thanks.

I feel like ACI made a great change in my life for I want to be in my future. It was very convenient to get back and forth from class since I depend on a Capital Metro. What really made it an awesome school to attend, was how much the teachers and councilors cared about my focus on what wanted to achieve in life.

Austin Career Institute is a great school to attend to learn an aspiring career in the HVACR industry. As a transitioning veteran Austin Career Institute helped me to achieve my goals and gave me the tools to eventually start my own business. The staff there is also amazing and will make sure you understand the material taught. They will even help you with other things such as resume writing, clothing for jobs, and job searching. I highly recommend Austin Career Institute to my fellow veterans and any other individuals looking for an exciting career in HVACR.

The program is free if your qualified , also includes basic tools. Only two things you need to do. one, get off the couch and meet with aci Two, get ready to learn. Hands on with a staff thats wants you to excel. keep in mind a two week crash course will not give you the knowledge needed. full 9 months is needed to grasp and obtain the basics. make the right move and choose A C I.student and thankful ,ovmike

After a change in careers, I had an opportunity through the Texas Workforce Commission . I was asked to review several schools before making a decision on where I would take the HVAC. I met with the Administrator, who was very down to earth and was able to explain the value of coming to school here ACI, I received tools to start me with off in the trade. The instruction is great for a majority, if not all, styles of learning.A BIG plus for me is the hands on training that we are receiving when it comes to learning the different concepts that we are going through. The additional benefits include the teacher very professional help me create my resume and job searches...In 2 more weeks I will be graduate at school and today I got a company hiring me as HVAC Tech, I so happy... Thanks Mr Shawn.I would highly recommend this school for those who want an opportunity for a new career.

After one career, I was looking for something challenging to do. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to become an Electrician, Plumber or Air Condition Technician, looking for new career on a different path, I was given an opportunity of the life time. Training program that is paid for, all I have to do is pick and choose. I was task with simple research, determine the best program I wanted to attend and the school I wanted to go to. If you want to know why I picked Austin Career Institute, READ ON!The opportunity to make money and a lot of it, lies with Air Conditioning. According to Department of Labor, the growth rates between 2012-2022 for; Electrician is 20%, Plumber is 21% & Air Condition Tech is 21%. There are 583,500 Electricians, 386,900 Plumbers & 267,600 Air Conditioning. Where do you think the opportunity and potential jobs are at? The 40 credit hours training everyone need to understand the principles, concepts and ability to diagnose system problem. I’ve looked at several locations where I want to attend training; 2 weeks program that promised to get you trained and qualified, 6 months program that would do the same, 2 community colleges and 2 locations with 9 months program. You can’t even learned and understand any principle in less than a month, how can a 2 weeks program teach, train and qualified you as technician – that school was off the table as soon as I looked. Once a week for 6 month program doesn’t sound so educational either, so that’s off the table as well. I concentrated on the 2 – 9 moths programs besides community colleges; one program is 5 days a week during the day, the other is 2 evenings a week. I know, why 2 nights a week be a better program, because I picked 2 nights a week. I’ve done 5 days a week training in similar environment, with large body students, you can’t learned as much as you want. Austin Career Institute offer 2 nights a week, but you can go during the day to practice on equipment, ask questions on anything you not sure about and even repeat class without additional cost in area you’re weak in. Anyone with serious commitment, it would’ve be long days, working during the day and attend school in the evening. But, you do have the option to work and study for a new career opportunity at the same time.I will admit, I was not 100% sure I made the right choice initially. It’s a small school with small facility, I’m so glad that I made the choice I made. I know I probably could learned at community college, but I would be learning same principles and concepts I’ve learned at ACU, and would not have much hands on opportunities if any at all and would take longer. The repetition of information provided and the hands on sessions in class, you can’t but just absorbed all the wealth of knowledge. Ive enjoyed the group of guys and learned so much. The school offered a great opportunity to make money, at the same time help people live comfortably in their homes. We all learned to build Air Conditional, Refrigerator and Freezer system, even thou they’re simulators, the principles were applied for each and tested to be fully operational. Come and see them for yourself. Here’s the bottom line, the two other program less than 9 months, could not provide me with employment rate of its students, the other 9 month program said the school has 80% employment rate, Austin Career Institute didn’t have a graduation class yet, but, several of the students are employed in the filed while going to school. It turns out, ACU has 100% employment rate for the 2 graduation classes. My class? Even though not everyone graduated yet (some students comes into the class in the middle of the program), those who have graduated are working in the field. That would make 3 classes with 100% employment rate….now that’s IMPRESSIVE!

I think this school offers a good chance for all people to achieve economic and social stability. High-level technical classes are provided for people of almost all school levels; They are taught in English and Spanish, at different times, and there are also technical English classes focused on the terminology of the course. Access to the course is possible even for low-income people, and tools, computers and other benefits are provided from the start at no cost for better learning development.
