Fun class! I went with my sister because she struggles with staying present and meditation. The way Jason teaches the class, there is an emphasis on awareness and presence and a connection of body and mind that will be a useful tool beyond the dojo.

I highly recommend the Art of Falling class. This is important training for everyone, particularly those getting up in years. I am 70 years old and I found the class to be useful and fun. Take it before you fall and injure yourself.Jason is a really great guy to work with. He is patient and really wants you to succeed.

The life lessons I have learned here on how to respond to inner and outer conflict from a relaxed way of being, has changed the way I treat others and myself. I absolutely appreciate this offering in the Austin community. Thank you.

I enjoyed my first class here, the whole group was very welcoming and helpful. I thought Jasons instructive style matched what I understand to be the style of Aikido, and I learned a lot in the short time I was here. I will be back for more!

I started practicing Aikido at Austin Ki Movement with my partner about 9 months ago. I was a beginner while he had been practicing for several years. Despite this difference in experience, Senseis Jason and Janet have been able to gear classes such that he can practice what he needs to know for advanced rank requirements while I am able to participate the same techniques at a more basic level. With their encouragement and help to prepare, I recently completed my test for 5th Kyu, which is the first rank.Although classes are active, they’re not intensely cardio-based, which is good for me. I have some health issues with headaches and fatigue that sometimes keep me from fully participating, but I can usually get through at least an hour. The senseis are always encouraging if I want to try something but understanding if I need to sit out. I usually leave class feeling better than when I went in. I have found a lot of basic techniques and principles help me in my daily life as well.
