The staff at this school are very good at telling you all the great things they will do for your child. Unfortunately, the actions do not match the lip service. Its all just talk and my son has received none of the help he was promised when I transferred him. Also, make sure your child does not forget their lunch as the school will not help in any way and will let your kid go hungry until release at 4pm. Any time there is an event or they want my son to do tutoring over the weekend, I always receive only 24 hours notice or less. They actually called me on a Monday over the summer, asking me why my son wasnt in school that day. Apparently, he was supposed to go to summer tutoring but of course, nobody bothered to inform me. The letter for summer tutoring was sitting in my mailbox THAT DAY when I got home from work. So, I guess i needed to be psychic in order to have him there. The idea of a charter school is nice, but the reality is fewer services and a rotating staff. Both the principal and dean of students left without notice and much of the teaching staff as well over the summer. Good luck trying to get a hold of anyone. The receptionist only answers about half the time and messages and emails are ignored. Definitely not impressed but also not surprised. Public schools in this country are a joke. If I could afford private school or had the time as a single mom with 2 jobs to home school, thats what Id be doing.

Weve been with the Eden Park and Sci-Tech school system since the very beginning. I pulled my child out after middle school because she just wasnt receiving the kind of education that would prepare her for high school or college. I was right and through tutoring and support, she is thriving and doing well at a bigger high school that offers her opportunities that this small charter just cant. It is unfortunate that Sci-Tech does not have the resources because it does have potential. However, Id rather that my childs potential be maximized than the schools.

This school is one of the worst I have been to, and Ive been to five. The teachers are biased, disrespectful, and rude. The students are very closed minded and are rude because they can and are very ghetto. The staff and office are very biased, and can help you with literally nothing. The dress code is ugly and makes you not growing to be yourself in finding your self, if that makes sense as well as making us look like target workers. I have learned literally nothing at this school, and just hope my past knowledge backs me up. Please do not bring your children here. Thank you, and i will gladly never come here again.

Scitech is unprofessional when you try to call them they will not pick up the phone .it seems like no ones not in the office at all the . The main principle of the school picking on my son in the hallway while grandmother seeing this. The main principle told my son to stay after school acting all rude to him and other kids and teachers and workers saw that it was unprofessional. What kind of school is this. We need a good principal thats going to stand by our kids not be rude or talk about are bully honestly the principal has issue problems at home. Other kids are talking about the main principle that she is rude and mostly teachers that seeing what she done in the hallways. Do not enroll your kids at all at this Middle School theres other schools to enroll thats better than this. Just keeping it professional I called her left a message no response.

The education is very good but they are very lenient with rule breakers. One kid has gotten in more than 13 fights but still doesnt get expelled because he didnt throw the first punch

This last year with the new administration and staff has been very poor. It is a result of poor parental collaboration, poor communication, lack of skills/knowledge for differential learning. I would not recommend this school.

I dont like it. It takes the staff a long time to get back to you, and its even worse in the office. Honestly the best thing about this place is the IB certification. The school has an arts program thats worse than the Shrek movies. They have no money to spend on it and pay more attention to the athletics program than the academics. Dont come here

It seems like the bad reviews are from former students who werent a good match for this school. I have two students at SciTech. We chose this school for many reasons, not the least of which is their candidacy for the exceptional International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. Uniforms help the students focus on their education rather than the fashion sense of their classmates. As far as the concern about developing a sense of self - if you need clothes to help you define yourself, youve got after school, weekends, and all summer to work on that. School time is school time.Staff are very responsive to students who want to learn. I have also found administration to be fair and easy to work with. I look forward to the new school building for the high school, since the conversion of a former Target is not ideal and its the one thing Id really like to change about the school.

This school has bad staff. Teachers dont pay attention to what the kids are doing. Students there are very ghetto the uniform is ugly I couldnt stand this school I will never come here again

This school is amazing! Soon it will be one of a handful of schools in Texas that are fully IB certified (PYP, MYP and DP). Of course, if you are not willing to work, this school is not for you. On the other hand, if you want to strive higher, push yourself farther and pursue a great future, this might be just the school for you.

Its dumb you get a referral for not tucking in your shirt and for wearing a hoodie and can’t afford a lot of things like pencils but could afford Mac books and iMac computers

This school is absolutely horrible a teacher has hit a student and many others and she didnt get fired and the teachers are very rude and there is nothing but bad kids there and the restrooms are filthy there is poop on the was and graffiti they cant give them paper towels becaus they will wet them and throw them and there are even kids dealing there

My had three phone stolen from him in less that a month and no action was taken.
