Absolutely Amazing!It is absolutely gorgeous from the outside and the instructors are both knowledgeable and friendly! I have no formal training or knowledge in dance, so I was a bit nervous at first.That went away immediately, all of the instructors are very approachable and made a newbie like me feel at ease. Theres so many different dances to choose from and you get to keep on building your skills. I always feel really happy after a class. Jason is my primary teacher, and hes very patient and kind in teaching new students. I take private and group classes, and theyve been great. Havent yet been to the socials yet, but they look amazing! Its actually a really smart concept.I highly recommend this for anyone looking to learn how to ballroom dance.I even wrote/drew a little comic about my first encounter with the studio. I was literally just walking by.

I have been coming here for about 5-6 months now and I have gone from not having a clue about dancing to being calm, confident and relaxed on the dance floor (some of the people say Im very good, but Ill never admit it).Without a doubt, this studio has THE highest quality of instructors and atmosphere. All of the instructional staff are unique with there fun and quirky personalities and vast experience, and even the reception ladies are some of the most loving and helpful people I have ever met.This place isnt somewhere you can go to learn how to dance, its somewhere where you can go to have a life changing experience! I have no regrets coming to this studio or having any of my embarrassing moments at some of the events. I would do it all again in a heartbeat.After all I have been through so far in life, this place is without a doubt my top place I recommend to visit.

Hey you people watching through the windows, you should come in and try dancing. I can guarantee you’ll love it. A fair warning though, once you take the first introductory private lesson you’ll be addicted to the world of dance. You won’t regret starting dancing though. Dancing here has been an amazing experience. I originally tried it as sort of a lark because I have danced some socially and enjoy it. Now I keep coming back because they are great at what they do. Regardless of your level, strengths and weaknesses, they tailor a plan to you. My instructor is Jason and he is wonderful. Not only a knowledgeable and patient teacher, he clearly loves dancing and teaching. His enthusiasm is contagious. I’m sure all of his students feel as “taken care of” as I do. Every instructor I have met and observed is wonderful. If you are on the fence, try it and see. You won’t be disappointed.

I have been going to social classes for several months and I just started taking private classes with Jason, who is an absolute gem along with all the other instructors in the studio. Hands down, one of the best experiences of my life and a hobby that I hope to continue for quite some time. The people are amazing - instructors, front desk and other students alike, the quality of instruction is excellent, and the studio has a lot of energy and a great vibe. I’m not one to go to dance studio’s, but thought I’d give it a try. Went to my sister’s dance class to check it out and I must say I was surprised on how I enjoyed it. The atmosphere was just a great, meaning people were social and friendly. I didn’t feel like an odd ball, but felt part of.The most part that I look for in places is how the environment is, and let me tel you it’s super clean! Most of all I loved the chandelier that they had in the studio. I would definitely say I’d go back and bring some friends with me next time.

From the very beginning the team of Dance with Me has been professional, responsive, and friendly in all our communications via phone, text, and email. Deborah and Kelly were especially kind and patient with me and my million questions.When I did finally take the plunge and sign up for my introductory class I was amazed at my experience! Every single team member that came within a 10 foot radius introduced themselves with a friendly hello, their name, and a warm handshake. When you enter into a new activity, especially one so physical, it brings up a lot of vulnerability. The friendliness of the team at Dance with Me calmed my nerves and invited me into their world.What a beautiful world it is! The ballroom is clean, decadent, and spacious. The sound system is not too loud so you can easily hear your instructor while still (attempting) to sink into the rhythm. My instructor, Johnny, was SUPER kind, professional, and empathetic. He began our session with an initial consultation about why I was there and what I hoped to learn. He is a true coach! Throughout the instruction he would connect what we were working on back to my core reasons for signing up in the first place...so that I could build confidence to attend dance events throughout the rest of the city, alone. It was because of his ability to communicate a long term plan to build that skill base and confidence that I did not hesitate to sign up for a private lessons with him and subsequent group dance classes.My abs and legs are happy sore and Im so excited to get back for the next class!

I can not say enough great things about this place. First of all, the studio is beautiful but most importantly ALL of the dance instructors and staff are absolutely incredible. The ladies at the front desk always greet me by name and with a warm smile. What a fun place! Awesome dance studio in the heart of rock rose street. I am enjoying taking the fun group classes, especially with all you can. There is a huge variety of classes from salsa to waltz. And with the instructors breaking it down and making it fun, its wonderful. I feel like I am learning a lot, and I had no prior dance experience. Not to mention the dance party on Wednesdays that are bumping and with some cheese and wine, its really fun dance social event. You have to try it!

The team at Dance With Me is the nicest group of people you ask to work with; everyone there is so warm and welcoming. Their introductory sessions are amazing, the atmosphere is so fun, and every dance you want to learn is broken down so well. They offer such a wide variety of dances, and multiple ways you can learn them- private lessons, group lessons and dance parties. The instructors are all so kind and passionate about teaching the dances– Johnny in particular has been awesome to work with! I have never been a dancer, but he has helped me learn so much in only a couple of lessons. You will not regret coming here, they genuinely care about what they do, and it shows!

Dance With Me is the finest dance studio that Ive ever stepped foot in (okay Ill admit, its the only one Ive been to!) but Im not sure how any other studio could improve upon the Dance With Me experience. On arrival, the front desk staff is always friendly and welcoming (shout out Kelly, Deborah and Crystal!). The instructors are knowledgeable and professional, and I feel that their skill sets are complementary. Ive never danced a step in my life before coming here. Even as a newcomer, I felt welcome. I had attempted to take some ballroom dancing in San Antonio a few years back with a “professional” dancer. I left the 4th lesson vowing to never try again as I felt like a total ungainly failure. I was going to take only one lesson with Jason at “Dance with Me Austin” as a friend wanted me to. Jason proceeded to change my whole perspective on my abilities and I left that FIRST lesson knowing how to Tango!!! I’m now on my 4th Lesson with Jason and I know the basics of the Tango, Waltz, Rumba, Salsa AND Foxtrot. I’m absolutely in love with this place and the people. They have social group dancing too and the other dancers are wonderful and welcoming. This studio is a fantastic addition to the Austin dance scene. The studio welcomes you and makes you feel like family from the moment you walk through the door. For someone who has danced for a while or enjoys competitive ballroom dance, the level of instruction is outstanding. For those who are interested in social dancing or even those who have been intimidated to try dance classes, you could not find a more encouraging and welcoming place. I completely agree with the previous reviewers. The studio works hard to cater to each person. My dance lessons with Tiago are one of the highlights of my week. He is a great teacher, terrific dancer and talented choreographer who is always thinking about what movement will make you look best. All of the instructors are supportive and encouraging and Im looking forward to working more with the rest of the team.

My wife and I are very passionate about ballroom dancing, and for the few months that we have been taking lessons at the Dance With Me studio in the Domain weve had an absolutely amazing experience. This is the place to be if you are a beginner or professional dancer wanting to improve your skills, Johnny and Adriana are excellent teachers, Tiago is always there to give you hints on how to improve, Debora and Kelly at the front make everything so easy when you start and have all these questions and they always have a smile on their face when you come in! Its a great workout and I always have a blast when I come in for my lessons. I wanted to improve my very basic salsa skills, but now I am dancing a little bit of everything! I have so much fun when I go to either my private lessons or the group lessons. Wednesdays are Party nights and you get to dance with everyone, it is really fun!

One of the best social place to come and learn how to dance. This is a place you will come to take your mind off thing. You dont need a partner to learn how to dance all the student are so friendly. The group class are the best as to open up your self to remove the shy ness ( tust me I am dancer with two left foot ****). Johnnys class will make you in to a true dancer as he will help you with every single position your hand and tows needs to be. Adan and Jason have the unique way of teaching something out of the box. Last but not least Adriana and Emma the two fire cracker they will make you move on the dance floor with out you even noticing. I am a competitive ballroom dancer and recently started dancing again when the Dance With Me studio opened in November. I have such a renewed love of dancing because of the fabulous instructors there! I take private lessons from Tiago and Adriana, and not only has my ballroom dancing truly taken on a new level, but I have gained more passion, confidence and creativity for dance.The studio itself is run very professionally and FRIENDLY...I feel so welcome every time I walk into the studio. They send me reminders of my lessons and always work with me on scheduling (I travel alot so I dont have a fixed lesson time). I havent taken any of the group lessons, but they look super fun and have a great mix of students.THANK YOU Dance With Me !

This is the best dance studio in the Austin area. My husband and I take dance lessons there twice a week. We went from barely two stepping to doing complicated routines in just a couple of months. We are also learning salsa, rhumba, Argentine tango, and east coast swing. The dance instructors are so patient and helpful. Adriana, Emma, Tiago, Johnny, and Jason are the real deal. This is an amazing studio!

I took classes before in another state. But Johnny is definitely the best dance instructor I ever had. He gives you clear tips to improve your technique. I learned more from him in 5 sessions than after months with my previous instructor.Everyone at the studio is friendly and welcoming. There is a very nice atmophere. It carries over to the students who all seem to enjoy the time they spend there.The Instructors are amazing. They really want to see you do well while having a good time. Austin local - We got a Groupon deal to try this place and lived it so much we bought 5 lessons. Ask for Emma. We did private lessons but they have group classes. You get a free month of group lessons with the 5 private lessons. Plus they have party night where you can show off your skills. They are just a big space but the Frontdesk is helpful.

Its a welcoming environment for learning - whether your goal is to meet people and learn enough of the basics to become a good social dancer, or to perform and compete. They offer private lessons, group classes and weekly practice parties. The instructors are as friendly as they are talented. They will tailor a program around your goals - and around your availability. Right now I am learning the basics of waltz and foxtrot, refining my cha-cha, practicing Cuban-style salsa rueda and preparing for a performance of Argentine Tango. It is SO MUCH FUN! I wish I could give more than five stars!Taking classes (both private and group) at Dance With Me is an amazing experience .I only started this January after having seen my friend perform in their showcase. Ballroom dancing has been a long forgotten dream of mine and I always thought, without a partner there was no chance to pursue this dream (my husband is very busy at work and cant come to class with me).At DWM that is not a problem at all. You can dance with or without a partner here.Jason was the first instructor I met (I still take classes from him). He is patient, professional and above all has a great sense of humor.In a sort of buddy system I am also working with his lovely wife Emma, who provides me with the female perspective.Between the two of them I feel the right amount of push to explore my dancing capacities.I have made much greater progress in two months than I ever expected.To supplement my private instruction with Emma and Jason I additionally go to a lot of the group classes at DWM.There is everything from Technique through Flexibility to Salsa, Bachata and Basics of Ballroom but my absolute favorite class is called Fit In Heels (think channel your inner Beyonce -So. Much. Fun.).I have met all of the instructors and everyone is so professional and super sweet.The other students are all welcoming and open to us newbies- not once have I felt out of place there.I love attending the weekly social parties, where you get a chance to practice your new found dance skills with others.If you ever wanted to dance or to just have fun - I would highly recommend to sign up for a class at Dance With Me!

Dance With Me is a ballroom dance studio open in the Domain, in Austin Texas. They offer lessons in a variety of dances, including:Rhythm (Cha Cha, Rumba, Mambo, East Coast Swing, Bolero)Smooth (Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Viennese Waltz)Latin (Cha Cha, Rumba, Jive, Samba, Paso Doble)Standard (Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Viennese Waltz, Quickstep)Social (West Coast Swing, Two Step, Hustle, Salsa, Bachata, Zouk, Kizomba, etc.)All of these are available in private lessons from one of their instructors (currently there are 2 who are follows and 3 who are leads), and some are offered in group classes (twice a day on weekdays, one on Saturday mornings).I have four years of experience dancing as a part of a college club sport, but minimal experience attending studios. This review will likely get long, as Im trying be as objective and comprehensive as possible. Note that I am reviewing this in March of 2018; some items such as what group classes are held and when they are held are likely to change.Pros:The instructors are all excellent, with a variety of different teaching styles. They are all courteous, professional, and awesomely supportive.The studio is gorgeous, with an excellent floor, chandeliers, etc. They also have many small comforts that are awesome in a ballroom studio, such as deodorant and mouthwash in the bathrooms.The social dances (typically Wednesdays as of March 2018) serve appetizers and wine, helping to create a luxury atmosphere.The front desk staff are knowledgeable and friendly.The studio is located in the Domain-A convenient place for grabbing food before/after lessons, shopping, and there is usually parking nearby. Everyone in the Domain also gets to see you dance as you walk by. This could be pro or a con. Up to you ;)The studio offers lessons in the International Style (Latin and Standard), which many other studios in Austin do not (or treat as an afterthought).They offer a $40 introductory private lesson, which I highly recommend you try if youre interested in learning to dance.The group classes tend to be beginner friendly, with new people showing up nearly ever week. The most popular classes seem to be Argentine Tango/Cuban Salsa (Thursdays) and Kizomba (Fridays).Some of the cons:Private lessons are expensive. They are not that much more expensive than similar studios in the area, but you should be warned that the Domain tax is real, and be ready to commit a few hundred dollars per month if you want to take private lessons.Space is limited. There is only one floor, it is on the smaller side, and there are two structural supports in the middle of it. This means that you are often competing with other students during your private lesson for floor space, as well as music time. If you take private lessons, I highly recommend trying to schedule them outside of the group class times (6:50-8:30pm as of March 2018).The group classes tend to be beginner friendly, offering less benefit for experienced dancers. Some of the people who started attending early on are beginning to lose interest in the group classes. If you are able to afford it, DWM Austin has some of THE BEST instructors in Austin, especially if youre an upper-level dancer, and has an awesome luxurious ambiance. However, the cost might be prohibitive to many, and I dont recommend it if your budget is tight. There are less expensive studios in the area that are still quite good. Regardless, I think the best deserves five stars, and the only significant drawback is the crowded floor. DWM Austin gets a 4.5/5 from me, highly recommended!
