We love Bluebonnet! This will be our third year and my boys are thriving. Sylvia along with all the teachers are the best. They really put the kids interest above all else. We all know the challenges that went into the 2020 school year and they handled it great. They went above and beyond with all safety procedures.

We are so thankful that we found such an incredible school for our daughter. Sylvia is an incredibly smart, kind, and overall amazing director for this school. The teachers are wonderful, and they teach in a way thats best suited to each childs needs. They are very hands on, and my daughter flourishes in such a wonderful learning environment. We go out of our way, driving from Austin to this school, because we truly believe this is one of the best schools. Our childs reading, math, and writing improved greatly within a short time of going to school here. Also, her sense of responsibility, leadership, and confidence has grown significantly. If you are looking for a great school that pays attention to not only your childs learning needs, but help them thrive/ flourish as little humans. This one is hands down one of the best. If not the best. This school is a one of the best gifts to gift my daughter. The value it adds is priceless. We are looking forward to another excellent year of education here.

Im not really sure where to start other than to say we absolutely love this school and all the teachers that work there. We initially sent our oldest son a couple of years ago and were amazed at how he progressed during his time there. We were so pleased that we also sent our other son as well. The affection and love that the teachers have for all the children is entirely palpable. My wife and I have been so impressed by how much the boys have learned during their time at the school. They feel challenged, not in an intimidating way but rather in a motivating manner. Its gotten to the point that our children are eager for summer to be over so that they can go back and learn! We highly recommend Bluebonnet! You will not be disappointed!

One of the best things we could do for our daughter is Bluebonnet Montessori. She was happy to go there every day and was asking “to go to school” on the weekends))The teaching system and the personal approach to every kid is amazing. Our daughter learned critical life & social skills taught on top of the first rate academics. We absolutely love this place!

Our Son has been going here for 2 years now and will be sending our younger son there when it’s time. Could not be happier with how they treat our son and education is top notch. Sylvia the owner is a wonderful person and the staff has been there forever which was important to us. Save yourself the other interviews and get on the waiting list before it’s too late!

Bluebonnet Montessori is a wonderful school and community of teachers / parents. Weve had a student there from the age of 2.5 to 7 and are very satisfied with the academic abilities (especially in math and reading,) love of learning, ability to be independent, and completion of large projects. The school aligns with my views on treating children as individuals that can meet personal challenges. If the child is advancing they make the work more challenging rather than treating all the kids as the same and just expecting one level of progress from the entire group.Small class sizes and independent study allow kids to work in the directions that they are motivated for while the overall curriculum has an annual pattern to keep them well rounded and to bring newer kids up to speed while serving to refresh and reinforce the veteran kids. During the same class, kids at different ages and abilities become leaders that help each other. The younger ones are motivated to do the work the older ones can do and the older ones are helping the younger ones which reinforces the subject for themselves.Of note are the foreign language programs, music, art and various after school classes like yoga. There are several annual gatherings where the kids sing, play, and do small performances for the group of parents and siblings. Its a very special school and community to be part of. There is a healthy balance of learning, work, and socialization that lets kids be confident and smart.Would recommend it to anyone with children who are able to concentrate on tasks themselves. Those kids really take off at Bluebonnet because the pace of learning is largely self directed with teachers providing guidance, encouragement, and motivation.

Blue Bonnet Montessori is amazing! I wish I would have brought my kids here earlier! The staff truly cares about all the children and they have exceeded my expectations when it comes to the curriculum! My kids are learning so much more than they would be at a public school. I highly recommend!Fanya Randall

Our family has been with Bluebonnet for five years between two kids, and I couldn’t have asked for a better elementary experience for my children. They truly love learning! The principal, Ms. Silvia, has such compassion for children and such a love for teaching, as do all the teachers. Because it’s a smaller school, the teachers are able to spend a lot of individual time with the students. Not only do the kids receive a top-notch academic education, they also learn life skills, independence, and social responsibility.I absolutely recommend Bluebonnet Montessori to everyone. It is one of the top schools in the area!

Sending your child to Bluebonnet Montessori is the most amazing gift you will ever give them! It is a magical place with gifted and nurturing teachers that will give your child an incredible academic education, along with a reverent respect for the Earth and all of its inhabitants. Your child will be inspired with a love for learning. They will learn to peacefully resolve conflicts with other children. Their self-confidence will soar! They will LOVE going to school every day. Miss Sylvia (the director) has created a magical environment where the kids believe that anything is possible. My daughter left Bluebonnet because she aged out, but the other day she said to me, “Mom, Miss Shaw (one of her teachers at Bluebonnet) is an amazing teacher. She inspired me and I learned so much from her.

Both my kids go to Bluebonnet Montessori School of Lakeway and its amazing. They are grades ahead in math. The greatest gift they have been given though is the passion for learning. Once they got into the elementary classroom with Ms. Shah, the amount of information they began to process was amazing. I cannot say enough great things about their education. Their reading skills, math and science is wonderful. And the best part is, they love learning. Parents will warm up to the director, Silvia Smith. But she is a very loving, compassionate woman who absolutely has kids best interests at heart, she takes getting to know, but once you know her you will have someone supporting you and your child(ren) for years to come.

We had our son at another preschool when we heard about Bluebonnet Montessori. We moved our son to Bluebonnet b/c the curriculum far exceeds other programs out here. The curriculum is fun, engaging, challenging and very well rounded with robust music and art programs as well as Spanish and Mandarin classes. The community of parents is wonderful; everyone is so welcoming. The quarterly potlucks are kicked off with a beautiful music participation lead by the AMAZING music teacher. Both of my kids participated in the after school art class and absolutely LOVED Miss Rebecca. My son also loved the yoga classes and meditation time. This past summer both of my kids did the summer camp and had a blast. My daughter didnt attend Bluebonnet but was able to attend camp and art class as a sibling. She made wonderful friends and loved all of the activities.I wish I had more kids to send to Bluebonnet to keep us there for many years!

My kids have gone to Bluebonnet Montessori for years now, hands down the best school and environment you could ever hope for. The owner of the school (Sylvia) is the sweetest person you could imagine, but also a tough educator .The school has a very earthy feel, the kind of place that belongs in Austin and is supposed to be here. If I had to sum up the school in a few words it would be kindness, education and a sense of family and community

The school is amazing as are all of the teachers! My oldest son is leaving the school at the age of 9 and had a wonderful experience- he is leaving with the math skills of an 8th grader thanks to the brilliant Ms. Shah who teaches kids to love math & science. My middle son has blossomed at the school, first with Ms. Raza & Ms. Yvonne who knew exactly how to create an environment in which he could learn his way and now with Ms. Shah he is reaching his full potential. My youngest will start in September and thoughts of moving her to a school that is closer to our house were quickly squashed- we could never deprive her of the Bluebonnet experience her brothers have so enjoyed and grown from.We absolutely love the school, we love the love Ms. Silvia gives to each and every student and we adore the teachers!

I have had my daughter, briefly, in two other preschools and nothing compares to Bluebonnet Montessori. I have been amazed at how much my daughter has learned. She comes home with samples of her writing and mathematics. Whenever I look at her schoolwork, I am so happy that I found this school. She loves her teachers and I am excited to send my younger daughter to school there as well.

Our child spent 2 years at Bluebonnet Montessori of Lakeway. In the primary classroom, she learnt to read following the Montessori method employing phonics. We are happy with the progress she made and the fact that she continues to love reading to date. Additionally, with gentle & proactive encouragement, she developed a strong foundation in mathematics. She learnt to count, add, and developed basic geometry skills. The teachers kept abreast of her progress & challenged her to take the next step.In the elementary class, she was exposed to a well-rounded curriculum in Biology, Geography, History, Language, Science & Math, Music & Spanish. It was a mixed age classroom where she interacted with older kids.We know the teachers have created a lasting impression as she speaks fondly of them to date. The staff regularly provided us with updates during the week. At the end of the week, our child would bring home folders, workbooks, artwork & notebooks full of her weeks work. We enjoyed perusing through her daily journal where her thoughts were expressed through words and artwork. Creativity, imagination & individual expression was encouraged.Families are encouraged to be a part of the school. There is diversity among students & staff. The founder, Silvia Smith is deeply involved in every aspect of the school & has provided a good experience. She is open-minded, compassionate and a great ambassador for the Montessori way.

We moved to the area in the summer of 2015, and looked carefully for pre-schools for our child. Many of the options in the area seemed satisfactory, but frankly more like businesses than educational establishments. So then we stumbled across BlueBonnet, and our initial impressions were extremely positive. The owner is a tremendous spirit and a lovely person. The teachers are all extremely thoughtful, kind, smart, and worldly, in a benevolent way. The thought process behind the schooling is creative and functional. I can see the artistic in my son, and the engineer too. The teachers clearly love what they do, and it shines through. Interaction with the other parents has been tremendous - weve made many friends, and its been a really nice way to get involved in our local community. So to conclude, BlueBonnet does a great job developing our childs mind, and his spirit. And to add to this, they are kind, caring and honorable people, who want to make the world a better place. In my opinion, you couldnt ask for more.
